I moved here 2 years ago and just discovered this donut shop to get my handsome boyfriend a sweet pick me up. Awesome this place is within walking distance from my house but also dangerous because these donuts are pretty amazing. So fluffy and big. My boyfriends favorite is a maple bar and he said it was Amazing. We love a good Apple fritter and they did not disappoint. It was a pretty close runner up to our all time favorite Apple Hill fritter but this will suffice when Apple Hill is closed for the season. Best part is this place is so close and I can walk!! Randomly pulled up here with my husband before he went to work and omgggg. Soooo good! Listen I feel like I have been eating crappy donuts from Winchell's in LA and have been avoiding donuts since then. So when we pulled up I already had the mind set of like ughhh why I don't even wanna see any donuts. Second time here and decided it's time to review. I had to snap a pic before they disappeared! Fresh and delicious Johnny's is now our go to donut shop. Nice assortment with some classics and some fun flavors. You can tell it's a fresh donut because there is not an "old oil" taste left after eating that you get when the shop doesn't replace the frying oil often enough. I'm not sure they even use buttermilk but whatever it is they're doing, they're doing right. They're not dry and even stay moist the next day. i have been going to johnny's donuts since high school and i havent been in a couple of years due to college. i realized i have not written a review for them yet and my mom was craving johnny's donuts. what better time than to bring home a dozen donuts and try them with my family! we have always loved their donuts but i had a couple of new favorites that i wanted to share. we picked up 6 glazed donuts, 2 chocolate glaze, 1 apple fritter, 2 crumb cake donuts, and 1 blueberry donut. the total for this was $15.50 since the apple fritter costs more (it is HUGE, probably the size of 3 cake donuts) if you get normal donuts that are priced at $1.25, the dozen would cost $12.50. glaze donut: this is a classic! super light, not super sweet, and definitely fluffy. as you can tell, a donut shop is not a donut shop without a good yeasted glazed donut. there is no complaints about it, plus they are much larger than krispy kreme donuts! chocolate glaze: this is my mom's favorite. she loves their glaze and it is not super sweet paired with the yeasted donut. blueberry cake donut: i am usually a big fan of cake donuts and johnny's has a lighter cake donut than most places. it is less dense and falls apart quite easily (not a bad thing!) the blueberry flavor is faint, but you can taste some pieces in the dough. i do like krispy kreme's blueberry cake donut more, but it is a lot sweeter! crumb cake donut: this was my least favorite of the ones we had. i usually like a really coated crumb cake donut, and i felt like there was not enough cinnamon sugar on this one. it was still super delicious and light for a cake donut! apple fritter: i would 10000x get this again! i have yet to try an apple fritter that beats johnny's donuts. it has a nice crunch on the outside, REAL apple pieces on the inside instead of apple jam which makes it wet, and a soft/fluffy interior. this meets every criteria for me in an apple fritter. also not to mention, i cut this into 4 pieces and it was still super large! it is the size of 3 cake donuts! i would HIGHLY recommend you come here and support your local business. i came at around 11 am and they still had a lot of leftover donuts. the take card and cash. if you are craving donuts, this is the place to visit! read more

I only have one deal whenever I want to treat myself to donuts, and that's making sure I run at least a few miles to feel guilt free LOL. These donuts are GOOD. I've been to this shop a few times now. Every visit the donuts have been simply delightful. They're light and fluffy and have a wonderful texture. They're never too greasy or heavy and you don't feel terrible after eating one (or two). Every time we've visited the donuts have been super fresh! This is definitely my family's new weekend tradition. The maple bars and pumpkin cake donuts are my absolute favorites. They're currently allowing only one customer inside the shop at a time and have markers on the sidewalk outside for social distancing. Get there early because their crullers and donut holes sell out fast. Ask them to fill a glazed donut with cream. It is amazing!! They don't sell Boston Cream Pies but can make an adhoc one.
