The noodles had so much flavor... the chicken was a tad over cooked but it really didn't matter they tasted so good! The chicken my boyfriend said was really good as well. First visit here, and I was pleasantly surprised by the super friendly waitress/owner(?). As soon as we walked in, she greeted us right away with a huge smile. Since it was lunch time, we ordered the chicken with eggplant and the chicken pumpkin curry. It was delicious. Especially the pumpkin curry with rice. While we were waiting for our food to be brought out, the kind lady gave us free hot and sour soup(?) on the house. I highly recommend this place if you are hungry and having a bad day. The food and atmosphere are unbeatable here. No matter that the server was clearly not where he wanted to be - he seemed horribly uncomfortable to the point where I would have been happier schlepping my own dishes to & from the kitchen. But who cares?? The lamb... the soup... the noms! I don't usually venture outside of my two favorites at any Thai joint - the Yellow Chicken Curry and the Tom Kha Gai soup. They're good everywhere - haven't met one yet I didn't demolish. But my other half convinced me to add a few new items to our huge table o'yum, so we also tried the drunken noodles, and the 2nd season lamb (? something along those lines at least - I blame the drunken noodles). Both were uh-mazing. So much so that stopping before we were painfully full was difficult. We managed though, and had plenty of leftovers for the two of us to gorge on the next night. We love Erwan. It provides a mellow atmosphere and great food. My husband I and I love eating there because I am vegetarian (he is not), but we can share dishes that both of us enjoy. We almost always get the red curry tofu and the spicy eggplant with tofu. I think that maybe they throw a little opium in the dishes in the kitchen - we always leave feeling warm and fuzzy. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Drinks are priced well. I think you can even bring in your own wine with no corkage. We moved to the Pocket last year and never stopped making the long drive over to Thai Palace, until now. This place is pretty solid. We've been here twice now and had the Chicken Garb salad (excellent) both times. Still exploring the menu, but so far haven't tasted a bad dish. The place seems pretty empty on weeknights, which is never a bad thing as long as the food is good. Service is aight and the food comes out pretty fast. The food was excellent. The atmosphere is casual and you can tell they put effort into the decor. I had the red curry beef which was a very good portion and the price was around $10 with rice. The friend I was with had the garlic pork which was excellent also. Highly recommend this place in Land Park. It kinda reminds me of this time I was in Bangkok for a wedding and the young man we were hanging out with ended up getting lost. This place was super close and had great reviews so I was hoping it would be as good as my old spot. It was getting late yesterday and my partner and I have a new baby so it's hard to eat out most of the time. But we thought we would take a shot after hearing this place was so good. We walked in and were greeted by a young women and sat, we put our orders in quick because the baby was fussy but we knew exactly what we wanted to try. Pad Thai, spicy eggplant, yellow curry, spring rolls, and Thai teas . when our food arrived (the appetizer first ) my partner and I were both passing the baby across the table just So we could eat and so he wouldn't cry . We were starving when the rest of the food came after we finished last dish came and a women came over (she must of been working in the back I'm Not sure if she was a owner or not ) but she came over all smiles and talking to our baby and saying how cute he was , she then asked if she could take the baby. And we both said yes , little did we know this women was going to take him off our hands so we could both eat while the food was hot. She was playing with our son and walking around showing him pictures and fish and other waitresses . They all played with our son so we could eat. It was the nicest thing that has ever happened to us , we were laughing and in awe with how much our son took to her and also how fun they were all having . I could not thank them Enough for what they did it seriously put me in tears just knowing that they were so gracious and nice and would do something like that for us. I work in hospitality as a manager so I know what it's like to care for the customers and this small act really made a HUGE impact on us. I have to say this was the best experience we have ever had eating out. Not to Mention everything we ordered was just perfect . I got the Thai spicy on the eggplant and it was just the perfect amount of spice. We will defiantly be returning the food was so good and the prices were reasonable too ! JP Thai Kitchen is standing out among all the Thai restaurants I have been to so far . In compared in Orchid, The Coconut and Tasty Thai, there's something about this JP's food that gave my the best impression and made me want to come back. We ordered chicken larb for my side of sticky rice, green curry with brown rice and crab fried rice. Everything is beyond my expectations and more, I would give you guys a 10 stars if I could. The larb was sweet sour and spicy just goes perfectly with the steaming chewy sticky rice. Green curry was by far the best curry I have tried. The combination of the creaminess of coconut milk, strong aroma of basil and the veggies in there somehow balanced everything out. I heard that the avocado green curry here is very good too which I will come back soon for. Crab fried rice is made of the real crab which smells so good when it just came out our table. Overall the perfect meal for the cold day in January . The service was great, the waitress was so sweet and charming when trying to give us good recommendations as we asked.
