I have been here several times and they never disappoint! They make it really easy to order through texting. The best combo dish is the Crab Fried Rice added Shrimp!! You will dine off of it for at least 2 meals or more or 2 people, but I don't think you will want to share . Be sure to get the Chili Oil and Johnny's sauce and pour on top! Be careful, the chili oil is SPICY but delicious! I did try the Pineapple Nhem Fried Rice and Basil Chicken Fried Rice and it's delicious too, but my absolute favorite is the Crab Fried Rice with Shrimp! Customer service is amazing too. read more

Johnny Wokker has a serious issue with honesty about order times. I was told the food would be ready in 6 minutes, but this place has a history of saying that when the order is nowhere near done. It's extremely frustrating and wastes drivers' and customers' time. On top of that, the place smells like ass, and if you eat here you'll probably be smelling like it for a week because the odor is so bad. Lying about food being ready is messed up and unprofessional. If you're busy, just be honest about the wait instead of giving fake times. read more

Ok Let's start out that I know the owner, but that is not why I am giving this place 5 stars. I am giving this place 5 stars because their crab fried rice is the bomb. Load it up with some shrimp and you will not be disappointed, ok so the prices are not cheap but you cannot get this made to order crab fried rice anywhere. Food comes out piping hot just prepared by the man himself "Johnny", this is some good stuff. So lets rate the other areas Service - Excellent = Crab Fried Rice Decor - Excellent = Crab Fried Rice What I am trying to say is once you scoop up your first helping of the crab fried rice and place it on your taste buds - everything is excellent. There are other stuff on the menu that are probably excellent, but I will save that for my next visit. read more

Johnny Wokker is so delicious. My favorite meat was definitely the fried pork belly. I really enjoyed the pad see ew, the drunken noodles, and the basil fried rice. It is a really big portion for a reasonable amount of money. I always have leftovers to eat the next day. Johnny Wokker will be my go to place whenever i'm craving thai food! read more

Finally! I've been following Johnny Wokker since they were a food truck. I never got to try the food truck, but finally visited their brick and mortar, and it exceeded my expectations. They offer Southeast Asian cuisine. I ordered the most popular item on the menu, Crab Fried Rice, and an order of Pad See Ew with beef. The crab fried rice was cooked perfectly with tons of crab, egg and green onion, well seasoned, not greasy or salty at all. I added shrimp. They use large shrimp. The Pad See Ew was saucy with Chinese broccoli, tons of beef, and egg. Good service too. The guy that was working up front might have been the owner, was very personable. Finally got a chance to check out my guys new spot. Man. Man props to this fella and the family. I've seen the hustle and grind over the years to achieve this dream. I want to first, start off by saying, I love the food at Johnny Wokker and I give them but I'm giving them a one to bring attention to this review. Thier lort cha is amazing and it's was good from when they had their food truck and it's good when I order for myself from their restaurant. But when I ordered it for catering for my niece birthday, the flavor was lacking and it tasted almost burnt. Wow, we were impressed with how fresh this food is! We ordered chicken wings with garlic fried rice and chicken Lao mein with pineapple fried rice. We enjoyed everything but were not huge fans of the strong curry in the pineapple fried rice. However, we are definitely coming back again! First time trying JW and OMG it's as good if not better than the hype. I ordered through DoorDash and got the special Garlic Chicken Fried Rice comes with Chicken Wings and a Drink and I added Crispy Pork Belly with it. The food was so fresh and hot and with house sauce and chili oil the flavor was amazing. The Chicken Wings were crispy, juicy, seasoned perfectly! I highly recommend this place the food is great and all of their dishes they use fresh ingredients and you can tell they put their heart and love into each dish they cook because of the taste and the presentation and their house sauce is the bomb and all of their employees are very very kind and polite it's really nice to kick back in there eat dinner watch a fight or check out some music videos or just have a good conversation with whoever you're dining with.. once you check this spot out it'll become one of your favorites guaranteed... This is my first time trying Johnny wokker , I was going by the reviews of the crab fried rice with shrimp and it does live up to its hype ! The fried rice has plenty of crab and it was filling! it is definitely shareable and enough to last 2 to 3 days! My sister in law ordered crab fried rice on our recommendation, when she brought it home, we're were wondering if there is a world wide crab shortage . We found a small section of the thinnest leg of an anorexic crab. Hopefully they get their stuff together. I felt bad for telling her how delicious the rice was. I still would recommend this business. They are definitely receiving a ton of awesome reviews, which of course causes more demand which of course is gonna be hard to catch up with and I think people need to realize that when they place orders that you have to be patient it is a you know it's not it's not a chain restaurant I don't believe so it's not like it's a chilies or BJ's or Texas roadhouse you know they don't have hundreds or you know 3040 employees they might have a handful of employees or I'm not sure exactly how many but you have to realize that they are trying their best to keep up with the demand. The food has been delicious every time I've been there the customer service and times has been lacking, but other times has more than made up for that be prepared to maybe place your order for pick up and then give it a little bit of a window of time or make a night out of it and go there early watch the games chat with your community neighbors and enjoy good food. They also offer a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic as well as they have multiple places in the area where you can get Thai tea or other beverages of similar variety. I right now am cooking, but all I can think about are the chicken wings there and the fried rice with pineapple, tofu and chicken that's one of my favorites. The crab, of course fried rice is amazing. Be prepared to eat a lot of food and have a lot of extras at the same time. read more

