    Beef hotpot

The skewers are fantastic. Hot pot was also excellent although I didn't think the beef added much so I would probably get the vegetable next time. Skewers we're cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the hotpot broth was delicious and spicy and the glass noodles and cabbage were the best part. Great spot in HMart

Flavor was ok but very dry and extremely skimpy for the price you pay, Maine if they gave you 4-5 but for 3 skinny ass sticks, no thanks

If you're in the mood for a quick food court bite this place has great skewers. Noodles are decent as well if you can handle the spice!

This is a nice antidote to what way TOO MANY "Asian" restaurants are like in the greater Boston…read morearea: slick, prettified and exoticized decor, inflated pricing and mediocre, bland and generally dumbed-down tourist food. This place is none of those things---the interior is simple and dare I say, well worn. But that's the whole point, you feel like you're in an authentic immigrant family restaurant, which it appears to be---a very very sweet and kind lady seems to be the only server in this place (we went on a weeknight, so maybe on a Friday/Sat/Sun it's more crowded and there are more staff) and her husband mans the cash register by the door. Old school! Food is solid and authentic, and refreshingly gimmick-free. What you see is what you get. Shockingly, the prices are about the same as in the Korean places in the food court at H-Mart down the road in Burlington...but you get more and better quality food! And they don't appear to have an alcohol license, which is kind of a good thing because they don't try to upsell you with their drink menu, which in Asian restaurants tend to be pretty lousy mass-market water-beers (sometimes just with Asian labels on similar swill) at craft-beer prices anyhow. Bimbibap was quite unique: rice was served on a separate bowl, while the actual main bowl was full of veggies and meat and egg. Very nice contrast to most places' bimbibap being 80% rice and 20% veggies/meat. Came with a small side of miso soup. UPDATE, one week later: Came back to try out the Korean BBQ. For 3 people, we ordered 3 of the BBQ menu items, came out to a reasonable $100 or so before tip since we just had the complimentary toasted brown rice tea (hyeonmi-cha) and ice water. It was just the right amount of food for an evening meal (more voractious eaters would probably want an additional 1-2 dishes) and the lady came to our table to cook the food for us, ensuring that nothing would be overcooked. The short rib was easily the best, followed by the bulgogi, and the squid with pork belly and veggies was pretty good not great (it was interestingly cooked over the open flame on a square of aluminum foil). Everything was perfectly marinated, tender and juicy. Ventilation was good, so our clothes did not reek of roasted meat afterwards---some places have weak fans, this one did not. Service was again impeccable, gracious and speedy...very nice warm vibes, not cold or perfunctory like some places. Will definitely be coming back for more!

Decided since we were in the area, the lady and I would give it a go! Still the best available in the area IMO for non-AYCE traditional style. They cook it for you so if you aren't KBBQ savvy, they got you! The wife is awesome she's usually very sweet and cooks your meats perfectly. The hubby, haha he always seems grouchy but no issues. Service is quick and space and tables are ample. The meat cuts are plenty, always go with Kalbi, spicy pork, jap chae appetizer. Of course you also get plenty of banchan to supplement your meal! Will def come back again!

I have never been to The Melting Pot…read morebefore, but he has and has always spoke highly of it so what better way to celebrate than to share his experiences with me during my birthday. The restaurant appears small upon entry, but when we were called to our reserved table, there's a doorway behind the host desk that leads to the back rooms which were very private. The hostess were all very friendly. She lead us to our table where were shortly greeted by our server. She was amazing as well. She was very gracious and had our table setup with the flowers, card, chocolates, and champagne my fiancé had arranged and we started there. She asked the occasion and attempted to get to know us better to make our experience more personalized and a small cake was also brought over. She explained everything in detail and how their menu works which helped us (more me) decide on the best option for myself. There was a lot to choose from. We had appetizer options which we selected the loaded baked potato one. It came with chunks of apple, bread, pretzels, and various veggies such as broccoli, mushroom, carrots and tomatoes. For our main course we selected a broth and different meats, veggies, and seafood and added a couple lobsters. The only issue I had was one of the lobsters was a bit old and didn't taste right. The shell was also already turning a bit red, so it must've been near something warm. Either way, the rest of our meal and experience was overall great. I gave 4 stars because of one of the lobsters being old. The other lobster was fine though. Overall, we had a great experience and I would go back. We left very full and had lots of food leftover so make sure you go hungry.

