There is street parking and not too hard to find a spot in this area. Looked over their menu and went for the Tonkotsu Ramen which i ordered with pork belly in creamy pork broth, noodles, green onion, bean sprouts, spinach, seaweed, and egg. it came out nice and hot and really warmed up the belly. the pork belly was extremely tender, very satisfying. The atmosphere is obviously japanese. food is served in japanese bowls with big spoons and chopsticks. The condiments seemed to be lacking like the spicy japanese chili pepper powder. They serve japanese beer. The welcoming feel and customer service is a little on the cold side and took a while to have order taken when there weren't that many people. The staff here was super friendly as I was picking up my food. It's a night ramen spot with outdoor seating. You order up front and then it's brought out to you. I appreciated the casual dining. The food was great! I got the tonkatsu and my wife got the spicy tonkatsu. Both were delicious, but we did take it to go so wasn't as hot. Next time I'll have in person because the fast was great and I think having it right when it's done would be perfect. I love the portions, the service, and the flavor of everything I have tried here. From the takoyaki and fried shrimp to the spicy tonkotsu ramen; everything has been served fresh, hot, and accurately made. The fried shrimp were pretty big, crunchy, and portioned just right. The tonkotsu ramen is always served with a thick, tender, and juicy piece of chashu pork. The broth is rich, creamy, and transfers that pork flavor to the ramen. On 12/09/23 this is one of my favorite restaurants to come to. I've always enjoyed the food and the service. But on this day, the server put a sour taste in our mouth that has not allowed us to ever come back to this establishment. She was very rude to us and we felt like we weren't wanted in the establishment. There was 2 open tables for us to be seated for a party of 4 but she refused to sit us and my wife is handicap and it was difficult for us to even get there. Nothing unpacked been working all day waiting and waiting for this Ramen that I paid priority delivery for and it shows up with absolutely no utensils. What am I supposed to eat soup with my hands? My family were there and we were very displeased with the staff. Specifically our server, she tried to charge us gratuity for five persons when it was only four of us that actually ate there. It's a cold and cloudy afternoon- perfect soup weather. We were looking in yelp for a good soup place- we had started looking for grilled cheese and soup... but then got distracted, as one does reviewing yelp reviews. We then looked up noodles. We checked out the reviews, and picked Jounetsu. We were trying to order online- but we wanted the combo plates and it wasn't showing online. She said yes, and let us customize our orders. It was my niece and I. She ordered the eel bowl combo with the Tonkotsu Ramen with pork belly. I ordered the Spivey tuna bowl combo with Spicy miso ramen and tofu and a veggie broth. We were told our order would be ready in 15 minutes. It was ready when we got there. The parking is hard in that area- we lucked out with a spot 2 blocks away. The food was still warm when we got home- about 10 minutes drive. The broth is separate from the noodle base- so you can add at your leisure. The salad looks nice- I haven't tried it yet- so much food. I will eat it later when I have the rest of my meal. The tuna was good- I have 2/3 left to eat later. I would have liked a bit of soy sauce. The broth was good. I would not do the tofu next time. My niece loved her eel- but said she wishes the eel bowl was bigger, and the ramen portion smaller. We both have enough left for a whole next meal. The soup met the soup craving we were having. The sesame chicken appetizer was very good; they used dark meat, potentially thigh and it was fried perfectly. The miso ramen was way too heavily salted. All I tasted was salt. The tonkotsu ramen broth was very thick and not a great flavor. The noodles in the ramen, some of which were undercooked, weren't the greatest either. Been here twice, both times were great. The staff are attentive and the food is served fast and is top quality. Got the tonkotsu ramen with extra chasu and a pork bun both times and each time I came away impressed. The pork bun is fresh and the meat is exactly what you hope for; simultaneously crispy and juicy. The ramen is flavorful, but not overly salty like a lot of ramen places. Everything tastes fresh. It's rare I'm able to finish the entire bowl of ramen, but I try. Here I *almost* succeed. The ambience is good with indoor and outdoor seating with us if to taste. We ordered from this place right now for lunch. Their website advertises their sushi at a certain price with pictures of cut rolls ($5 California, $6 spicy tuna, $6 shrimp tempura). Got the receipt and the prices for cut rolls are actually $7 $9 $9. It's an $8 difference in price. Once you click all the way into the item you see the price difference. So, if you're ordering over the phone make sure to click on all of the items on their website to find the actual price because their site is incredibly misleading & they said there's nothing they can do about it, which there absolutely is. Tonkotsu Ramen: The Tonkotsu ramen came with noodles, green onions, bean sprouts, spinach, seaweed, egg, and your choice of pork belly, chicken, or tofu. I went with the pork belly because, yeah...pork belly. This was my first time having Tonkotsu and I really enjoyed it. The pork belly was cooked excellently and I really liked it in a soup. I've only always had it fresh off the bbq, so this was a nice change up. Appetizers: I ordered a cucumber salad and six-piece gyoza with chicken. The cucumber was cut fresh and tossed in yuzu dressing with sesame seeds all atop spinach. The chicken gyoza was cooked nicely and very tasty. Both were full of flavor and I liked them a bunch.
