Pro tip, the chicken was still crunchy and tasty straight outta the fridge the next day. You would have to reheat it if leftover for 2 days or more. The spicy fried chicken was legit spicy and super flavorful. The peach mango pie was only ok. I heard that the Filipino style spaghetti is very sweet so I opted out. I checked out Jolibee at the Times Square location. I've been there once but was excited to eat there again. It's pretty crowded given the location but worth the wait. I got the food pretty quickly despite how many people were there. I liked looking around and seeing the mascot and it's spacious. First time trying Jollibee. Way better than KFC. Juicy and crispy, the seasoning is bland compared to KFC and Popeyes, making me enjoy it even more. I visited the store today for a order in store to go, order 07/24/24 order 20170. When getting back to our hotel 2 of our meals were wrong. I called the location and they were very challenged on listening to what the error was . We wanted 2 orders with 2 thighs. Only one was listed on receipt . I spoke to someone and then later to a manager named Isia. They apologized for the inconvenience after I had to explain this over 20 times . When a location opened up in the city, I was so excited!! Every time I come to this location, there is always a line to the door. During the week, weekends, doesn't matter! Location is super slow. We waited for nearly an hour on a semi short line to be able to order. They were out of alot of items too. The menu is super limited at this location already. While the chicken is good, the service is too slow to justify waiting for as along as we did, we missed 2 trains home waiting. The space is limited as well, that you'll be lucky to even have a place to sit once you get your order. They are terribly understaffed for the location. You have one main person trying to prepare all the orders and train an untrained staff, then you have low inventory of supplies. It's a mess. If you know the Jollibee standard, or have been to a location in the Philippines, or any other around the world, don't expect to find the quality or standard to meet that expectation sadly. While on a trip to the city on this lovely day, my mom and I decided to check out the Times Square Jollibee. My Double Cheeseburger hit the spot - the bun was soft, the cheese was nicely melted, and the pickle contrasted this well with its crunch. My mom was looking forward to ordering Palabok (white noodles with seafood sauce, ground pork, scallions, and egg), but alas, that's not on the menu at this location. That said, she felt that there wasn't much selection here, but from what I did try (a few pieces of mom's spicy chicken wings and mashed potatoes, as well as my cheeseburger), the quality was there. *Thumbs up* The pineapple quencher was oh so refreshing! There's a decent amount of seating, albeit in somewhat tight quarters (remember, this is Manhattan during peak lunch hours). So...you'll likely have to wait a bit for others to finish up and leave their tables, or make your meal to-go. It's not my favorite Jollibee I've been to, but I may come here again just because it's in one of my favorite places and I love to support my peeps (what, a New Yorker who isn't sick of Times Square!? - you got that right!). read more

Jollibee is such a nostalgic childhood treat for me and I've always enjoyed the consistency in their food. However, this location is simply a mess with their service and our visit was just stressful. We came at 11pm on a Saturday night and it was still pretty busy. It's a small, narrow location with not a lot of seating area for customers for the amount of people that they seem to service. When I placed the order, I was given a receipt and a buzzer. We waited for our food right in front of the counter and watched as people from behind us on the line picked up their orders one by one. We assumed it's because we had a larger order that it would take a longer time (12-piece bucket, jolly spaghetti and pineapple refresher). However, after 20 minutes and still no update on our order, we finally went up to the counter and asked about the status of our order. It turns out, our order was sitting there the whole time and no one bothered to call out our ticket number or ring our buzzer! The miscommunication and disorganization in the service was just unbelievable - that they would let an order sit there for so long and not bother to call out the number. As frustrating as that experience was, it was even more upsetting how the "security guard" who was monitoring the bathroom line gave us an attitude for being upset that our order took so long. It was incredibly unprofessional behavior that glossed over what was their own service mistake. There was no attempt on their end to rectify the issue, just a meager "I'm sorry the order is right here". We left the location upset but finally relieved to have our food. Unsurprisingly, because the order was sitting there for so long our food was cold, chicken not crispy and missing the extra sriracha sauces that they had charged me extra for! Although the seating is still somewhat limited mainly due to the location. There was a short line when I got in at 5 pm but I was at the counter in about 15 minutes. I recently visited the Jollibee on 42nd Street and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. I ordered a simple 2-piece combo, which typically includes two small sides. The 2 sides I wanted was mash potato & steam rice. He started asking if I wanted a large mashed potato, which left me baffled. I had to clarify that I wanted the standard small sides included in the meal--why would I need a large side, especially as a single customer ordering a basic meal? He even replied they have 2 sizes small or large. Honestly Is this person for real... He must have been dropped on his head alot when he was baby. It honestly felt like the employee was trying to upsell without understanding my order. For a place like Jollibee, where orders are supposed to be straightforward, this should not happen. If the staff member wasn't trained well enough to handle basic requests, perhaps they should reconsider their position or get additional training to serve customers more effectively. Overall, I expected better from this location. A bit of improvement in customer service would go a long way. Also the wait here is horrible, regardless if they are busy or not. I went there yesterday with a friend. My friend wasn't pleased with the service and the food. He complained that the food took too long and that he had to pay $3 for an extra serving of ranch dressing. As for me, they didn't give me my full order, got my drink wrong, and the food wasn't all that tasty. The chicken here is great! Five stars for the spicy chicken and four stars for the original. I think they need to season the original chicken just a tab but more. I guess that's what the side of gravy was for because it did help to add flavor. I also think that other fast food chicken spots need to pay attention. This is how chicken is supposed to be. Crispy, juicy, and scrumptious. The pie I picked up wasn't so bad either. For the place being packed, I have to say the service was pretty fast. While there's always a line when you first walk-in (unless you get there on the super early side, say around 5:15pm on a weeknight), it does move pretty quickly and both times I went, I was lucky enough to get seats after ordering food. I've tried both flavors of the chicken, but admittedly the spicy version is the best (imo). The spaghetti also reminded me of my childhood in Singapore, because that's how I ate it, growing up. But the second time I went, I got the adobo rice and I could NOT stop eating it and I drowned it in that yummy gravy too. The pineapple juice is sweet (but I love it) -- just know that sometimes they have to give the machine time to refill and you might have to wait for it to be ready. But, let's just take a minute to talk about the peach and mango pie. It's like an McD's apple pie, but 1,000 times better. I swear it's the reason I keep coming back lol. Very overwhelming options but I got the chicken joy bucket treats for $32.99 which comes with 6 PC chicken (I got spicy), 3 pies, and spaghetti. For the amount of food I got it was SO WORTH. The chicken is absolutely delicious, tender, juicy, and well seasoned on its own. It comes with a small pint of gravy that's a bit thinner than your Thanksgiving gravy but pairs with the fried chicken beautifully. We got the spicy chicken and I did not think it had an ounce of spicy in it. The spaghetti looked questionable and doubtful. In our minds we found it fascinating jolinee sold pasta for a chicken shop. It was DECLIOUS. I don't even like red sauce but it was on the slightly sweeter side and a bit tangy. It's got sausage pieces too and ground meat. I love it! I highly reco.mend trying. The pies I'd pass next time. It's sweet center and crispy fried outside. The peach Mango is sweeter than banana. It reminds me of McDonald's apple pies and it's not for me. This location is busy, got some seating in the back, and had a security up front when I visited.
