the food was super expensive for no reason and the cheese was very bad, The tater tots where super soggy the workers wherent terrible but I found a bug in my food. We also asked for a vanilla shake but was given a banana shake, overall bad experience.

The hostess rudely said she didn't have time to take my to go order and said to order online. My fries were cold and small portion $7.99. They gave me 1/2 cup 3 oz of Chili and I complained that I paid for a bowl $8.99 hostess said that was their portion for a bowl. Terrible!

We stop by this place every time we visit GSR! Their shakes are our favorite! Onion rings cooked perfectly! We always enjoy our late night dinner from here! I wish the burgers were served with sides but I feel like serving entrees without sides is a normal thing at casinos.

I don't think I've ever had such a bad experience at a food place. The manager who runs this establishment should go have some training on how to properly manage. Seating took 45 minutes since they only had 1 waiter. They also decided to sit my party of 3 in a 2 person table and brought a chair up for my third. Ordering our food took an additional 15-20 minutes. Once our food came out, they got our order wrong and it came out cold. One of our bacon burgers had a depressing amount of bacon. We waited and waited until the server could come and hand us some barbecue sauce that we needed for the extremely dry burger they served (they never came). At that point we just got up and left. Never coming back to this establishment again.

Open late in the GSR resort! Ordered online, had my bf go downstairs to pick it up, service was quick and efficient! He said it was your typical JR ambiance with diner style counters etc, grab and go service! Food was good! Prices seemed a little jacked up since it's located in a hotel, but at the moment it was fitting!

Nostalgia led me to suggest Johnny Rockets to my group for a quick meal, as the chain diner was just downstairs from our rooms at the Grand Sierra Resort. As adolescents, we'd go to the Fisherman's Wharf location in SF & to one in Reno whose exact location escapes my memory. No one was too thrilled with their burgers or sandwiches but the worst item were their chicken tenders. I don't believe these were made using chicken breast. (The Yelp pics from a year ago looked to be made with chicken breast.) The portion was generous & the ranch was actually a good one but I don't fvck with pressed meat. Thick breading on the onion rings, the kind that scratches up the roof of your mouth, but I wouldn't say no to any kind of onion ring. Skeleton crew running this sad joint that used to be fun, retro, & exciting to eat at. No dedicated hostess & our poor waiter was overworked with the amount of tables he had to cover. We tipped him generously as he was awesome, given the circumstances. If it wasn't already obvious, skip skip skip Johnny Rockets, at least this Grand Sierra Resort location.

We needed a quick bite before going to a comedy show at GSR. This was perfect and grateful for a veggie burger option even a vegan shake was on the menu! The fries were not very good unfortunately, no salt? The service was quick and friendly. We sat at a cute little booth and had a nice quick dinner. Needed a break from all the crowds upstairs so this was just right.

Burgers and service were great! I like diner-style food and got a Route 66 which was really tasty, and my boyfriend got the double Smokehouse and his friend got the Spicy Houston. They both really liked their food. Tina was our waitress and was really attentive and efficient!

We're staying at Grand Sierra for New Year and the kids love Johnny Rockets here on the ground floor. Our server was Keith, an energetic, career made, fun and had a great sense of humor. Our foods were great, chicken strips, Route 66 with onion rings, Philly cheese steak and the shake of the month, too rich and sweet for my taste. A simple lunch and everyone was full and happy. I came here with my boyfriend and we found this place while looking for something to eat at the GSR. Upon coming in, I loved the diner look and noticed that the inside was super clean. The place itself isn't too big but it wasn't busy when we came in. Our server was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the rocket single with a side of onion rings. The burger was juicy and cooked just right. The buns were buttered up and soft. And the onion rings were very crunchy. I also shared a cookies and cream milkshake and they were nice enough to split it into two different glasses for us. The milkshake itself was loaded with Oreos and was enough to fill both of us up. I loved my experience here at Johnny Rocket's and I can't wait to come back to try more food and shakes! read more

10:50pm, 10 minutes before they closed Ten minutes before they closed, I came by racing down from the 12th floor of the hotel room to grab a snack and shake. They were nice enough to prepare my midnight snack and a shake for my baby cousin even though they were just about to close! In addition, staff are very friendly and welcoming! The Grand Sierra Resort, definitely does have so many varieties of things. read more

Nothing wrong with anything you could order here. In fact, I would say it's the only safe place to eat in the entire GSR. Prices are high, but unless you're willing to walk back to the parking lot and leave the GSR campus to eat somewhere else, just pay. Your stomach and GIT will thank you. And as American burgers and shakes go, you'd have to drive pretty far to beat Johnny Rocket's. -the ghoul read more

