Every time it's super affordable and the car leaves driving straight with steering wheel centered. They are a no BS shop who recommend calling up for an appointment. Johnson's alignment isn't a reputable business. I took my car here to get the brakes and rotors done and there was squeaking at first, though I was assured it would go away after about a week. I must emphasize the squeaking was terrible. You could hear it from half a mile away. About a month went by and I took it back here to get it looked at, as the squeaking didn't get any better. I told Steve about the issue and he immediately rolled his eyes and called for John to come over. John was quick to defend himself and his business, saying there was no possible way it was their fault. He blamed it on the brakes, even though they were name brand performance brakes. I asked if they could at least take a look to check if they did something wrong and I was met with an immediate 'NOPE.' I had another mechanic look at them and found out they were installed wrong. The brakes were already pretty messed up by that point. I don't know if they treat all customers this way, though my experience with them was nothing short of horrendous. The car had driven many many miles. It was tired and wobbly - a quick trip to these guys solved the problem and my car is running smooth as silk now! Really- it is a great place, reasonable prices, super nice , honest and helpful folks. It feels a lot like the car places of my youth. Took my Lexus to get the alignment done when my mechanic showed me my steel belts showing on the inside of my front tires. This place was recommended to me by my mechanic as the "best alignment shop in the area." Its tucked away neatly in a mini auto service strip mall right on the SE corner of 190th and Hawthorne. I had a little difficulty finding the shop but a quick call got me there in a matter of minutes!! It took just about 2 hours to get both the front and rear tires aligned, which i thought was a little lengthy but what do I know! Never have I had more trust with mechanics then the Alarcon family and the guys at this establishment. I never feel like anything they are suggesting is just to pad a price. My family has been dealing with Johnson's forever and I took my car there for an alignment. I had gone to do a pre-purchase inspection with another mechanic and the car needed a teeny bit of work. At the other mechanics location I was quoted $3k for one side of the car to replace the control arms. Of course that hurt my heart but I don't give up on my cars. I went over to Johnson's and they told me what I already knew. Thing is, they did the alignment and purchased Lexus parts (both sides) for under $1k and didn't take all day. I picked the car up and on my way home, I noticed it was pulling to the right and I drove it back. Unfortunately it was one minute before they closed. They took the car, rotated the tires, explained the placement of the tires because of the different tread depths and after that fix the car was as good as gold (to me). John helped me out and took time to answer my questions even though I'm sure he wanted to go home. The owner is very precautious because of the COVID, and rightfully so. He did come off a little mean because of his tone, but we're all kind of scared. It's not hard to be honest, reasonable, and do your job well. They did all of that. read more

I had well over an inch of steering play on my '84 Mercedes 300D Turbo that I had to have someone else take a look at it but I didn't want to go to any old shop. If I wanted someone to work on it they would have to do it proper. So the Internet brought me to Johnson's Alignment and I was not disappointed. Their customer service alone is something to compliment but the actual work on the car made it all the more worth it. No BS. Straight business. Inspection, quote, work, repair finished. All in less than two hours. That said, the man pulled some rejuvenation juju on the steering. Besides the slowness, now it tracks straight on-center with less than an 1/8 of play, if any. Afterward the man gives me a run down of the work done it, plus a little adjustment to the transmission he felt was needed due to the car's age. I agreed, seeing that it's good to have another set of eyes under my car. (the car has fully adjustable suspension and had three other professional alignment shops claim they had fixed and addressed all issues in the past nine months I have spent nearly $1500 combined on the alignment issues and still no luck... the car was very unbalanced and at high speeds the car felt very wobbly...) Ok I lower my wife car and for some reason no could do a proper alignment. They keep telling me she needs a alignment kit in the front and rear to get the proper alignment correct. Just had my 2004 Porsche in to have the ride height raised, corner balanced and aligned. Work started on the time and was completed as promised. The steering wheel was centered perfectly, love that. The had ballast for my weight, so all I need to do was go to Starbucks for a while. Prior to the work, I went over what i wanted done in detail with Steve, the owner. He had a few additional suggestions that were implemented. Next, a 200 mile drive home. The handling of the car was noticeably improved. Openness in discussing potential problems. No effort to upsell services. Had a slightly bent front suspension and this was initially indicated by steering wheel slightly off center. Was told that car was safe