    Spinach and Ricotta Cauliflower Pizza
    John M.

I had a make your own cauliflower crust with spinach and ricotta, which I always love a place that has ricotta. This place has a great selection of premium toppings, though both the regular and premium toppings are kind of pricey. With the crust and 2 toppings it was over $25 for a small before delivery fees. I mainly wanted to try the cauliflower crust to compare it to others. In general, I think they all are similar enough that most places may be getting from the same supplier (or I couldn't tell the difference), but what changes is how well they can cook it. I think this one was well executed, nice and crispy, with some heavy browning, and no soggy bits. I wish I had gotten to try it fresh, but with delivery it arrived cold. Not really their fault, just a result of them only offering third party delivery. I would buy it again, though maybe not as often because of the price, but their selection of toppings will probably bring me back at some point.

Tiramisu. So fresh and so good.

I've never been to Italy but this food had a very homemade taste. The minestrone was the best I've ever had. We got the large antipasto salad and it's HUGE! The chicken Parmesan was so yummy. And the dessert selection makes you want to order one of everything! The service was wonderful. Everyone was so nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not loud but it is open kitchen-ish so you can see the chefs making the food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We can't wait to go again!!

Hubby and I were looking for a new pizza spot for Friday night date night. Joseph's was close by and a Jacksonville staple so we headed over to give them a try. They were fairly busy but we were seated right away. We ordered an x-large pepperoni pizza. I thought it was good just not my favorite. The crust tasted good and had a good crisp but it was a bit thick for my liking. The sauce, cheese and pepperoni were all good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was great as was the ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would return and try something different next time.

We had the grilled chicken sandwich and a slice of pepperoni pizza. They were delicious! I've decided I prefer my pizza with little to no tomato sauce. My friend had the grilled chicken sandwich and she said it was cheesy good. (Coming from a picky eater that's great) How server was great, she was able to answer our quest and make suggestions that helped in our choice. I ended up buying the spinach feta roll to go. It just looked so good and she said it would do well reheated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is very easy and seating isn't crowded. They have tables for 2 or more without issue[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We arrived just after they opened and by the time we left it was full of guest.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It has been a while since I went to Joseph's, it lived up to the deliciousness I remembered.

After my mother's unveiling today, we came here today in honor of my parents who shared their first meal as husband and wife here 63 years ago. My parents died 12 months apart to the month and today was a meal to celebrate and honor them. The Manager was PHENOMENAL!!! Her commitment to Joseph's was apparent and her desire to provide outstanding customer service was evident by actions!! The chicken was out of this world! Portions huge and so flavorful! Worth the drive! Thank you Joseph's for honoring my parents 63rd anniversary so well!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice place with a neat blend of homey and modern.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I especially enjoyed sitting in the picture window bench seats and watching humanity pass by on Main Street.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Friday lunch special of baked ziti and soup (Italian wedding for me). DH had an eggplant parmigiana. Both were delicious. Our server, Teresa was super sweet and attentive. We wanted for nothing during our visit. Parking was a little dicey, but only due to a retirement party. Joseph's is hosting first responders this month and they eat free. You should drop by.

We went for dinner after a day at the zoo. It was fairly busy but we were seated right away so not overly so. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a very cute restaurant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the waitress was nice but it was hard to get her attention (wanted to order appetizers because our pizza was taking so long but didn't get her). It took over an hour to get our pizza and when we asked about the delay we were told it was because they'd received a lot of online orders. The pizza was just okay and not worth the wait.

    Pepperoni Pizza

What an amazing place. Consistently delicious; great pizza, fabulous cakes/pies, and fantastic meatballs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the food, service and the eclectic atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is always great; fast, friendly, and seemingly with passion (caring staff). 100% worth the trip for the pie and if you're lucky enough, you can catch the Jacksonville ukulele club playing your favorite songs.

She was patient and very helpful as well. I ordered a bacon and mushroom pizza. My go to pizza. The places is simple: ovens, slice station, and the prep counter. Exactly what's needed for a pizza place. The mural on the wall listed the 5 boroughs and had the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as the Statue of Liberty. I mean, New York is there. The pizza came out fast and I got back. Here's the thing: Florida is notorious for having lackluster pizza. There's no ways around it. The pizza was cooked perfectly, thin, and a thicker crust. Perfect for folding. The sauce: not too loose and not too thin. Good amount for pizza, regardless of location. Flavor wise, not bad. Cheese and toppings had the right amount so it could incorporate into every bite. Now going back to my statement on Florida pizza. It's better than other Floridian pizzas I've had. It scratched the itch and I definitely enjoyed it. They'll get my business when I come back to Jacksonville!

The ham was below average, with one hard bit. My wife didn't like that there was so little pineapple in it. Our Napoleon pastry was pretty good, and I might get it again ($5 for a small one). We both preferred it to the brownie ($4). I don't particularly like brownies, but this one looked particularly appetizing, and the order-taker said it was one of her favorites, so we tried it. That was a mistake. Perhaps I should have tried the mini cream puffs, which are a favorite of mine (3 for $5), instead. Among other things I usually like, they had carrot cake for $7 and a cup of cheesecake for $9 (which seems steep). Their fruit shaped pastries looked beautiful (and a couple next to us said they loved the mango one), but were $12 each. Their fruit-topped Danishes also looked delicious, but weren't available any more at lunch time. They also offer milk shakes and loaded (sweet) croissants. There are only four stools here next to a bar, if you want to eat in. The bathroom was pretty good. I probably wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area I might try some of their other pastries or sweet treats.

Julia at the counter must be used to first-timers She was so helpful and didn't seem put-out by all the questions. So many choices. See photos which are self-explanatory. While the fruit options are what they're known for, I thought them pricey, but ok for the optics, and a good flavor. All are made of the same stuff with the contents fruit-appropriate. I couldn't decide on just one, but with my only requirement being "not too sweet", I took the advice of a regular customer and got the lemon which was not too tart or sour and just creamy enough as to be likened to a creamsicle and also the recommendation by Julia who only asked: do you like coffee? To which I replied only with cream and sugar and I got that luscious lovely sl oblong confection. $24 for two pieces of delectable gorgeousness? I wouldn't do this often but it was a very satisfying bit of indulgence. Btw, they can't give you a cup of water, but you can buy a bottle of it. Or sit out back next to the pond with your own water bottle from the car.
