Place was slamming busy but it was still super quick and paid only $40 for a used tire that was damn near new and that was actually with tax and putting it on and everything, this shit show down the road I stopped by wanted 25 PLUS installing it for this bald slick looking tire so for the same price I got a tire that's going to last me well past my next paycheck until I can get a new set. Staff was pretty friendly, the chick up front was cool and the guy who actually did my tire was really quick. Glad I found this place. Oh and something I found different but super cool was the fact that like any kid that came through while I was there was getting a free hot wheels car off this rack they had. I asked why and she said its something the owner likes to do for kids like its not even a promotional thing. They even let me grab one for my cousin, that's pretty cool and I haven't been anywhere that actually cares about the whole family ya know? Very very Unhappy. Was in desperate need of a used tire, for my Mazda. Me and my kid go over to John's garage to get a used tire. They charged him $45. For the tire mount and balance. Two days later driving to Palm Springs I had a flat. Went to the tire store, to have it fixed. To find out that it has a side wall patch and a plug. And that the tire is unsafe, but on the bright side at leastI didn't crash Was wondering like probably anybody else that looks at these reviews, how is it that John's garage is able to have this preview Taken down. I purchased the tires from them what do I need to do show the receipt, I don't have anything against the guy. I just don't want anybody else to have a blow out . Dude these guys seriously rock! I stopped in today for something quick & to give John a lil something to thank them for just being friggen awesome. I go to head out, it's the end of day & the shop is closing up... What happens? My alarm won't stop going off!!! Uuuuugh! With Caleb under the dash & everyone else running around trying other things that normally work we just couldn't get it to turn off now matter which trick we tried, it was crazy ridiculous! Fiiiiiiinally after like a half hour we were able to get it to stop & thankfully my car actually started. I seriously thought my car was going to be spending the weekend there. Very good spot. I went to another shop in town across from autozone that told me I needed 5 different parts replaced just to pass smog and my buddy suggested Johns for my oil change and when I got there the girl that was running the front office told me that they could do their own diagnostics for me. I let them do their testing and they told me that all I needed was an 02 sensor so I let them replace it and once my computer was ready they told me to go to smog and I passed with flying colors. I'm glad I found this place because its hard to find honesty up here in the desert. And even better I didn't spend a bunch of money for no reason. Overheated on our way into town on a Wednesday - everyone in town said they wouldn't be able to get us in till the next Tuesday - the dealership said maybe 3 weeks ! Yikes I'm trying to get home to Oklahoma. J&G was kind enough to work me in Thursday morning - literally at their mercy they were honest and fair - a new thermostat and an oil change and they had us back on the road early the next morning. While waiting in the waiting room I was privy to great customer service listening in on their handling of phone calls and walk in clients - everyone's concern was met with a very professional response. What amazing service we received as we were headed to our next stop in our camping adventure. We had a flat tire and being out of town we only saw big name places quoting high prices and long wait times. Finally came across John's garage and spoke with a wonderful person named Timmy I believe that's how you spell it sorry if that's wrong but she answered and said to bring it in and had us up and back on the road in minutes for a great deal. I pretty much met these guys at the front door this morning before they opened because I had a blow out when turning onto 247 off 62 and cruised right into their parking lot and as my luck has it they sell used tires lol. Real nice girl greeted me at the door and got me in once they got everything open. My tire was done within like 10 minutes and I was back on the road. The tire tech was really nice & gave me key thing back from my wheels and I was on my way. I wasn't even late to work:) I will come back here for sure !! read more

horrible place for the community, I had a flat near John's garage 12/01/23, so I walked in and asked for a used tire, I was told they start at $35 my tire was a 15" tire so I was told $40 but I only had $35, so I ask if they could take $35 cash they asked me to hold for a while to ask the owner after a few minutes the lady with the long gray hair (salty) came out to tell sorry is out last used tire that size and if you don't have $40 there's nothing we can do. horrible place and horrible people! read more

I cannot say enough good things about John's Garage! Timey, at the front is absolutely amazing and her customer service skills are superb. All the mechanics are wonderful, kind and very honest, which can be hard to find. My AC gave out right in the peak of Summer & they got me in and fixed it in no time! Just went back for a thermostat leak & the turnover time for that was also very quick. Both experiences were wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone! Pricing also great! read more

We took our camper van there because the check engine light was on and giving a code for "cylinder 6 misfire" (we were 3 hours away from home and this was the only shop that was able to see us). They checked it out and told us that it needed a new engine. We drove it home and had our regular shop look at it and it's just a valve. They obviously were trying to overcharge us for repairs that didn't need to be done. read more

I was visiting Joshua Tree when my 4runner started to misfire. Took it to Johns to see what was going on. Turns out mice had eaten my injector wires. Since I was visiting Ashley and Maddie got me out in a few hours. They are great, so much knowledge that makes you feel comfortable when you walk in. Went in for tire repair and found out they do synthetic oil changes for 48.00 asked if I could get that done was in and out in less then 45 mins did not try to up sell me stuff I didn't need showed me how dirty my ac filter was got that done too didn't even know I had one cjs customer service was great explained everything and answered all my questions I found my new oil change spot read more

AN ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVER!! A bad run in with a puddle brought us into John's Garage while we were on vacation. They were able to squeeze us in same day and diagnosed that a spark coil shorted out in our 2015 Pilot. They were able to replace it then and there and were INCREDIBLY kind and helpful. After losing a battle with deep sand, I limped into John's Garage to see if they could take off a broken piece of plastic that was dragging on the ground, rubbing against my tire and not at all good for a long drive home.
