I know teriyaki is a big thing over here in Seattle, so it's tough to actually decide on which ones to go to. I saw this opened up relatively recently, and decided to stop by on a Friday for lunch to try it out. It was fairly empty when I came in - maybe 1 or 2 parties were inside eating. I proceeded to the counter to order the chicken teriyaki and pork katsu plate, then within 10 minutes, the cashier delivered my order to my table. I started with the chicken teriyaki - it was a bit overcooked, evident by how dry it was. But the sauce was nice, not too sweet or salty. I then moved to the katsu, which was easily my favorite part of the meal. It was lightly breaded, yet was extremely crunchy when I bit into it. The pork was nicely cooked as well. The katsu was even sitting on a raised rack on the plate which helped maintain the crispiness around the whole pork. The salad was too wet for my liking - the dressing itself was more liquid-y than I've seen from any salad dressing. It was almost like a soup, and it failed to adhere to the salad in a way that was pleasant to eat. Taste-wise, it was average. The rice was nicely cooked, it wasn't like they were using stale rice from the previous day and then re-heating it. The interior is very casual, with plenty of open space for groups to eat together. It's one of the nicer teriyaki restaurants that I've been to, but not fancy by any means. Pricing is pretty decent, a little over $10 for a plate. Parking options include a parking lot right outside the restaurant, which can get tight since it's shared with other shops in the plaza. There's also street parking right in front, and I think you can park in Crossroads if you need to. A decent spot to get a casual lunch if you're nearby, but definitely not worth going out of your way for. read more

Good food with very kind and attentive staff! I got the chicken yakisoba, which is not really like Japanese yakisoba but it was very good. Garlicky with nicely stir fried fresh vegetables. I had tried the old place just before the ownership changed and wasn't very impressed. I like the new food better. It was a lovely summer day so I decided to make use of their outdoor seating. The menu is diverse, the service was friendly and attentive, and all the food was fresh, hot and tasty. The portions are also very generous! This is a nondescript little spot hidden away near The Crossroads mall not far from our house. We sipped in one dark rainy night craving Korean food. There was lots of traffic coming and going for takeout. As we wanted the hot stone bowl, we ate in. The food was pretty quick and definitely delicious. Most people seemed to be ordering their version of a Bento Box. I can't comment on that but our food was delicious. My husband had the beef which he enjoyed. I had the spicy pork which needed more heat in my opinion. Alas, that can always be added and never taken away. We will be back to try more items in the menu! read more

The spicy chicken teriyaki and the chicken yakisoba are absolutely delicious. We prefer both spicy. The price point is around $30 for two entrees and completely worth the takeaway price. Overall, the food here is decent and my favorite is the chicken Katsu. I did order a regular chicken teriyaki the other day and was very disappointed. Ouch... $16 out the door (including tax and tip). Sorry, NOT PAYING $16 for an $8.00 lunch. Decided to try the new establishment after eating at the old establishment (Fugi Teriyaki) for the past 12 years. Positives first. Great improvement on decor and overall ambiance. New flooring, tables, chairs, window treatment and piped in classical music. Serving size was excellent. No lines. All good! Yay! Then I looked at the menu. Lunch prices DOUBLED. No featured lunch specials. Ordered a standard/simple combo to try out: Teriyaki chicken with Chicken Katsu. The katsu was better the Fuji's (juicier meat and less dried out and the panko was thinner and more delicate). However the teriyaki chicken was close to flavorless. Needed 12 hours more marinating and more sugar in the marinade to caramelize on the grill. The stir fried cabbage was way too crunchy and needed about 1-2 minutes more time to be fully cooked. The rice was fine. Overall, the food is on par with the old Fugi Teriyaki. he presentation and atmosphere is 100% improved but the price doubled. NOPE, not coming back. read more

The shrimp tempura is a little thick on the breading and the spicy pork is over sauced so I would request for it to be served on the side next time instead of on top of the rice. I bought the bibimbap with beef today ( see receipt). When my kid ate couple spoons, I noticed purple cabbage is stale and some have black spots. The cabbage is uneatable. It's not hard for the shop to notice the stale cabbage but they still sell it to customers. Please be careful and check the food before eating. I decided to come here because I saw it was new! I do love some teriyaki! I heard this place was good as well and I wanted to try it. I came around late lunch time. It was pretty empty.
