We ended up at Johnny's after our original brunch reservations at another restaurant were canceled without notice. Since we arrived after the breakfast rush, we were seated with minimal wait before the lunch crowd came in. The restaurant was busy, but service moved quickly, and we were able to place our orders right away. I ordered the cream cheese stuffed brioche French toast, which came with scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Since I'm not big on eggs, I asked about substituting the eggs with hard boiled ones instead. I was told it would be an upcharge because the scrambled eggs are made from liquid mix while the substitute would require real eggs. I decided to omit the eggs altogether based on that policy. It took a little while for our food to arrive, but everything came out hot. The French toast had just the right amount of sweetness, the bacon was cooked well, and the potatoes were nicely seasoned. Overall, the meal was satisfying, and I would definitely visit again when I'm in the area. **Free parking is available behind the business in a large city parking lot**

Hello, I've been here a few times before and the results are mostly pretty positive. I did sit at the bar for my last visit. Everyone I encountered was down to earth. I ordered the cajun penne pasta with blackened salmon. My first drink I can't quite remember the name (Tammy something) and then I ordered the spicy jalapeño margarita. The food and drinks were really good. Although I lowkey wanted the garnishes that's suppose to come with the jalapeño margarita. Other than that, I loved my meal. It definitely gave Cajun. The sauce was creamy and they gave you just the right amount on it. My salmon was good how I like it. I'll definitely be back to try something else soon.

Soooooo we drove by looking for a wing spot since the jimmy from Pinocchio place down the street looked sketchy. It was 2 pm on a Saturday.....let's just say we should have known what we were getting into when the DJ and music was so loud we could not really hear each other. We're over 40..... Unc & Auntie can't take all that. But he forged on. The booth we sat at was dirty and so had to clean it off because the hostess took too long looking for a cleaning cloth...I used napkins because ma'am I'm not about to just stand here. Food: actually delicious. Baked mac n cheese Lemon pound cake waffle Fried chicken salad Tenders dripping in Nashville Hot But we knew it was time to go when the twerking by our food started.....no ma'am !! It 230 pm on a Saturday why are we twerking near my waffles. Then Boots on the ground played.....let's pack this up. All we wanted was chicken.

Breakfast for dinner will always be a thing. We were greeted when we walked in. They had an amazing Playlist. The food was well seasoned. I was vegetarian today vs vegan and they had options for me. I ordered waffles, grits, and macaroni with a peach lemonade. My daughter ordered chicken and waffles with potatoes. We also ordered the fried biscuits. The biscuits and juice were both too sweet for our liking. My only issue is the 18% automatic gratuity. It should've been stated before we ordered. I understand that some people don't tip. They may only have enough for their food. I typically tip when I sit down at a restaurant unless the service is absolutely trash. In which this case, it wasn't. But once you select your own tip, I don't feel obligated to tip more. In this case, I planned on tipping more than the suggested amount.

I went on a random Monday afternoon about 3:30 after leaving the airport as I was wanting some good fried chicken. I've been here before but it was evening hours about 9pm. On this particular day it was slow, only 1 table had customers who look like they were actually done they were just chit chatting. I saw food boxed and bag. We ordered shorty after being seated. It took forever for our food to come out. My son was irritated and just ready to go but I was beyond hungry as I hadn't eaten all day; I calmed him down and we chatted as we waited and waited. As we were conversing I noticed the seats in the place look dirty. Not just the chair at the table I was sitting at but a few which turned me off. I didn't notice last time as it was dark inside since it was after 9pm. As time went on and we finally received our food; it didnt seem as though the server was much interested in if the customers were good or not. He was often in and out the establishment using his phone, at the bar chopping it up with other staff and patrons. We asked for refills which also took a while, by time it came my son forget he even requested it. When it came time for the bill even that took a minute. I had to flag him down like hi remember us; I did ask for the bill. There was no reason for such a delay as it was not busy. A few people came after we placed our order but still nothing to crazy. Given the slow service and the dingy seating I'd be hesitant to return even if I'm in the area. Service was lack

Went in for a late brunch. They were doing R&B bingo so it was a little loud in there. The service was pretty quick. However it was a little warm in the restaurant. It like the air was either off or on a low setting. We ordered the 3 whole wings and waffle and the chicken tenders and waffle. The food was just ok. The waffles tasted like something you could make at home. The chicken wings were small with not much flavor. The chicken tenders were better seasoned than the wings but over all wasn't worth the $70 we paid for 2 plates and 2 sodas. I will not be back.

The food was good. Service was fast and the ambiance was upbeat. But here's the reason I won't go back. It was only two of us but tip was automatically added, then there was another tip of 2-3-4 percent added that I could not exit from more less forced to. It seems like all the restaurants on main st in east point are doing this. A simple 40 dollar meal for two can turn into a 60-70 meal. Why is this the standard. Because of this one practice, I do not recommend spending your hard earned money here.

