If you are filipino, you know Jollibee holds a special place close to our hearts and stomachs. For some first timers, they sometimes don't understand why the food is so good and why it's always packed but this establishment is delicious for us and I think reminds a lot of people of home. It's like comfort food especially for travelers like myself who live in another state that doesn't have a Jollibee so we always make sure to have some anywhere there is one. But tonight, we came here roughly at 9:10pm and wanted to order 2 buckets of chickens and other stuff but was told they're out of chickens. Like wth? Your main item is chicken and you're out of it? I really don't understand how this place is so freaking famous and people love it?! This was the first time I've ever been here and it'll be the last time. When I came here I came with a group of 4 people and we ordered a big 2 meal bucket that had 6 chicken pieces in each bucket, 4 desserts, and 4 sides. The sides sucked pretty much. There wasn't much options! We ended up getting 2 frys and 2 mashed potatoes. The fry's were BORING and the mash was alright. Let me tell you, the chicken is the blandest fried chicken I've ever tried. The way the chicken is made and how it taste is okay! Come on though there is literally no seasoning on the chicken or the batter. Apparently Asian people love bland stuff. I do have to admit that the boba they have is very bombbbb. I've never eaten jolibee's. Yeah, weird and i'm filipina. After viewing the youtube video "Fast Food Chicken Chains Ranked Worst To Best" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z545To6BuHw&t=8s , I decided to try it out. I ordered from doordash at around noon. The chicken was still hot, crispy on the outside and yes, tender and juicy on the inside. There was a large container of maybe 2 cups of brown sauce, but since their chicken was fine without it, I ignored it. (I know filipinos can't eat many things without some sort of sauce, but my tastes are more american than filipino which is why i didn't order their filipino-style spaghetti which I know would have been too sickly sweet for me.) I ordered the Adobe rice expecting meat/veggies in it, but it was only rice which I guess was only seasoned in Adobe sauce, then dried off. It was fragrant of adobe so it went well with the chicken, but really you could do without it. I also bought their pineapple quencher which was a cold light pineapple drink without the usual carbon soda bubbles. (I BUNDLED along a Dr Pepper Big Gulp from 7-11 using doordash just in case I wouldn't like their pineapple drink.) I would definitely buy it again as it's not just a sickly over sweet overly thick juice. Lastly, I ordered a mango-peach turnover. I LOVED it!! The turnover pastry was light crispy and hot like McDonald's used to be, but then had to make the process safer which made their pies not so great.) The filling of the jollibees turnover was sweet, soft, and a real treat along with its pastry. Overall, they score a 5!! I decided to drive thru because there was just one car ahead of me. I pull into the drive thru and there's this homeless guy right next to the intercom talking to himself and making spontaneous sounds. Not only did that make me feel uncomfortable but we waited 5 minutes at the intercom only to be told to wait another 12 minutes at the intercom before she could take our order. That wouldn't have been a problem if the homeless dude wasn't there making me nervous. The manager knew about this issue but didn't have the guts to tell the guy to move as he kept his distance to the homeless man and only said "eY boss..." Let me start by saying that Jollibee used to be my top Filipino go-to fast food since it had opened its first branch in Daly City in the early 90's . Food has been consistently good but this review is for displeasing quality of service . Drive thru transactions have been frequently inaccurate & inconsistent . Orders are wrongly delivered & never provided utensils. Workers should double check orders prior to handing over. It is somewhat frustrating to reach home just to find out that part of the order is either missing or incorrect . Also ,it helps to have someone answer calls for phone orders or for any issues that need to be addressed. Other than that, hope reviews are being read to be helpful to your business . Also, another suggestion is that maybe? some reward points system is established in the future ? Just a little incentive for loyal customers..just a thought. read more

So I got the bucket of chicken and family style of spaghetti with 3 peach mango pies (deducted 1 star because I didn't get the pies). I am kind of bummed about not getting my pies. They have a drive through and when I went, it was pretty packed. They're located in a plaza with other stores and restaurant. Um, 5 stars for many reasons: one, being this is THE FIRST JOLLIBEE to open in the US; North America, for that matter. I still remember how huge of a deal it was when it opened, now their whole store is renovated! So happy to work nearby and have delicious chicken joy again. No other fried chicken compares. To make a long story short. I came in to order a couple of things. I wanted to pay with cash and the rest in card. The worker said my card did not go through which is weird because i heard the transaction go through within my phone, also she was brand new and in training which i understand. So i was double charged. Luckily i called the next day and talked to the manager of this establishment. I explained the situation and She was very nice and offered to refund me the double charge for last night. She even gave me a phone number and info so i can even get in contact with her. She took the initiative to take care of her customer. As a manager in the service industry i can appreciate the extra step she took to help me. "24 hours my ass" definitely suits this place. This is the 2nd time I've come to this location between 4-5am and the drive thru is blocked by a garbage can, with all the lights for the drive thru turned off. How can you have a god damn banner that says OPEN 24 hours by the god damn drive thru and not actually be open! Not once have I had this issue with the branch by Union City. Not only that, if you come to this location late night, expect to have only 1-2 choice on the menu to be available; the chicken and the spaghetti. Whereas I can understand that morning hours is most probably understaffed with lots of tasks at hand, but how hard can it be to make a spam sandwich at 5am? Step 1: Cut dinner roll in half. This 1 star is for the phone number that doesn't no one answers specifically when a costumer trying to order food to be pick up the next day to make sure they have food specially the chickenjoy available. And ones the food where picked up they gave us the wrong item even after the manager or shift supervisor wrote down my order and name on their "chart" to relay the message to the morning staff and even if the receipt was given. Where my jollibee lovers at? Jollypack spaghetti is ALWAYS in MY BAG! haha Chicken Joy + Aloha Burger + Pineapple Float + Mango Peach Pie. I can go on. The food is always awesome. I visited about 2 weeks ago, and went inside the store because the drive through line was about 20 cars deep. There were only 3 people inside the restaurant. They wouldn't let more than 5 people in the restaurant at any given time. You had to wait outside (6 feet distance) until the cashier motioned for you that it was okay to come in. I appreciated the fact that they were able to keep up with the customer demand during this time. Everybody needs them some spaghetti and fried chicken fix once in awhile! And I appreciated that they set tables in front of the ordering counter so we can maintain 6 feet socially distanced at all times. I gotta knock off 2 stars because homie in the front packing the fried chicken had his mask down under his nose ( I know it's uncomfortable buddy, all of us are uncomfortable in these masks), and get this...
