If you love Italian Beef Chicago style, double dipped on request with hot giardinare & cheese with crispy, crinkle cut fries.....this is one of my favorites. No need to drive to Chicago with Johnnie's right down the street. My hubby loves the gyros & when I want to mix it up, I'll order the combo beef & sausage. Their food is always served hot & service is spot on. They might not be quite as fast as a drive through, but oh so worth it when it comes to flavor & quality. The place is always clean & the owner is usually around to make sure his place is running smoothly, orders come out perfect & his customers are happy. Glad I found this place & even more happy it's so close to home!!! read more

Terrible, awful customer service. Service is not top of mine from the owner to the workers. Not interested in correcting mistakes and the customer is never right to this owner. I will never go there again and would not recommend this restaurant if you want good customer service. read more

I was shocked at how good there cheeseburgers are. Be prepared to wait a few minutes as they cook them fresh but the double cheeseburger is huge with great flavor. Their beef sandwich is very good as well. read more

Bad experience second time in a row. Order was missing items. Just saying sorry every time is not enough. The least you could have done was to offer to either deliver the full order or give the complete item next time on the house. Disappointing. There goes a steady customer. read more

I always drive past this place and was at Discount Tire and waiting for my car so I figured I'd check it out. Seemed relatively busy when I arrived which I will attribute the not so clean dining area to. When it slowed down a bit one of the girls came out and cleaned up a bit and even apologized for the mess. I only had a hot dog and fries and it was pretty standard. They have crinkle cut fries which I am not a huge fan of but that's my own problem.....in any case I think this place is good for an easy meal but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

Great Place Great Prices- The fries are top 3 in the Chicago Region and the portions are more than fair- Love the Gyro Sandwich- Had to eat it with a fork ! Like another reviewer I was disappointed when they first opened but tried again recently and am very happy I did. Their hot dog/fries/drink special for $4.99 is a great deal. The plain hot dog is very tasty. Occasionally I'll substitute the fries for their amazing onion rings but be prepared-they are very greasy and is a very big order (3 people easily). They have Pepsi products (yeah!). I was disappointed in their beef sandwich because it was sliced too thick and very spiced but my sister loved it. I now go whenever I want a good deal good hot dog. read more

Hey I was pretty hungry and this did the trick for me for 6 bucks and some change I got 2 filling hot dogs and fries and a drink and was completely stuffed. The service was quick and I was in and out. The woman ringing me out was also very nice and polite even if she was just doing her job and not entirely genuine. I have no complaints and would recommend for a decent hotdog or two. read more

Quality of food is very poor and they are over priced. Burger was over done and very thin for the price. My kids had chicken tenders and those had a fish flavor from being cooked in the same oil. The soda cost more then the chicken tenders, crazy! I would suggest eating elsewhere. read more

Theree food is always fresh and hot and the employees are always friendly. My mom is a regular there and sometimes the new people get her order wrong. Because she always gets a deep fried polish and they assume she means an Italian sausage. But lately the orders have been correct i still go back because the food is great read more

Amazing chicken gyro! So glad we popped in and checked this hidden gem! Fantastic customer service. Nice seating area as well. Will definitely be going here more. Update. We had a party of 20 4/30/17 and catered from our favorite local Johnnys Red Hots in Naperville and the food was delicious. We ordered chicken parm, Tri-colored pasta salad and Caesar salad. Wow! Used to live around the corner from Johnny's location and now live in Joliet. I have stopped 6 or 7 times to have lunch and the food is fantastic. Love the fact that I can get a pepper and egg sandwich any day of the week and not just Friday. Have tried other food there and it is just as good. I stop at least 1-2x a week and my husband can stop and get us dinner on his way home from work. Definite thumbs up!! read more

I was a Johnny's Red Hots fan, but the last few times i have been there they have been slacking. I don't know if they are getting cocky? Twice two different occasions i received hot dogs that were smashed and only had one hot pepper no tomato and a little onion and a pickle. The other time i received a hot dog with just tomato. If i was at the place i defiantly would have said something. Another time i ordered a beef with hot pepper mix and it was all smashed with a few peppers smashed at the bottom. One positive is they finally upgraded there cups. If they keep slacking i wont go here anymore. read more

I'm 67, Italian, and been eating Italian beefs since I was 6. I hope I'm reviewing the one on 111th and Rt 59, has a excellent beef, very authentic. The beef was socked in the gravy, just like the old Italian weddings, and the hot gardineria was fresh and very good oil. I'll try the steak sandwich next. Seen a guy mop one up and was looking good. Came around 3:30. Looked at the combos and they looked a bit pricey and I didn't need a drink. Ordered a hot dog and gyros with the fixins. $6.97. Hot dog was probably sittin around since lunchtime. A hot dog vendor in chicago could make a better dog too. Gyro was fine, loaded up with plenty of meat. Overall I might make a this a lunch place if I find something I like on the menu. read more

I have been eating here for a few years now. I really think this place has one of the best Italian beef sandwiches I have ever had. Place is always clean and the owner is very personable. My kids love the fresh cannoli' sand shakes. I can't imagine why anyone here would give this place a bad review. I am happy they are so close to my home. read more

The food is alright. The first time it was very good and that's why I reordered. The problem I have is that the last few times I've ordered they are missing items or it's incorrect. I ordered through eat 24 and it takes about 1 1/2 hours to get your food. So when the order is missing items its frustrating. I will never order from them again. Their food is not worth the wait. read more

horrible. 45 minutes for delivery which is ok, but I get cold food and pay 10 dollars in delivery fee and tip for a 13 dollar order. never again and will never step my foot in their door either. ridiculous in my opinion. read more
