I've been trying a few different nails shops to replace my old nail salon. I'm glad I decided to give this place another try. Sophia and Ruby completely redeemed it in my opinion and I'm not only extremely happy with how they turned out but the quality this time around. I think I may have found my new nail shop. It is a distance from me but with this level of service I'm willing to make the drive and both times I've been there the music playlist was on point. The entire place is really clean, even the spacious bathroom. Thank you Sophia and Ruby, I really appreciate you both and will see you soon.

UPDATE: Apparently the response to a customer questioning why they were quoted $45 and then charged $70 is to argue with them and tell them to "go up and read your messages again." So I did. Maybe management should do the same. I literally sent a PHOTO of the nails and asked, "are you guys able to do fills for these?" I was quoted $45. Now they're trying to say I "only asked for a fill" and never said French or flowers. Why would I send the picture then? Decoration? If the $45 was only for a basic fill and the design in the photo was an additional $25, SAY THAT when giving the quote. The funniest part is that the original FULL SET with the exact same design was $65, yet somehow the FILL ended up being $70. Make that make sense. So yes, I stand by my original review. Inconsistent pricing, poor communication, and an even worse response when a customer questions it. If you come here, apparently you need to ask for an itemized quote for every single line, flower, color, and detail in the picture you send them, because sending the actual reference photo and asking for a fill "for these" somehow isn't specific enough. lots of attitude update: After I left this review, they called me 4 times from 3 different numbers. At that point, I genuinely felt harassed over simply leaving a review about my experience. I texted asking why they kept calling me and they never responded. Repeatedly calling me from different numbers is excessive, weird, and completely unprofessional. The way they handled this afterward only made my original experience worse.

Alex did a GREAT job. He's so friendly as well and the quality of his work speaks volumes. He was also so careful with one of my broken nails. This is my favorite nail salon I've been to in vista so far!

Sofia is AMAZINGG! I recently just got a manicure done at another nail salon, and it was horrible and needed it off my nails asap. I called the same day and was able to get in with Sofia. I showed her an inspo pic and she did it within an hour and it looks soo good, exactly like the picture I showed. She worked with me to find out what would work best with my nails, and I really appreciated that. Her attention to detail is like no other, and she's so friendly I'm definitely going to be back to this place. Already can't wait for my next set. I absolutely love the cleanliness of the establishment and the friendliness of the staff. I first visited J's Nails sometime ago, ended up trying other nail shops, but immediately saw the difference and decided to come back. I have been a frequent client ever since. Phoebe has been my favorite nail technician ever since I met her. She takes pride in her work and ensures your time and outcome is what you expect them to be. It's an amazing feeling knowing all I have to do is sit back and Phoebe will take care of the rest. It's very rare that you find a person who you can trust and you look forward to seeing every two to three weeks. I definitely recommend scheduling your next nail appointment with Phoebe.

And not just one finger nail. About half of them came off 2 days after getting them done.

I really wanted to like this nail salon. I was looking for a place to do my nails regularly and since this place is very close to where I live, I thought I would give it a try. I have my nails always done and on point. I asked for dipping powder but at the end, they refused to cure my nails saying it's more shiny without curing. They didn't last 2 days. I'm very disappointed. It's not worth the 55$ for one day nails. I've seen a lot of different nail salons quality but this one is by far the worst. I regret losing that 55$ on nails that didn't last more than one day. I'm attaching pictures from day 2. See for yourself.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! They ruined my damn nails after I told them I have never had acrylic on my toes and forced me to try acrylic because I wanted GEL FRENCH TIP! I asked for a pedicure & they told me it was an additional fee on top of getting my toes done so they didn't even do a pedicure but charged me $55 for my pedicure that I hated! I wanted gel French tip & they told me it wouldn't look good because normally women get acrylic on their toes!!! Secondly, they were charging me 75 for my hands! The girl was trying to charge me $95 for basic French tip without design or diamonds! She ended up charging me $75 for my nails plus $10 for length when I didn't even get long nails!! In total I got scammed for $140 & I still tipped each girl $10 for work so in total I paid $160! They kept talking in their language & they'd stay constantly turning to look at me and my feet when they spoke non English! Worst salon ever! It's been since 2020 that I go back to a salon & they ruined my natural nails as you can see my big toe is naturally squared!!! What they did is unforgivable & should not be forcing customers acrylic on toes because they think gel french tips don't look good! It's not them wearing the nails!!!!! Horrible job & scam of money!!