Food: The food is decent. I chose the chicken wings with a strawberry waffle. I don't like big chicken wings, but these were extremely small. My waffle was good. My hubby had the fab 4. Hr enjoyed his selection. However, the breakfast potatoes had too much salt. Service: Out waitress was great! It didn't take too long for our food to come out. Just know you will be charged 18% gratuity. We didn't mind considering our waitress was awesome!! Ambiance: we loved it! There was DJ there playing all of the hits from the 90's.

Walked into Johnny's late on a Friday night. We were greeted warmly and taken to a table. There were people in the bar and only one other occupied table... so I was a little concerned. The menu is pretty small- this is a niche joint- but oh my goodness, they rock their niche. We had an order of buffalo wings to start with medium sauce. I wanted more. I ordered the 4 piece fried chicken with a pecan waffle. I got lemon pepper sauce on the side. This was some of the best fried chicken I've ever consumed in my life, and fried chicken is my favorite food, hands down. This chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. The skin and crust was perfectly brown, perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. I could have asked for that lemon pepper sauce in a glass. It was so tasty, I wanted to drink it. The waffle was great too, but man, that chicken.

Overview: Chicken and Waffles are not their specialty....even though its their name Meal/Time: Dinner/Wednesday night 540PM Seated: 542PM Ordered: 548PM First ordered item arrived:  556PM Decor/Atmosphere: feels like a speakeasy with a diner attached to it. There was an attached bar with music playing. The bar area appears to be the focal point of establishment. Staff seemed to congregate there.  There is outside dining, but the AC is on inside. Service/ Front of the House: we were greeted and seated promptly Service/Serving Staff: Dashawn was friendly and helpful, but after dropping off the food he did not come back to check on us or to ask if we would like refills of the bottomless drinks Food: Starters -LOADED FRIES (Bacon, green onions, cheese sauce, crispy fries, BBQ sauce + Ranch dressing on side) - $12.00  There was no ranch dressing on the side.  The waffle fries came out lukewarm.  It was served in a room temperature skillet. Could have used a few minutes under the salamander.  The fries were flavorful with sweet BBQ Sauce and crunchy bacon.  Since the dish was not really hot, the cheese sauce was very lumpy and thick on top of the fries, but the bottom fries were sitting in a cheese liquid. FAMOUS CHICKEN & WAFFLES2 piece dark with buttermilk waffles and lemon pepper sauce $17.00.  The waffles were pretty good, a little bit on the thin but crispy side.  There was a hint of vanilla which made it interesting.  It was served with 2 containers of maple syrup and 1 of drawn butter.  I did not get any lemon pepper sauce.  The chicken was awesome... nice thin seasoned batter.  Crispy, juicy and fresh hot from the fryer.  Definitely a winner. Bottomless soda, ice tea, lemonade, Arnold Palmer $4.00... but did not check back to see if I wanted a refill. Value:  A little expense for 2 pieces of good chicken. Restroom: 2 unisex restrooms.  Pretty spacious.  Floors were wet by the window and there was trash by the door.  The sink was large.  Soap and Paper Towels were full.    Will I come back?: I would probably not go back...NOTE: they add an 18% Gratuity to all bills regardless of party size.

The food is really good- chicken is flavorful (need some new oil, but I don't mind that too much). The waffle was normal- nothing special, but still good because of the whipped butter and sticky syrup. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, but I ordered the lemon pepper sauce (on the side) since they said they make it in house. It was 98% butter . It was nearly flavorless. The chicken was far better without the sauce. I also ordered the $15 "Royal Treatment Mac N Cheese" and it was the best thing I had. It's expensive for some Mac, but the cheese pull was awesome. The flavor was fantastic. You could actually taste the herbs on top and the different cheeses within. The noodles were not chewy or mushy- they were just right and the whole thing was baked in a mini-cast iron pan, so it had a delightful cheese crust over the top. Definitely a gem. It isn't hidden, so don't get mad if they run out of something. Give them some grace. Give them a shot- you will be pleased.

First time here and it was pretty cool. The dj was everything! We had a big party of about 16 ppl. Our waiter was excellent...I think his name was either Malik or Mekhi. I had the chicken and pecan waffle which the waffle was amazing. Not too fond of big wings so I really didn't eat it. Next time I'll try the chicken tenders. Atmosphere 8/10 Food 7/10 Service 10/10 Definitely will be back to try the catfish which looked pretty good.

When I walked in, the restaurant was busy, and it was obvious they had a lot of orders to handle. Even with all that was going on, Sydney greeted me with a warm smile, made eye contact, asked how my day was going, and made me feel like a valued customer. She was friendly, engaging, and never seemed overwhelmed despite leading the team and keeping everything running smoothly. That's the kind of customer service that leaves a lasting impression. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I can definitely see why this place stays busy. Great food is one thing, but outstanding employees like Sydney are what keep people coming back. Keep up the great work!

