I'm not sure what happened between when they first opened at Ontario Mills and today. Back then, the staff used to be so warm and friendly and eager to make conversation. Today, they were not. Perhaps it was the fatigue from having to serve hordes of people on a weekend? Or was it just their social battery running on empty? I noticed that as I'd ask questions, they wouldn't even bother to face me to give me answers. They constantly kept their backs turned as they wiped down counters and checked on the kitchen. I guess they were tired. I hope they aren't overworked. And I hope management is treating them well. Without any announcement whatsoever, this branch discontinued the peach mango pie giveaway that you get for completing their surveys. West Covina Jollibee still honors it. That's understandable, but you've been warned...don't get disappointed. The food is still excellent. The chicken, the sandwiches, the palabok, the pies - all still a family favorite. The food was still at the perfect temperature after we got home. Delicious food that just reminds you of the old country. every time we walk to Ontario Mills, we always tend to eat at Jollibee and this time I ordered the two chicken Joy and spaghetti and it was OK. I wish they could add a little more sauce. The chicken itself was crispy, which was not too bad. What a huge disappointment. I've let social media overhype Jollibee. Appreciative to have tried it, as I understand locations are limited, but it's not a venue I'm apt to have to revisit. This location is inside the Ontario Mills Mall, near Marshalls/ Lollicup entrance. It's a couple hours drive from me, so to learn this location did not even have the entire menu available to try, made the visit more disappointing. If you do want to try more of the menu, opt to go a few miles further to Rancho Cucamonga. Had I known prior, I'd have driven just a few miles further. The fried chicken was nothing exceptionally different in my opinion. Size was definitely noticeably bigger, and FYI they only serve legs and thighs for fried chicken pieces. First time coming to a Jollibee, and yes, the hype is real people. First off this location is inside the Ontario Mills Mall. Stopped by around 1130am, no line, and ordered me a 2 piece spicy chicken meal, which came with a biscuit, and i got the side of spaghetti, and mango peach pie for dessert. The chicken was nicely spiced, hot and juicy. Really good. Biscuit was flaky and hot, and spaghetti with its sweet/savory sauce and hot dog pieces was actually really good. I really enjoyed this meal. The pie was really good. Wished it had some more chunks of fruit though, otherwise, very good. Spent around $17 bucks on this meal, with a drink. read more

So I've heard for years about how good this chicken is so while out here on business we wanted to give it a try. This location is located in a sizable mall called Ontario Mills Mall. First time we walk in there's tons of chicken under heat lamps. I try to order and the worker tells me that it'll be a 30 min wait. I ask why when I'm clearly looking at chicken under the heat lamps behind the guy. He tells us that it's for the customers who've already ordered and their in the process of fulfilling orders ahead. We leave dejected and explore the mall instead as opposed to sitting in the SMALL shop waiting for 30 mins or more. On our way to explore a Hispanic lady flies past us through the mall with I kid you not, about 5 family sized buckets of chicken and sides! After about an hour exploring the mall we swing back around. I guess the staff got caught up with orders as we were able to order no problem at all. We got a three piece SPICY meal with two sides and a drink and it was close to $23. That's like Willie Maes Scotch house prices! California or not, inflation or not, that's high for a three piece chicken dinner! We get the food and it CANNOT BE COMPARED to any fast food chicken we've ever tasted. WE WERE FLOORED. It's not comparable to Willie Maes, Church's, Lees Famous Recipe, KFC, Popeyes, Canes etc. This chicken was hot, crispy, moist, and spicy SEASONED not only on the outside but down to the bone as well. Every bite you could see the marinade and seasoning like they not only marinated but flavor injected it to the bone as well. It was AMAZING BIRD. The gravy was tasty and succulent. The biscuit was nice and fluffy and buttermilk tasting. The ADOBO rice had big pieces of chicken in it and was firm, not soggy or starchy but immaculately seasoned. The spaghetti was unique as it was like a savory sweet with pieces of hot dogs in it. The misses didn't care for it but I found it unique and delightful and it tasted fine. 5 stars for the food and not 5 overall but a 4 for this reason: Whoever decided to put a Jollibees in this mall miscalculated the popularity of it. Folks come in there ordering WHOLE BUCKETS AFTER BUCKETS AFTER BUCKETS of chicken. Folks that want a small meal like us are kinda shit outta luck given the volume they're trying to compensate for with the mega orders juxtaposed to smaller orders. There are lines out the door in waves depending on foot traffic. We were lucky to not hit a heavy wave our second time around when we ordered. In addition it's small, hot, stuffy, and crowded in there and there is little to no seating. They've got a