Make your nail appointment today! J's Nails and Spa NEVER disappoint! I see them twice a month, sometimes three times and I am always satisfied with the quality and creativity they provide! They know how to BRING IT!

I have been going to J's Nails for over a year now & I have zero complaints. Sofia & ALL staff are so kind, friendly, & very talented in what they do! My last set I had done by Sofia lasted basically a MONTH! Saw her today to get my fall design nails done & they came out exactly how I wanted them. Thank you Sofia & all staff :)

I want to start off with the staff, they were very friendly and welcoming. This was my first time in. I had an appointment for an acrylic full set and saw great reviews online. I provided a picture of what I was hoping to get. I walked out with something much different but that wasn't my main concern. I walked out with extremely sore fingers/cuticles that were cut, sidewalls that were far over filed and gel polish already chipping after one hand wash. I'm hoping my fingers heal quickly and there isn't long term damage to my nail beds.

I couldn't get to Atlanta to visit my usual nail salon, but needed my nails done so I came to J's Nails. I got dip, but they didn't use the clear dip top coat. After less than 24 hours, two nails were cracked. I went back and they fixed it. On the two nails they fixed, she used the dip clear top coat. It was the same woman that originally did my nails. Less than 24 hours after she fixed the cracked nails, two different nails cracked. I have gotten dip for a couple of years now and have never had this issue. read more

Wanted to give this new salon a shot and I'm so happy I did! I rarely get my nails done, but I went to a highly rated salon before vacation and wasn't thrilled with the outcome, especially for the price. I decided to get my fill and a change up somewhere else and got exactly what I wanted at J's. I've been coming to Johnny for 4 years and since then, no one else has touched my nails. Him and his team are SO talented, sweet and friendly. His salon always has the best music and overall vibe. I literally can't say enough good things about his staff and company (bonus because it's a small business that Johnny built up himself). I've been seeing nothing but good things from Facebook. I follow Johnny on instagram and seen amazing nail art. He was all booked up today (Saturday) but told me to call in an appointment and someone else can do the design I wanted. I wasn't sure if someone could because the design looked challenging. Rubi did my design amazing! Super identical to the picture I showed her. The gel polish was super opaque and matched the examples. I recommend Rubi!! I just left this establishment and I'm an EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR LACK OF QUALITY IN REGARD TO THEIR SERVICE. I came to this place because a server at Oggi's told she had her nails done here and they did a good job. I'm sorely disappointed and will never patronize this establishment again. I had an appointment but arrived 10 minutes late due to traffic. I called beforehand to confirm if I was still able to come in and the lady on the phone stated "yes". When I arrived, they acted like they didn't know who I was even though I made an appointment with them in person and I had literally just called. One lady set up the spa chair for my pedicure and then another lady came over to hand me the colors. This should have been my first signal to leave. She handed me the typical stack of colors but didn't offer me any of the color books. She could see my nails had Perfect Match by Lechat but she never offered me any book with those colors. She asked about the length I wanted and I showed her an old picture. She asked me if I wanted the same color as the picture which I thought was strange since none of the colors she offered to me were that color scheme nor design (wish they had been but I digress). The nail tech doing my nails rushed through. She cut them crudely and was very rough with me. My thumb and index finger on my left hand are killing me She kept pulling my hand and fingers aggressively pushing them, pulling them, and turning my hand over. One of the nails she put on my thumb wasn't glued on right and she acted like she was mad at me for it not sticking...make it make sense. She continued to rush and when she applied the polish (sloppily) she acted like my nails looked nice. I had to call her out and ask her to add polish to the sides of my nails because you could see the acrylic and there was nail polish on my fingers (there is still some on the back of my fingers that she attempted to get off with a nail file ). My nails are thick, uneven, and ugly. Even my male cousin commented on them stating how crooked they were and how they were not up to par with my standards. He is absolutely correct. The nail tech doing my toes wasn't any better. I opted to get the Green Tea pedicure. Waste of money! For $72 dollars she massaged my legs for a couple of minutes, put wax on my feet (after the polish which is a No No!), barely scrubbed my heels ,and then quickly polished my nails. The water was hot as hell and she didn't add any cold water to balance out the temperature.It was so bad! The only reason this place receives 5 star ratings is because the owner has an Instagram (which is also on his business card) where he promotes his nail art. I will also say that the only happy patrons were the white people and the white aligned because that's who they seem to cater to while treating their black customers like pariahs. They want our money but don't treat us with respect. I paid and gave a tip only if only to maintain my safety because I have readily seen in the past how these owners and their workers behave if they don't receive a tip. Tips aren't required and they are added to reflect proper service. I didn't receive that at all but I also didn't want any problems leaving the salon or have a narrative painted that I went just for a free appointment. I'm so angry because I wasted money thinking I would be treated with respect and fairness but instead it was a cash grab by another salon pushing quantity over quality at least for those who look like me. I have an important event to attend tomorrow and my nails are embarrassing!When I left, the owner gave me a card with two stamps after I paid. I don't need any more stamps nor signs that this place sucks! I should have listened to the other one star review. Curiously enough, the girl (based on her hand) looks like she may be black as well. Go figure. Racism masked as nail techs in a rush to get your money and get you out. DON'T PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. GO ELSEWHERE. IF YOU NEED A RECOMMENDATION FOR A PLACE, I KNOW ONE AND THIS ISN'T IT. RUN! read more

