    Chicken Katsu Box
    Jessica S.

I had been wanting chicken Katsu for a while before I indulged my craving, and this box was exactly what I wanted. Chicken was crispy, seasoned well, the sides were tasty, and it was all packaged in the perfect container. The service was quick and efficient. At first, I missed the door and went to the bbq place next door because their door was open and I could see through their windows. There's nothing I would change about Joy Box EXCEPT the entrance. It's not inviting and it's easy to miss because it's covered with signs. Regardless, I will be back here again.

    Spicy Chicken Teri Box

This is one of the best teriyaki places in the area and here's why: they get solid char on their chicken. The spicy chicken teriyaki has at least some spice to it unlike most places. They give you a lot, they add green onion and onion to their spicy chicken (spicy chicken is my go to). Most of all, they do something different from everyone else. It can sometimes feel as if each teriyaki place is basically the same. It's wonderful, but they take it a step up. I love this place.

RATS!!!! my boyfriend and I ate here and got chicken boxes. Five minutes into eating I look up and there are two rats crawling on the walls around the FRIDGES. They came from the direction of the kitchen and were crawling everywhere!!!!!

Food was delicious! Service was very nice. Got the chicken teriyaki plate.

Food is delicious and service is very nice. Ordered the chicken teriyaki plate. Recommend if you're in the area!

Very low quality beef, mostly fat, in the beef and broccoli
    Andy R.

I liked their chicken teriyaki, the rice was good and the vegetables though mostly cabbage did have a little bit of broccoli at least. The second time I went I got beef and broccoli and it was the absolute lowest quality beef I've ever had in my life and I'm not joking. It tastes like they got the worst cut of meat and took all the scraps from that meat and served it in this dish. Stick to the chicken.

Great food prepared quick, even through delivery services! Joy box will definitely take care of your teriyaki cravings- and their bento boxes come with egg rolls, shrimp tempura and gyoza!! (And the usual side salad of course ) For $20 it's a great value and their food never disappoints. They also offer Korean dishes on their menu and I'll definitely be trying those out soon! Pro tip: their 2 piece egg roll is $7 as an appetizer, it's the same egg roll (1 piece) you get with a bento box so keep that in mind if a bento box is part of your order ;) Lastly, this may sound frivolous but they use good quality napkins and plastic cutlery and it makes all the difference for me

So much flavor!! I've had the Spicy Bi Bim Bop, Katsu Bento Box and Yakisoba Noodle- they were all delicious and plentiful portions. This place absolutely worth trying - OH and also I've only ordered delivery so I can't wait to dine in when the times right.

We got chicken and gyoza and katsu chicken to go. You do have the option to eat inside if desired though they've only left few tables (Covid times). The food was ready pretty quickly and served in a nice box. We also liked the taste and we're pretty full after eating so good quantity as well.

When we first sat down, we were given hot barely tea. For food, I ordered the mixed (seafood + beef) tofu soup which came with 4 assorted ban chan, fried fish and ceramic pot white rice. Note: there's peas on the rice. My husband ordered the combo tofu soup + protein entree, which he chose beef tofu soup and bulgogi (thinly sliced marinated beef) and it was delicious! We shared the entree since it was pretty large size. The combo also came with side dishes, rice and fried fish. It was nicely grilled, easy to eat with small bones. Ban chan was pretty unlimited with staff constantly walking around to check in and make sure you have enough side dishes to enjoy with your meal. I have to note, the service is incredible! I couldn't have had a better lunch experience than my first time at Cho Dang. Will be back soon and highly recommend to friends :)

As visitors from the Bay Area where there are a bunch of Korean restaurants, I can confidently say the food here is far better than your average Bay Area Korean restaurant. Between the four of us, we ordered a 12 half-and-half piece wing set, a seafood pancake, a tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. Although food takes a long time to come out of the kitchen, the food is worth the wait! The seafood pancake was some of the best seafood pancake that I've had. The pancake had generous amounts of seafood in it and the crispiness could not be beat. Although the bibimbap comes in a large stone pot and is sizzling hot coming out of the kitchen, you unfortunately aren't able to extract any burnt rice from the bottom. Perhaps a little bit more oil is needed to achieve this? Despite this, it's still a really nicely constructed bibimbap bowl with a solid variety of vegetables. The chicken wings are crispy on the exterior and juicy on the interior. The wings are on the larger size, so once you get past the thin layer of crispy skin on the outside, I recommend dipping the wing back into the leftover sauce on the plate for more flavor. Last but not least, the tofu soup had a deep kimchi flavor, and was very mild in terms of spiciness. I thought the rice cakes included in the bowl were cooked perfectly and had a nice bounce to them. Overall, if you're looking for Korean food in this part of town, I don't think Danji Korean Cuisine can be beat.

The staff was efficient and friendly. We ordered the Katsu Ramen, Seafood Pajeon, and Galbi Soup. The Katsu Ramen came with instant noodles, which were different from Japanese ramen. I enjoyed the instant noodles as they had great flavor, but the katsu was a little hard and not crunchy. The Seafood Pajeon was excellent--it was crunchy and delicious. The Galbi Soup came with a lot of beef, but we found the galbi to be saltier than usual, and the beef might not have been as fresh. The seating was spacious. Parking was easy with street parking.

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. I didn't look up the exact violations, but it would be great to see an improvement in score. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

I can say the meat looked like high quality and tasted great! The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I personally wasn't a huge fan of the banchan (side dishes) that were offered. There was salad, that had like the full bottom parts of lettuce in it, there was onions in some kind of sauce, kimchi, just not a lot of things I personally like to eat. I would say their banchan definitely leans more towards Asian clientel, so if you go with someone who is a picky eater or not super familiar with asian/korean food, then just be aware of that I'd say. Overall though, I would say come here for the high quality meat! The service was good, but personally, I just won't be returning.