whole table partitioned off FOR EMPLOYEES ONLY I guess to take lunch breaks. Isn't that kinda weird? Shouldn't it be in the back somewhere? Also the restrooms are not readily accessible and dirty. I had to walk out the establishment and walk pretty far to find a restroom just to wash my hands. The majority of the tables inside or like community tables so while your trying to eat your meal in peace with your family you could literally be sitting should to shoulder or immediately across from you a total stranger trying to eat as well. We were lucky enough to get a both and not be bothered. It's a customer service SHIT SHOW in there. If you do go I recommend you exercise PATIENCE and GET IT TO GO. I have been to this location a few times and I have always had a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and provides suggestions when asked and the food has always come out very quickly. The food has always been great. At this point, I think I have tried the entire menu and though some items aren't my favorite, they were all good. My favorites are the fried chicken (regular and spicy) along with the Peach Mango Pie. The Palabok Fiesta is pretty good coming from a fast food place, but the spaghetti may not be to everyone's taste because it is on the sweeter side. The place is always pretty clean, other than when you have to take a table right after another group has finished (because it has always been full when I have been there), but that is to be expected anywhere. New fast food option at Ontario Mills! Yeah I know, there's a closer Jollibee near me but the person I was with really wanted to have some cuz this is the one closest to him! It was a Sunday late afternoon and there was a line outside the restaurant, but the wait, ordering, and getting our order didn't take any longer than 15 minutes. The artwork on the walls are really cute! I liked seeing Jollibee in different countries, especially in Vietnam, since I am a Vietnamemes. Service was efficient and clean. I thought it was super cute that the spicy Chicken Joys had little flags saying that they were spicy. Fountain drink options were normal and we were lucky enough to get seating since it was pretty packed (but I'm sure you can just order to go and take your food to the food court and try to find seating there). Despite being so crowded there was staff constantly cleaning the tables and seats, so it never got messy, EVER. I think I had the table cleaned twice after it was initially cleaned before we even picked up our food, lol. That's great attention to hygiene! We got the: 1) 2 Piece Spicy Chicken Joy Combo with Palabok Fiesta: -This came with a fountain drink! -The spicy chicken joy actually had a decent kick to it! When they say spicy it actually is, unlike American fast food where it's just...okay haha -The chicken had super crispy crackling skin and the meat was moist and yummy. mmmm sarap as they say haha -I've never had palabok before. It reminds me of a glass vermicelli-esque noodle and it had garlic sauce with peanuts, ground pork, sliced boiled egg, and some shrimp. Pretty good! Especially with some lemon juice on top. 2) Big Yum Burger: -Although it looks small circumference-wise it's very big vertically !! -Can never go wrong with one of these and the sauce was creamy and slightly sour in a good salad dressing kinda way. -Lettuce and tomato were fresh and I was told that the burger was very Mos Burger-like (a Japanese chain that I want to try one day). -I'd be able to down a couple these to be quite honest. 3) Peach Mango Pie: -Even after eating all of our entree foods, this was still very warm and crispy! -Nothing like a sweet, crispy on the outside, warm, sweet, and gooey on the inside dessert after a good meal. -The fruit inside wasn't too tart, but didn't taste artificial either. First off, I love Jolibee. The chicken flavor is always the best and I am always looking forward to eating Jolibee. Now, this was my first time at this branch, but we were heavily disappointed by the service and wait. We came after lunch rush hour at around 4:30pm, ordered a 10 piece chicken meal , half spicy half regular, & a burger steak meal on the side. We waited 30+ minutes and watched as many other parties after us would get their food. We watched and overheard a party beside us complaining about the wait and even they were able to go up first to get their order before us. We finally decided to go up and ask about our order status. The cashier says "Oh, we ran out of the spicy chicken that's why, but your order will be ready in 3 minutes." So at this point, okay we decide to stand in front of the counter for the food. Spoiler alert, it takes them another 10 minutes before we finally get our order. In conclusion, we would have much appreciated at least some heads-up communication by staff if they're going to be running out of spicy chicken. They could have notified us about the wait, rather than it having been us needing to go up and inquire ourselves. Or even let us know that they're close to running out, so we could adjust our order and choose all regular chicken. The lack of communication by the cashier, who also didn't even tell us our receipt order number, definitely could have been better and would have left us feeling much more understanding instead of annoyance and anger.