We'd like the assortment of cheeses, and the meat and seafood seemed good quality. So did the vegetables. We enjoyed the chocolate course, although wished they included more fruit than baked bites. Now I'm debating between three and four stars, and the sole reason is price. Man, that was expensive for what it was and what you got. We agreed we would come back, but maybe once a year.

I ordered the beef noodle soup ($15.95) and vegetarian leek pie ($9.95). Both came out within 10 minutes. The beef noodle soup had the thin flat wheat noodle ubiquitous in Taiwanese noodle soups. The soup was well-flavored with stock. Too many of these sorts of places over-rely on soy sauce, making a salty yet thin and underflavored bowl. Not here. I will nitpick and say that I would like larger chunks of beef, not the sort of cubed stew beef you see at the supermarket. The vegetarian leek pie (as it's called in the menu) is a pastry stuffed with chive (not leek), egg, and vermicelli. It was decently salted and hot. The portion sizes were quite satisfying as well. Closing thought - this place has, so far, the closest to what I would consider a decent bowl of Taiwanese beef noodle soup I've had in the Boston metro area so far. I'm always on the lookout for it

Service was strange... hot tea came to table right away and was watered down and minimal tea flavor. I ordered a sesame chicken lunch special which came with soup egg drop soup, spring roll , white rice. I ordered a side of beef teriyaki . Waitress asked 1 or 2 teriyaki ? I assumed how many teriyaki sticks or small or large options? I said 2. Egg drop soup and spring roll shows up with duck sauce... egg drop soup was very good. Spring roll was excellent and filling was fresh. Then Next 2 orders of beef teriyaki with 4 sticks each show up??? She takes away my duck sauce from my spring roll... and leaves me with no duck sauce for my beef teriyaki? I now ask for duck sauce for teriyaki? She brings out a hot spicy sauce instead of duck sauce ? The sesame chicken was very good but more sweet and sour sauce flavor than sesame ? The beef teriyaki was extremely tough meat and I had to ask for a knife to cut up? No glass of water as I saw other tables getting water? I had to ask for water as tea wasn't doing it for me ? Then another duck sauce shows up I didn't ask for but glad it did arrive and was needed? Teriyaki had great flavor but tough like beef jerky and one order would have been enough to tolerate without the confusion of getting 2 orders and then also charged for two ? I found the service confusing and not a smooth outing? Then both the waitresses disappeared while waiting for the check . I asked for a glass of water at this point. No fortune cookie, pineapple or exit offering with the check? All in all I was confused.. but I would eat again here and assume staff trying ... next time I'll be very clear what 1 vs 2 means. The menu does look many good options and convenience with parking, location and nice dining room. I would have rate 4-5 stars but the teriyaki wasn't tender and too tough to enjoy.

We got there mid afternoon and the place was not busy. We greeted and seated almost immediately. It was a super pleasure to have Sandesh as a server and what a super nice and helpful man. Not only did he treat us well but also explained a lot about Nepali food and culture as we asked. He checked on us often as his way to make sure that everything was going well and if we had any questions. I learned that water buffalo(buff) is one of the favorite proteins in Nepal. We were informed that they get the meat from a farm in NY and that they like to keep to authentic flavors. For an appetizer we went for the buff pan fried momos. We had both spicy and non-spicy dipping sauces since I prefer non-spicy. I found the sauce delicious and the buff to be an interesting protein that I would try again. For my main course I went for the chicken thali after learning that it is one of their traditional meals. You get a little bit of everything including dessert - a delicious greek yogurt mixed with green cardamom and coconut. Our server mentioned that if we wanted anything extra (except for the protein) that they would be happy to bring it. We had tons of leftovers because we tried several dishes and asked if we could have more rice and they provided a complimentary container when our food was packed. Place is super clean and has beautiful Nepali decorations. Even your bill is brought in a wooden box with Nepali carvings. There was soft music playing in the background. We were curious about the hot pot tables but were informed that they were left by the previous restaurant but that they don't offer hot pot. The women's bathroom is cleverly decorated with Nepali scenes and has a beautiful authentic faucet. Our server informed us that on Wednesdays and Thursdays they offer what he described as Nepali street food. Selected dishes are $5 except for a a whole fried fish that is $10. We might have to check them out one of these days. An overall great and unique find!
