Since I was a kid, I've been coming to the flagship location of Jollibee USA. (Yes, this is the first and original location of Jollibee in the US). Tonight, my mom and I came here on an early Saturday evening. Through the years, it can get busy especially during the weekend. We ordered two Jolly Spaghetti with 1 piece of Chickenjoy. The ambiance at this location has frequently changed over the past few decades. Since 2021, they now have red table booths and smaller tables with white chairs. Despite the busyness of the crew, we received our orders in less than 5 minutes. As always, the Chickenjoy was truly tender, crispy-licious and juicy-licious. This time, the Jolly Spaghetti had generous portions of sweet Filipino Spaghetti sauce and pasta. The Spaghetti with 1 piece of Chickenjoy comes with either a leg or thigh (they also have an option for 2 pieces of Chickenjoy if you have a bigger appetite.) The packaging was simplified (probably due to cost-cutting measures), but I like that they provide compostable utensils. I just hope that Jollibee Daly City will eventually provide separate bins for recycling and composting. Jollibee Daly City is a must-stop for all fried chicken fans and Jollibee stans. 12/05 I placed an online order for pick-up at 6:55 PM and arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 PM. The place was packed--so crowded that I couldn't even get to the pick-up counter right away. After waiting a bit just to speak with someone, I found out that my order hadn't even been started, and it was already 7:15 PM. I continued waiting, and by around 7:25 PM, it looked like the chicken was finally ready. But then staff started asking customers if they wanted to wait for gravy or take ketchup instead because the gravy wasn't prepared. I was also asked, and when I asked how long it would take, they told me another 10 minutes. By the time I finally received my full order, it was already 7:50 PM--I had waited almost an entire hour for something that was supposed to be ready at 6:55 PM. What makes this even more frustrating is that there seemed to be plenty of staff: at least eight people in the kitchen, five at the front counter, plus extra staff handling drive-thru. With that many employees, it's shocking that orders are still this delayed, the kitchen is this disorganized, and something as basic as gravy is being made last-minute, forcing customers to choose between waiting extra or going without. If the restaurant can't keep up with in-store customers, online pick-ups, and drive-thru orders all at once, then they should seriously consider temporarily shutting down the drive-thru or online pick-up until they can manage operations properly. It would help maintain the quality of the food and protect their reputation--because right now, the experience is extremely disappointing. read more

The food at Jolliebee is overpriced but that doesn't mean the food doesn't taste good. I just wish it was a little more affordable. I really enjoyed the Aloha Yum Burger which is a double patty cheeseburger layered with a slice of pineapple, their aloha dressing, lettuce, and bacon. I got a side of palabok which is a Filipino noodle dish. Very tasty! My boyfriend also got the Jolly Spaghetti which has a sweet spaghetti sauce that has chopped hot dogs and ground meat. My son brought home a good report card so we took a drive out to Daly City to go to Jollibee. We had the 6 piece ( mixed spicy and regular) chicken joy meal (5/5) which came with two drinks (pineapple quencher 5/5) and two sides (mashed potato and gravy 5/5) and a peach mango pie (5/5). While the staff could be a little quicker cleaning the table tops, it's hard to question how the food is. I also love how they give you gravy to dip your chicken in. My son and I think they have the best fast food fried chicken in the Bay Area. We would love if they started a franchise in San Mateo. We love Jollibee! read more

Jollibee is a restaurant chain from The Philippines that's quite good. While I'll always use KFC as my fried chicken standard, Jollibee's chicken is definitely crispy and juicy. This particular restaurant is a standalone version complete with dining area and drive-thru. The seating inside is like any fast food joint ... nothing special to write home about there. The service was very fast, though I got the feeling I had to have some kind of insider knowledge as I started speaking to the counter person (like knowing exactly what to order at Starbucks in Starbuckian). We went to this Jollibee's at 6:00 PM, on 9/29/2024. I have no complaints about the food, it was actually very good. But the service was horrible!! The young man that was working the cash register was being very rude towards customers. There was an elderly Filipino man ordered, trying to order some food, and he was being so rude to him. And then when I was up to order, and I tried to place my order, he was very unprofessional with me. I was trying to upgrade my sides to premium sides and I wasn't trying to get a deal, but I was just trying to ask if I could upgrade them and he was very unprofessional and unhelpful. He might need to undergo some more training on how to work with customers. I understand it was rush-hour, but everybody else behind the counter was polite and trying to help. Maybe this kid was Having a bad day I don't know if he was having a bad day or just upset that he works at Jollibee's. But a person like that shouldn't be working the cashier and working with customers if he does not how to maintain good tact and professionalism. Merchant will say yelp/grubhub will return your money. But never say you have 48hrs to retrieve the refund. When I contacted grubhub 52 hours later, they told me you're SOL, you are passed the 48hrs to obtain your refund so we won't and will not refund your money. I wasn't the only person in line with this incident. Hope they speak out as well. I am actually pleased with Jollibee considering it is fast Filipino food, but it does have its flaws too of course, however, nothing to prevent me from coming back!! They just came out with a new item on the menu -- Ube Pie's and I am OBSESSED. Perfect crunchy crust and smooth Halaya Ube-like paste inside the pie. It is not to sweet compared to their other pies like the peach mango pie which is way too sweet and overwhelming. My favorite on the menu would have to be the infamous spaghetti. Personally, I'm a big fan of spicy food so this is what I opted for. You can get the chicken in meal combos that come with rice and lumpier, which is such a Filipino combination, which I won't complain about. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The sides that came with it complemented it well and I enjoyed the meal. Their Halo-Halo is something I think could have been improved. The ice used was crushed, rather than shaved ice. It did not have the ideal consistency I expect from this dessert dish. Overall, decent amount of seating, food takes a while to be brought out, long lines, and ample parking.