First time having food here and it was top-notch. You have a choice of getting either fried rice or noodles, and with the options and items it was amazing. I got the combo that came with chicken fried rice with 6 piece wings and a drink. It was quite the deal with the amount of food they packed. For the fried rice it was a crazy amount of food and flavor with every bite. My highlight though were the wings: nice crisp skin with each bite of delicious, seasoned flavor. The service was also excellent with the help of Rocky, one of the staffs that works there. He was excellent, attentive, and helped me weigh my options. The ambiance of the place was great and spacious, the layout of the store just felt cozy and like home. Next time I got to try their noodle options! read more

Service casual with a nice wine/cocktail menu, cloth napkins and bread service. The early evening visit I went was super quiet and it seemed like the servers knew all the regulars in there. I like that vibe. Glass of Pinot Gris ($10/4.5*) Anytime I travel around and dine I try find if a local wine is available. I saw they had this unique white wine from a Lodi winery so I immediately went with that. Cool, crisp, slight stone fruit aroma with a minerally finish. Love those traits in a white wine with seafood. Cajun Shrimp ($20/3.5*) Upon arrival for the price I initially thought it was an iffy portion for the price. 6 smallish shrimps (1 n a half bites per shrimp). Very simply prepared, grilled lightly with just a smidge of cajun seasoning then served with 2 sauces (a cocktail and tartar). But as I ate these, I did start to like them more and more. The seasoning was not bold but did work well with the grill flavor. And a dab of creamy tartar sauce complimented the spiced-grill flavor nicely, and it paired super nice with the pinot gris. These ended up being better than I had initially perceived. Clam Chowder (4.5*) I chose a cup of chowder as it comes with an entree. A salad can also be had if you wanted. But I found their chowder to be quite ideal. Perfect creamy texture without being too thick and stodgy, and great presence of potatoes and tender clams. The flavor could be more briny/clam-y but that's just my preference. Great with a dab of Tabasco and a dip from their hearty table bread. Snapper Filet ($24/4*) Thin filet seasoned very mildly if any at all. Chose for it to be grilled versus fried or sauted. But you have choices here which I applaud. But it was so mild that I took a half pat of butter and melted it on top of the filet, sprinkled with salt and a squeeze of lemon. Totally amped up the dish. Next time I think I'll try a more involved dish like a seafood pasta. Served with nicely steamed veggies and red potatoes which I find comforting with simple seafood. Too full for dessert and their offerings did look promising. I visit my retired aunt and uncle in this town a couple times per year. The hot link sausage is my favorite. I also ordered a side order of the garlic noodles. I love garlic noodles but these are a little thin and dry and don't preserve as well when cooled down. I would love to try the shrimp, mussels and clams but the crab was more than enough. The service is spectacular. The owner is so nice. I visited Johnny Wokker on the 21st to try their food, which was good. However, my experience quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal due to poor handling of an incident. During my meal, I placed my retainers on the table. One of the servers mistakenly threw them away, and I only realized this after paying and preparing to leave. I politely approached one of the employees, who I believe is the owner's son, and asked him to check with the server about the incident. He confirmed that the retainers were thrown away and began searching the trash bin the server claimed to have used. I requested permission to search the trash myself, and while the son was cooperative and got approval from the owner, my retainers were nowhere to be found. What disappointed me most was the lack of support from the rest of the staff. No one else came out to assist the son, who was left handling the situation alone. I returned the next day to speak with the owner, but all that was done was the son taking down my name and number, promising I'd receive a call. It's now the 25th, and I have yet to hear back from anyone. As a result, I am left with a $300 expense to replace my retainers. While I understand accidents happen, the way this situation was handled felt dismissive and unprofessional. I was not offered a refund for my meal or any form of compensation, which adds to my frustration. It's disheartening to have an otherwise enjoyable meal overshadowed by such poor customer service. read more