This nail salon opened about 6 months ago and i have wanted to try it for a while. I went in a few weeks ago for a gel manicure and pedicure and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the salon and the fantastic service. Manicure still looks great after almost 3 weeks, the salon was clean and they use all freshly sterilized equipment, even the pedicure sponges! I will definitely be visiting again soon and will recommend J's Nails to my friends. read more

To start, the salon is so beautiful, it's so clean, and the staff is so friendly. I got my nails done by Johnny, and he did an amazing job. Out of all the salons I've been to this is by far my most favorite, not only is Johnny's attention to detail excellent but not once did I get hurt in the process. Fast, excellent, careful, and professional is how I would describe my experience. From now on, I'll only be getting my nails done here! read more

Found this nail salon via Instagram, I am very particular about my nails but from their profile it looked like they did nails exactly how I like and I wasn't wrong!! The salon is very clean and new and they have an amazing color/powder selection. Ruby is amazing at what she does, she is an absolute perfectionist! Highly recommend this nail salon! read more

If you want to look at your nails with a smile, you HAVE TO see my girl Sophia! I go to jays to get my gel nails done about every three weeks. Not only is sophia great at what she does, but she is always willing to be challenged and try something new. I'm so glad that I started going to jays nails especially because their pricing is super reasonable. Plus it's always a bonus that I get complimented on my nails. read more

typical chop shop i came in for a dip powder set. the girl was nice initially, but in a typical chop shop manner she started speeding thru my nails. she shaped them horribly, my thumb was at an acute angle. i told her it was crooked and she tried to gaslight me that my finger was crooked. i told her my nails were at that angle when i came in. the end result is nails all various lengths, annoying shorter then when i started. now over a week later, the dip power is cracking, the top coat is lifting!!! i paid $45 for a shitty service and the gall to stare at me for a tip at the end. she was using dirty tools! i asked her to clean her bits and she dipped it in some alcohol.... THESE TECHS ARENT LICENSED!! i dont have a license and i know they have to use barbicide. dont waste your money at this new shop. find a singular nail tech, bc these chop shops arent it!!!! read more

I had one of the best pedicures ever at J's nails today. I opted for the jelly pedicure and it was so relaxing. Amber was nice, attentive and gentle. This location is beautiful and there are so many colors/books of colors to choose from. The massage chairs are better than most. I highly recommend them and will be returning. Today, I called again specifically requesting Tara, and once again I was told that she does not do gel manicures and that if I wanted that service, I would need to book with someone else. I completely understand if the nail technician I want is unavailable at the time or on the day I'm requesting. That is not the issue. The problem is receiving conflicting information and feeling like my request for a specific technician is repeatedly being disregarded. This has happened before as well. I once requested a pedicure with Tara and was booked with someone else instead. The receptionist has also been rude, confused appointment times, and then blamed the clients for the confusion. It's extremely frustrating because when you find a nail technician whose work you love, you naturally want to continue booking with that person. Instead of simply being honest about Tara's availability, I have repeatedly been given inconsistent information or booked with someone else. Tara is wonderful and does excellent work. My review is not a reflection of her service at all. Unfortunately, the way appointments are handled at the front desk has made me no longer want to return to this salon
