    Pork chops

Jonathan's still puts out great dishes after all these years. Great restaurant with great food. The pork chop was huge and delicious!

Pre concert dinner. Disappointed with seating, a table for two where there shouldn't be a table. It was chaotic the entire meal. Whatever you do, don't get the table for two by the bathroom, walk out and go somewhere else. The food wasn't that good either.

I visited Jonathan's Ristorante with a party of 5 the sunday after Thanksgiving and had such a great time. The place is lovely and cozy inside. We started with the Burrata e Speck and that was the most delicious appetizer. The flavor was perfect. We also had the Prosciutto di Parma appetizier special which was fine. For dinner, 3 of us ordered the Halibut special recommended by our waiter Marlon. After taking our order, he returned to tell us that there were only 2 left. To make up for it, he brought me an extra glass of Pinot Grigio. What incredible service! Marlon was the absolute best throughout the entire experience. Not only was his service 10/10, but his personality was awesome as well. He created such a warm and inviting dining experience. I decided to go with the Cavatelli all' Aragosta instead of the Halibut and it was delicious. The dish was full of lobster meat, rather than just a few pieces sprinkled on top. Every single bit had plenty of lobster. My boyfriend had the double cut pork chop which may have been the most delicious pork i've ever tried. After our meal, Marlon brought us some complimentary palate cleansing sorbet, and that just topped the evening off beautifully. What a great experience. When we return, we will definitely be requesting a seat at Marlon's table!

Out for dinner with friends for restaurant week & found a gem of a restaurant in Huntington! From the lovely waitress who thoroughly knew the menu, to Alex, the GM who came over to chat & introduce himself, to the DELICIOUS food on the menu, we had a perfect evening. Every dish was delicious from the apps (salad, eggplant & mushroom rice balls) to the entree of seared scallops w/baby artichokes. Thank you, Jonathan's Ristorante. We will be back again.

The wife and I have always enjoyed dinner at a place with great food, great service, parking and CLASS. Such is the case with Jonathan 's in Huntington, New York. Friends and family have been talking up this place to me for years. Why I never listened earlier, I'll never know. We dined at Jonathan's last weekend with family. There were four of us. Jonathan's is a classic Italian throwback restaurant in the best possible way. The restaurant is nice and clean and the entire staff are on their game. Sophia, our waitress, was very knowledgeable about the menu and was prepared to answer any questions we might have had. She made some suggestions that we took her up on. For our salad we shared the Caesar salad. Fresh and delicious. I ordered the shrimp appetizer which was grilled shrimp atop this delicious polenta with candied orange strips. On a scale of 1-10 this was an 11. The wife and her cousin had the ravioli with truffle. My other cousin had the Cacio e Pepe with truffles. Myself, I had the roasted chicken with roasted potatoes. The sauce in my chicken was just devine with just the right amount of richness and just enough acid to cut through it nicely afterwards. For dessert I had the Panna cotta with berries. Just creamy and perfect. My cousin had the chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream. He did not share. The ladies shared a tiramisu cake and then complained about not having ordered their own. LOL. Our meal was superb. They are COOKING HERE FOR REAL folks. Our waitress Sophia, just a doll. Very warm and welcoming. Nothing was a big deal. We are coming back soon.

Came on a Saturday night and this place was busy but I can understand why! Food and drinks were great, ambiance was too and staff were friendly. Restaurant is in the village and didn't have a parking lot but super close to the main parking. We had the burrata then I had the linguini with tiger shrimp the waitress recommended it had a bit of a spicy kick for me made it amazing! My husband had the pork chop and was a favorite which was also yummy and had champagne to pair with it which took awhile to come, actually. Finished off with a delicious flourless chocolate cake. Only thing is felt like they kept coming around to take plates which is good but felt rushed but then again it was Saturday night.

Jonathan's is a good Italian restaurant. They have great service and drinks. The food is hit or miss. When I've tried new things I've been disappointed so I typically stick with my favorite dish which is the linguine nere con gamberi (black linguine with tiger shrimp and spicy tomato sauce). This is a fantastic dish loaded with shrimp and spice. I do have to say their prices are a bit high for what they offer. The linguine pasta I mentioned is $33. Their porkchop is $46 which is typically what restaurants charge for veal, not pork. Overall, I'd recommend giving Jonathan's a try. The service is great, generous drinks, and some good items on the menu.

As previous reviews mention, the inside is decorated to look like you're on a patio in Tuscany. It's deceptively large inside, and we sat all the way at the back around the corner. The waitstaff were very efficient and pleasant, giving my boyfriend and I time to look over the menu but coming soon after we'd set them down on the table. After some complimentary bread and very tasty garlic knots, we started with one of their appetizer specials to share, and were very pleased with it. It had fresh grilled Italian sausage served over garlicky cannellini beans and broccolini. Everything was balanced and well prepared. For our dinner we both got pasta; I got the butternut squash agnolotti (de zucca) with butter and sage, and he got the ricotta cavatelli bolognese. The bolognese was delicious, but I felt like the squash agnolotti needed something else to make it a proper dinner. The filling is just squash puree, no cheese, and the melted butter sauce is very very decadent. I would get something a bit more filling next time, but other than that I enjoyed my meal and our experience!

My biggest issue was the $33 Moules Au Pernod. The shells were normal size, but the mussels inside were tiny. For a restaurant at this price point, I would expect much better quality. It seemed like the restaurant either received a poor-quality batch or chose to serve undersized mussels that should have been noticed before reaching customers. The food was enjoyable, but the portion sizes and quality of the mussels didn't justify the premium prices. With better value and more attention to ingredient quality, my rating would have been higher.

We read a recent review where someone proclaimed the owner to be nasty & unfriendly (sure, I am paraphrasing). Those types of reviews are generally emotionally charged and written by plebs I find. More on that toward the end. Pulling up to a rather unassuming east end Long Island small shopping plaza drenched in rain; opening the door, you are taken back to a semi rustic and dim interior. Perfectly elegant in its bucolic charm- with nice lounge music playing. It is a sit where one likes atmosphere. This is meant with the utmost of respect and candour. We were greeted kindly by the proprietoress (Jacqueline), and handed pleasantly robust binders with the wine list and food. Deciding to treat this in the more European café type, we had glasses and charcuterie. I, the Sagrantino, and her the Kerner. Jacqueline was vocally pleased with our interesting choices. The night drew on, more wine ensued, more food, multiple conversations, and I completed reading through each page and wine choice...finding much to be recognised and appreciated (Kirwan, Moric, Georg Breuer to name but a few) At the end of the night, I asked Jacqueline to pick an appropriate nightcap. She not only delivered, but gave us a wonderful story including the provenance and her experiences - ultimately, the word genius came up more than once. To wit, there was nothing here but an exceptional experience with a like-minded wine enthusiast. I felt welcomed and in the frith of old kin. Nasty, belligerent, dullard atmosphere- indeed not.
