Avocado toast / Avocado for breakfast?
    Kathy P.

Went to Joni's on our last day in Montauk. Wish we had gone sooner! This little beach cafe serves up amazing custom breakfast wraps with high quality ingredients. We ordered a breakfast wrap (bacon, cheddar, onion, jalapeño) and an avocado toast and ate it outside of the restaurant on one of the picnic tables. We didn't have to wait too long, but it may have been because we went to Montauk during off-season. Either way, it's a great and fresh bite there or on the go. Can't wait to come back again in my next visit to Montauk!

Had a lovely acai bowl in here today ~ super cute and clean establishment! Lots of options - gluten-free & vegetarian people will love. Breakfast served all day. Big menu. Can't go wrong in here, I highly recommend

Extensive and inclusive menu. I tried the sex booster shake with protein powder which was simple yet good. I doubled back for the ole ole wrap which I was excited about so had to try it while it was hot and although it was fresh and filled with lots of ingredients, I did expect more flavor. All good because it was sufficient. Their fridge however, has a ton a healthy drinks too. I rate four stars because it's the breakfast/snack place everyone can find something on the menu. A little busy with signage and merch inside (which is fun and a bit explicit, it's hilarious). Small outdoor patio. Overall 3-4 stars for flavor.

Went back was craving the delicious wrap I had to receive a stale toasted dry wrap that was incredibly fresh the first time I went a few days ago. There were no seaszme sticks or dressing it was like a child made it was awful.

The menu is extensive. The ole ole ($17) while expensive was stuffed with a ton of different ingredients that made it very tasty and flavorful. There were mini cups of hot sauces. The food was ready *lightening* fast. Outdoor seating available on the weekend surprisingly. Such a cute and lovely experience.

Love this place! Food is so fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly Clutch place for a snack, meal or drink. So many choices to eat! The zen rabbit salad is off the hook! Nice picnic tables outside.

Joni's is so fresh and healthy, yet keeps you so satisfied and full. There's lots of people pretty much all the time, so expect a wait if you order online. If you order in store though, I would expect about a 10-15 minute wait after ordering for your food to come out, depending how much you ordered. There's bar seating inside and ample picnic table style seating outside. We got the Ole Ole and a custom breakfast burrito, both pressed, and wow they were delicious! The Ole Ole was definitely the favorite as it was more flavorful and had more eggs. I also think I prefer the guacamole compared to the avocado. The custom breakfast burrito was also delicious, but slightly more bland. It had a ton of veggies with egg and cheese, but there was definitely less egg. Definitely get the burrito pressed!! Makes it warm and extra delicious, with the nice crisp of the tortilla. All the ingredients are super fresh and high quality, and the meal feels very clean while still being super satiating (one burrito each was enough to make us feel pretty full!)

Super cute breakfast and lunch spot. Great location with just a short walk to the beach. Delicious! Fresh, healthy and many vegetarian options. Fast service too.

Cute food spot that always draws a crowd. It has outdoor seating or a small window seating area. Lots of healthy options available for breakfast and lunch, including coffee and fresh juices. I got a coffee and selected my own breakfast wrap. The wrap was very tasty, you could tell it was prepared with fresh ingredients. I also tried a slice of the homemade banana bread and it was so moist and delicious. Completely understand why this place is always drawing the crowds in, I will definitely return

Got here early and the line was LONG. The food took a bit longer than desired, but was excellent when it was ready. They have amazing gluten free breakfast options, as well as fresh juices that are delicious. The hot sauce added to the wrap was heavenly. Sat outside and enjoyed breakfast.

With all the places to choose from in Montauk to grab a quick bite this place is where my son choose. The outside is cute with color tables and umbrellas and thats where it stops. Our party of 5 where ready to order and it really seemed so disorganized inside that my daughter left to get a bagel around the corner at Goldbergs. Menu looks good with nice options. The smokin jack sandwich is what my son choose Sounds delish he ordered and asked for no tomato. You would definitely think it would be made fresh and served warm as it would be considered a special order but nope the girl pointed to a refrigerator and said oh I think I have that sandwich made already as she dug to the back of the fridge and pulled one out. God only knows how long it has been there. The others in our party were totally turned off by that. My son was to embarrassed to say anything so we went to meet my daughter and opened up this disgusting "sandwich". Turkey was slimy bread was so soggy and the "cheese" was definitely NOT jack cheese. It was some sort of frozen shredded cheese, there was bacon on only one side of the bread. Wound up taking a fee bites then had to throw it away hoping not to get sick. This is not a place we would EVER recommend or go back to. Gross

Quality goes down every year. Outrageous prices for what you get. Have the audacity to charge a ton of extra money for 1 slice of tomato.

I was with my mom and when we went up to order she had some questions about the menu, and ended up just ordering a regular coffee. I asked questions about one of their latte specials, which the person working answered, and then said I'd take one of those. He rung us up and it was only $8 which I guess should've been an indicator that he didn't clock that I had also ordered - but if you have two people at a coffee shop and one person asking about a latte don't you think they want one as well? We waited around 15 minutes or so and when I finally went back up he was surprised that I also wanted something. The coffee was fine but kind of overpriced which is par for the course here. But people on the internet love it so maybe I'm the one who's wrong.

Now we don't venture all the way to Amagansett often, but we like to head out to Montauk once a year, and social media presented a cute coffee shop to stop at on the way, Bonfire. Cute could definitely be the word, especially the exterior of the place with some shaded seats on their deck and the small grassy courtyard that encompassed them and the neighboring storefronts. The vibes worked, though many other factors were more iffy. I'll try to focus on the other good options in that the menu of Bonfire is intriguing from their coffee and food options as well as gelato. I'll also say the staff, despite a small snafu (more on that in a sec), were able to take orders and keep things going. I'll even say that on first sip of my coffee I was wowed, but that's just what you see on the surface level. Underneath those positives was a pricier coffee spot with my wife's blueberry whip latte coming in at $11. Between that, a chocolate croissant, and my own latte we spent $27 which is a little much for what we got. Yes, eastern Long Island can be pricy, but dang. As for my aforementioned coffee, I got the Bonfire Latte which combined vanilla, hazelnut, and cardamom flavors to create what started as a truly delicious taste, but after a few sips once the flavor punch wore off, I would've at least expected a coffee kick in there. Honestly, there wasn't much. The real sign this was true was my wife who prefers a little more sweetness than coffee taste in her drinks saying that she couldn't taste any coffee in hers either. Oh and that croissant while soft and flaky, definitely felt like the chocolate could've been a little more melted in to it as I pulled out a whole piece when trying to tear it for my wife. One last item about the croissant was the fact that we ordered it and no one gave it to us. Our coffees came out relatively quickly despite the place being somewhat busy, but we stood and watched a few people who ordered after us get their stuff before I had to ask about the croissant which seemed to have been forgotten about. Oy. Overall, Bonfire Coffeehouse presents itself as a lovely eastern location to get some morning brews and then some, but perhaps it's not as fantastic as the facade it showcases. I'd like to try them one more time in the future, but that'll be a long time off (probably not til next summer) and that's if I feel like it's worth the price and I'm willing to believe the lack of coffee flavor was a fluke. Head out on the south fork and you be the judge.