Tina was exceptional, kind and helpful. Shwe had ice water for me before I sat down at the table. She took my order just as I requested it, she offered good add on such as mushrooms and grilled onions. Then offered to bring me half and half when I couldn't decide between fring or rings. THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC...at the end she packed up my leftovers inlcuding my ranch. I really loved her funa and bubbly personality. read more

Maybe it's the crew that was on for this night(yesterday) but the service speed was slow. Out fries and tator tots weren't crispy. Other people were waiting as well for their order and the wait seems to be alot longer than usual. The wait had to be over 30 minutes from waiting in line to getting the food. There was 6? 7? Working in the back. Would come back if the speed was of the service was much faster. read more

What can I say, they know how to make a delicious burger! Rocket double with pickles and relish FOR THE WIN. It was juicy, greasy, messy, and completely satisfying. Add some tots and call me tomorrow!! Our server, Kara, was the best! She was attentive and courteous and made ketchup dog faces for all her counter customers. Usually I end up at Johnny Rockets drunk at the end of the night, this time it was early in so I really appreciate the yumtastic and delicious and decadent offers. read more

Keith is the Bomb.com of waiters. That dude makes Johnny Rockets one of the happiest places on earth - and that's a hard thing to do in a Burger Joint that sits in a Casino that sits in the middle of a smaller city. I'm pretty sure that he wakes up with a smile on his face and was a comedian in a past life. Long story short - Keith makes puns out of everything. He draws happy faces all over the place with ketchup (which I am sure you have seen in the pics) - and he uses different voices for each smiley face since he's make the face match the person eating the food. Along with his comedy he always makes sure drinks are full and that you are 100% happy with your meal. The food is always great, the ambiance is super cute and the prices never make us un-happy. Because of Keith we actually ENJOY parking in the awful GSR lot and walking what seems to be 2 1/2 miles to eat. Please don't ever leave Keith - the place would never be the same without you. read more

We took a friend out for her birthday to J Rocket. My husband and I had a burger and fries. My friend a grill cheese and fries. 3 sodas and one child's malt. The total cost was 70 dollars which did not include the tip. The tip was generous only because our waiter, Noah was Outstanding. TINA was a 100/10 server. If Forbes were to come in undercover and shop them, this casino better hope they get her as a server. She saw that we had waited for our server slightly too long and took on us and the rest of her tables with ease! She was very kind and attentive. Food was what I would have expected at 3 AM at a diner. Not bad, but priced too high for the quality. Over all, despite being busy our server was amazing and she made the visit the 5 stars given here. read more

The workers were also very confused on how to ring things up and what was included in a kids meal and had to come by the table for us to remind them what we ordered on a sandwich because they didn't understand the ticket produced by their machine. They had to call the owner to get help. The worst part is it took forever to get out sandwiches. We had places 2 orders. The first one came out after about 20 minutes. But another 20 minutes went by and we had not heard a peep from anyone. So I went to the register and there were no customers. I told them I was checking on our order and they looked confused. My order was sitting in a bag on the back counter!!! No one noticed or checked on it. We didn't get our sandwiches for 40 minutes after ordering them.

I've always had a great experience at Johnny Rockets but as of late everything has changed. I waited a really long time for my food and when I express my concern for the wait and a manager/supervisor laughed in my face. His name was Carl.. this is not the first time I've had to deal with him or see him treat staff with respect. I'm in the industry myself and it's such a joke for a man in his position to sit on his behind while everyone around him worked to make things work... there are so many better options than this man.. great food... great servers... atrocious leadership... if it weren't for the women under him who literally do his job unless A general manger or boss of some sort is around... if I owned a restaurant, ran a restaurant or even attended the establishment and witnessed this; You would see the whole company is compromised and in need of change ... the ladies are amazing the older gentleman Mike is also amazing... a lot of business is about how it's ran.. and the way Carl treats his staff and peers makes me want to boycott Johnny Rockets but it also motivates me to have anything and everything done to see this place be how it was... I will reach out to every resource available to see my favorite place be my favorite place again... if someone could contact me about how to get a hold of upper management it'd be amazing because I've complained about this mans disgusting demeanor, lack of work ethic and courtesy before and was told personally by him that a man named Hamlet would help me with my inquiries and never heard a damn thing... there's good people at the place and they make people smile. What is wrong with telling your customers " Hey sir kids are not allowed to sit in those chairs rather than blankly telling us off not to served if your kids are sitting in those chairs?