Nasty. Food. I visited this location 2 times...on July 20th…read more2026..and July 27 2026...after co workers ask me to try out their food...my purchase was their meatloaf dinner, with the sides of rice...yams...macaroni and cheese....i purchased a slice of sweet potato pie...1st visit the place wasn't crowed and close to closing...the meatloaf was basic no seasoning very bland..the red sauce on the meatloaf tasted as if they simply added bbq sauce..their rice was very dry....the yams were ok. The sweet potato pie, was flavorless. It tasted like a bland custard. July 27th visit..tried the meatloaf again. It was horrible. The mashed potatoes tasted sour, they ran out of cornbread so I asked for some white bread, the server, gave me a crazed look and said..I will see what I can do...the sweet potatoes were bland, and very little...i purchased a piece of white layered cake , with orange colored icing...the cake was definitely stale, and cold from constant refrigeration, which is to simply hide the staleness....i will never ever eat at another big daddy,s restaurant again...the cashier, before she ran up my purchase, asked me if I don't mind reading and answering a question displayed on the cash register monitor screen...that question was how much would you like to Tip.....not did you find everything ok...is there anything thing else I can do for you.. No simply how much do you want to tip.. Avoid this old national location at all Cost. The food is simply repulsive....and yes I gave a tip of 4.00 dollars to the cashier. And $10.00 dollars to the older cute waitress, who was so rude. She didn't say even thankyou..Avoid at all Cost. I recall around 2017..bid daddy had a restaurant location downtown, near the courthouse...i and my co workers went to try his food. I ordered spaghetti and to my surprise they put bbq sauce in their spaghetti.....all these years and their food and service is still on the bottom I

We parked behind the building and a woman who worked there had the door open. She had on a shirt that read Legalize being Black. My husband had on a Black Lives Matter shirt, & I had on a Juneteenth shirt. She smiled and raised her fist at us as we asked to enter through the door and we responded in kind. I love us! She toke U.S. to grab a menu as we walked in to the right of the bar. We found a high top and found what we wanted and went to the counter to order. The prices are reasonable until you get to adding the sides. I overheard another worker tell a couple who ordered after us to order the veggie plate if they were getting 4 sides as it was cheaper. I wish the person who took our order had told use that. The entrees are à la carte and priced reasonably. The sides are $5 each with a few exceptions, a hoecake is $2 and mac & cheese and a couple other sides are $6. Keep that in mind when you come. Our total for our inside dining with a can of ginger ale, fountain Diet Coke, & tip was like $70+ & the to go order for our son's meal w/o a drink was ~$30. It's definitely a good value if you only need an entree and have sides already. The food is good and has large pieces of meat & decent portions so there you go... I ordered the fried green tomatoes as a starter, smoked beef brisket with the barbecue sauce on the side, smoked turkey cabbage, dressing, & the lemon pound cake. Ironically, the fried green tomatoes came out last. They were piping hot though. They could've used a dash of salt but that cornmeal batter was perfection on the tomatoes. You get 3 and 1 was cut a little too thick and it was slightly mushy maybe cause it had to cook longer? But it was still good. The beef brisket was good. It's sliced thin and had that good smoke flavor and was seasoned well. The thicker slices could've been a bit more tender but overall it could rival some barbecue joints. The dressing was good and so was the cabbage, though it was almost tad bit saltier than I'd like. I'd order everything I had again. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed my food. You know not everyone who claims to cook southern food can do so. Oh the pound cake was good and moist. It reminds me of Sammy Chhesecake pound cake. My husband ordered the 3 pieces of fried chicken, collard greens & they do have a lil kick as the menu suggests, green beans, & yellow rice. He was pleasantly surprised with how big the pieces of chicken were. Nowadays people give you what looks like pigeon parts ‍. He said it was a tad salty. He said he also enjoyed his meal otherwise. I forgot to get pictures of the food for our son's takeout order of fried pork chops, collard greens, mac & cheese, & a hoecake. He liked his food as well but also said his pork chops, which were nice size center cut, were well seasoned, but a little too much. He enjoyed the meal and his 1st hoecake. They also do catering and seemed to have a large catering order being prepared to go out. The restaurant & woman's restroom was clean. The staff were friendly and quickly acknowledged us. The music was good but it would've been good to hear a mix of old school with the hip hop since it was Juneteenth. They have a full bar. The only thing I didn't like was Fox News & another conservative news channel on; at least not on JuneteenthZ a generic movie or TV show would've been better for me anyway. They had a steady stream of to go orders and in person dining. I guess we're just late to know about
