The all-you-can-eat sushi here isn't the best deal you will find in Denver, but the quality is the best you will find when looking for an all-you-can-eat deal. It's no secret that I love sushi. We have been coming here for years and this place is amazing! I will never go to any other sushi place after coming here. The all you can eat deal is a STEAL. For not being in Denver, this place is pretty good. The restaurant is not visually pleasing but the food is so good it doesn't mater. We love coming here for the lunch buffet. It's not quite an "all you can eat" as there is a point limit and different items on the buffet menu are worth different points. What we love about this place is the nigiri. Everything tastes super fresh AND the nigiri is slightly smaller, more bite sized. There isn't an unnecessary amount of rice like you get at other places. The nigiri is balanced and so delicious. Some nigiri items (like the mackerel) also have some lemon on it and all the flavors work together well. read more

Very good sushi, pleasant and courteous staff, and a great all-you-care-to-eat deal (40 pieces per person at lunch for $17, as much as you want at dinner for $27.) Not every item on the order-by-the-piece menu is on the all you can eat menu, but they do serve a nice variety - more selections at dinner than at lunch, as you can imagine from the price difference. Is it the greatest sushi I've had? No, but it is very tasty and the $17 for lunch is a super deal. My sons and I used to go to Joy Sushi at least once a week if not more. That ended last night. One of my boys and I went and we both did the $30 AYCE. We ended up ordering just three sushi rolls but no more as my son started to not feel well (one of the rolls ordered was a vegetable roll). The majority of the three rolls were eaten but there were about 4 whole pieces left and some pieces that were partially eaten. I expected no blowback from this as waitstaff in the past had said that the surcharge for leftover sushi would only be enforced if we ordered a substantial amount and left it behind. When the server took my card to pay he said that they would be charging me an additional cost for the leftover sushi. I was more than shocked. We were already on the losing end of our decision to choose AYCE since we only ordered 3 rolls, and now they were going to charge us more??? I tried to reason with him with the fact that we did not take advantage of the ordering policy and also that we were frequent diners there. He replied,"if you come here that often, then you should know our policy". Sure enough, they tacked on an additional $12.50 for our 'egregious' non consumption of 4 pieces to our already inflated bill. Never again. read more

Ate here for the first time tonight. Well it was delivery but the order took almost two hours which wasn't the restaurants fault but the food just wasn't good. The $4.00 salad was a very small amount of shredded lettuce that probably cost about .$05 cents. The soup flavor wasn't very good and the sushi was super fishy. read more

I wanted to like this establishment more. We sat at the counter, right after the doors open. Behind a sushi counter there's an open kitchen. Not the most visually pleasing thing to look at. And you end up smelling like grease, even though they have very large Industrial extractors. I was surprised on how small the pieces of either nigiri oarfish and I was ordering from the regular menu not the all-you-can-eat. The service was hit-or-miss. If you're looking for a all-you-can-eat No Frills than this is your place. But if you're looking for a date night with some ambience you may want to try another establishment. Incredibly disappointing. we ordered a take out order via post mate with a special request for no sesame seeds. when we got home there were sesame seeds throughout the entire order. they refused to fix the order. I was wondering where you get fresh fish in Denver and was told they fly it in so I trusted and joined my coworkers for dinner. They have this all you can eat specials and my friends can eat. Everything was great. Rolls, sashimi, sushi all tasted not better or worse the places I've been to on the east coast. The only thing was kinda weird is the dynamite roll-- some scallops in mayonnaise casserole or something along those lines. The staff was friendly and fast even though we came in almost around closing time. And even though we knocked out a few drinks on the table. None of the servers or chefs were from Japan. My new go-to place for AYCE. The price is incredible for the quality of the sushi & fish available, and the service is really good and quick -- friends and I can go and stuff ourselves silly and still be back at the office in a little over an hour. The selection might not be the absolute most awesomest ever for AYCE (and there are some rolls that are only available for dinner and not lunch), but it certainly is extensive enough to satisfy a lot of people's tastes. My relationship with this establishment was very short lived, as the all-you-can-eat is especially limited. This is my 3rd time coming here and had someone explain that I was cut off in the middle of my second order. Counting a roll as 8 pieces of sushi, with a 40 piece maximum for the all-you-can eat menu, is simply unrealistic. I'll stick with Sushi Katsu, where it is actually all-you-can-eat.
