I don't know what came over me to want to stop and try this fast food place. I'm not a huge fan of Filipino food unless we are talking lumpia. There was no lumpia at this restaurant. I had the 2 piece chicken and spaghetti. The spaghetti reminded me of the Chef Boyardee kind. You know that stuff we ate as kids, where the tomato sauce has a bit of sweet to it? I had Jollibee delivered at work in Downey and it was so good! So I told my family about it and we went to the Rancho Cucamonga location. Gross. First, I ordered my food online for a scheduled pick up for 5:45pm. I get there at 5:45 pm and wait in line because there was so designated spot for pick up? I tell them I am here to pick up and they JUST started packing my order. Then, I get to the car and realize they did not include the 5 pies that came with our family meal. I went back in and they gave me 6, thanks, but I was annoyed that they missed a big chunk of my order like that. THEN, on my way home I realized they did not include the drink that I paid extra for to go along with my husbands combo. That's not all. The young staff were drinking boba, socializing and not jumping in to help with all these delayed orders. The chicken had absolutely ZERO flavor and I even joked and asked my family if we have lost our sense of taste because the last time I had Jollibee in Downey it was so good? Anytime I am feeling for some standard fried chicken with some heat. I would order a bucket Jollibee spicy joy. The spicy joy chicken come with gravy that you can dip for even more flavor. The only problem I have with this location is they dont have it. I had to wait in line just to find out they are out of the spicy joy. There goes my joy in my tummy, but I was able to tried their new spicy chicken sandwich as a substitute. The spicy chicken sandwich is pretty delicious as the meat is huge. Always heard about the place and my friend Van D finally took me to try he right things! Ordered halo halo and polabok to wash down our mouth after trying a very dry cupcake place and my friend wanted to show me how the real Filipino food is. Polabok was amazing!! I loved the sauce they used on top along with lemon juice. But I wished the noddles were less dry and used more eggs instead of two thinly sliced egg. Halo halo was a very cute looking drink that came with mini scoop of taro, mango ice cream and chunk of flan. At the bottom of the drink it had jelly and beans and when I mixed all the ingredients together it made it taste better. My friend knew about the chunks and how hard it'll be to eat it so she gave me a boba straw which was a brilliant idea. Drank my halo halo so easily. Next time when i go back to this place I am going to try the chicken as I saw so many people eating it while I was there. But we were saving room for other goodies so ended up getting one dish and halo halo. read more

You have to love Jollibee! They're fried chicken is always so tender and crisp and fresh out of the kitchen! They are always so busy here so sometimes your order might take longer than usual. It's a good sign that they are always packed, but if you are in a hurry I would definitely recommend ordering online or calling in first to avoid the lines. Ordered to go online via the Jollibee website but they did not include any utensils. Why would you not include utensils for any to go order?!? It should not be requested, it should automatically be included! No we did not take our order home, we ate it outdoors which means we need utensils! So we had to drive around the block to ask for utensils from nearby restaurants. The person who prepared the order might have forgotten it, but by knowing someone who worked for Jollibee before, they were trained to not include anything that is not requested! I will never have anything bad to say about Jollibee! Better than KFC in my humble Filipino opinion. The signature fried chicken is a lot less greasy-feeling since they actually have more chicken than breading (as opposed to a lot of other fried chicken places). The gravy is just *chef's kiss*. We took our son out for a quick dinner on Friday night. Honestly, I had watched a mukbang video with someone stuffing themselves to the brim with jollibee and I figured why not give the place a try. It's a typical fast food place when you walk in with an immediate greeting. Cheerful employees behind the counter. The menu is pretty basic. Spaghetti, chicken, rice and hotdogs. I ordered two pieces of chicken and Adobo rice. My husband ordered two pieces and spaghetti, as did my son. I failed to mention I ordered my chicken spicy. I will agree it had enough spice to make my nose runny. I had a leg and a breast. They were both crunchy, juicy, delicious. The adobo rice was okay. It was better when I poured gravy in it. I think the reason I wasn't raving over the rice is because I tasted my husband's spaghetti first. That stuff was the bomb diggity. I was so jealous with my rice from that moment forward. I guess I learned my lesson the hard way. Filipino spaghetti is nothing to dismiss. Everyone in my party was oohing and aaahing over their food the whole time so I would say it was a successful foray for the evening.