to drive and a regular alignment was required at a minimum so I just got a regular alignment and will try it out for a few months. Fair pricing, quick service, transparent communication left impression in my mind that they were trustworthy. As background info, I bought the car, (2014 Lexus ES 350 from South Bay Lexus in May 31, 2017 as a Certified pre owned with 36,165 miles for $ 27,872 before tax and fee and had 48,774 miles at time of service at Johnson Alignment. Hit a curb pretty hard. Took it to a repair shop after the car was driving terrible and pulling to the right. Had the car on a lift at the shop and they couldn't see any damage. Someone recommended Johnsons alignment. Took the car in, Steve found the problem right away and told me what needed to be fixed. Turns out I broke suspension parts as I hit the curb. I brought the car in on a Wednesday. Had It Fixed by Monday. It was a little pricey, but the car runs great and feels straight as an arrow, so totally worth it. Customer service could be better. I did an alignment on my 2015 Chevy Colorado, they charged me almost half of what the other shops I called quoted me. John helped me and was awesome. During the first rain of the season, I made a simple left hand turn onto an onramp. My 1991 Acura Integra kept traveling right on the uber-slick road, when I turned it left. The poor thing slid right into a curb. It was pulling so hard to the right, I was hoping it was just an alignment issue. I took my car to a Firestone dealer. They ran a 4 wheel alignment at my request, but were unable to tell me what my problem was, and said they "did their best". I went back to my house, and discovered they aligned my wheel with a bent rim. This resulted in a hideous pull to the right. I changed a good wheel with the one that was bent, and asked for a 2 wheel alignment for free. They took 2 hours, and did nothing but hand me my papers back. My business was going elsewhere. I had only heard of Johnson Alignment by word-of-mouth. What I did hear was good. Due to my terrible work schedule, (12 hour days for a month) I was unable to drop the car off myself. I got my car delivered to them, and awaited a phone call. After they started working on my car, I got the call. They gave me a rundown of the damage done, and gave me a list of possible solutions. I told them the repairs, I'd like attempted, and they started right away. Within hours I got the call that they finished, what the results of their repairs were, and that I could pick it up. I picked up my car, followed their directions to get a couple tires replaced and balanced, and now my car flies straight as an arrow. There's still damage, but until I can deal with it, it drives very well. The differences are marked: Firestone: Did a shoddy job, and didn't care about a potential repeat customer. Jonson Alignment: Did a through examination, reported their results to me so I could make an informed decision, and TRULY "did their best". With superior results. It's not usually often you get an alignment, but when you do, get it done by someone that cares about their work. It'll save you alotta headache. Not someone turning their back on me when I'm speaking to them. Okay...I'm finally updating my review. I took my car in to have another independent try to determine why my smooth ride turned so bumpy and they found that the struts were not put back together properly. They said the top of the strut is suppose to fit into a slot which will lock it in. The mechanic at Johnson's alignment did not rotate the strut until it locked into place. They ruined the threads by tightening it down so hard when it wasn't seated properly. It appears that they while my car was with them they've also caused more problems which I'm still trying to figure out what else they butchered. been a customer for a long long time, went to at least 1-2 times a year to align my cars. One day, there was something wrong with my steering racknpinion. The guy spotted it in the beginning and told me that i may need to be replaced sometime since it was showing some wear. I was specifically told that it would not effect the alignment then since it wasn't too bad. Had the car aligned, then one of the boss (forgot his name) came up to me and told me the problem was that the racknpinion would need replacement and if i dont, the alignment would go bad within a week. i told him that his worker told me that it was not a problem, but now he is telling me that it is. So, i was going to take it to a buddies shop to get it replaced, but before i left, he told me to pay in full even after i agreed to bring it back to re-align since you have to after that rack replacement. He told me no discount would be given and that i would have to again, pay full price for the work. This upset me, since a 2 time charge could have been avoided if i was told to replace first than bring it back to get it re-aligned. Never went back ever since the argument and realized how their customer service is also no good. Work was decent, but business ethics sucked! 1 star from me. read more

Took my car to be repaired after an accident. They did the job for a reasonable price but when I asked about the condition of my car John was totally rude and had an attitude. I left there with a sour taste in my mouth. I think part of having a business is not getting the job done but customer service as well. The good news form me is they are able to work on my large SUV, not something all / most places can say.