Johnny Wokker, originally a food truck, built a loyal following for serving up some of the best Thai-Lao dishes, with Johnny's own unique flair. The restaurant itself has a casual, cozy vibe, and the staff were friendly and quick with service. If you're lucky, you might even catch Johnny's son singing a Boyz II Men song which was definitely a fun surprise! Their young server Auren is so nice and he really is talented. He took our order and cooked our food. Before I get into the review, I think it's only fair to mention that I rate buffets differently than traditional restaurants. My expectations are based on other buffets, where freshness, consistency, food rotation, and value matter just as much as presentation. This feels more like a small, family-owned neighborhood buffet than a large commercial chain, and I actually think that's part of its charm. The buffet isn't huge, but I'd rather have a smaller selection that's done well than a massive buffet where half the food has been sitting under heat lamps for hours. I sampled most of the buffet, and overall I was impressed. My favorite dishes were the beef chow fun noodles, chow mein, honey pork, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and the spicy chicken wings. The wings were especially good, they were nice and meaty with a great flavor and weren't loaded with fat like buffet wings sometimes are. Other solid choices were the sweet and sour pork, broccoli beef, and fried green beans. The only items that didn't really stand out to me were the vegetable egg rolls and crab rangoons. They weren't bad by any means, just average compared to the rest of the buffet. One thing that really stood out was how well the buffet was maintained. A staff member was constantly cleaning, rotating trays, and refilling food, so everything stayed warm and fresh throughout my visit. I never came across anything that was cold or looked like it had been sitting for a long time. The soda station was clean, drinks were self-serve, and the staff was friendly whenever I interacted with them. Most of the customers seemed to be ordering takeout rather than dining in, and after seeing the portions, I completely understand why. The takeout containers were packed so full they were almost difficult to close. For the price, the value here is outstanding. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars comes down to presentation. The dining room itself is clean, but it's very simple. From the drink station you can see directly into part of the kitchen, and the plumbing underneath the soda and ice machine is exposed, which makes the restaurant feel less polished. I didn't see anything that made me question the cleanliness or food safety; it was more of an aesthetic issue than a sanitation concern, but it does affect the overall atmosphere. That said, when I judge this place as a buffet rather than comparing it to a full-service restaurant, the food quality, freshness, service, and value easily outweigh those cosmetic issues. Would I come back? Absolutely. If you're looking for an affordable Chinese buffet with consistently fresh food, friendly staff, generous portions, and flavors that honestly surprised me, M Kitchen Buffet is definitely worth checking out.
