I had a very old valve under the bathroom sink begin to leak as I was trying to replace the stem on the cold water. After trying to deal with the valve for some period of time I realized I did not have the tools to fix it. I made a couple of calls to other plumbers with no answers, until I called J'S Plumbing. Some one answered the phone I explained the issue I was having they were very courteous and said that they could have someone out in a couple of hours. This was also on a Saturday. Jeff Scott showed up during the agreed scheduled time, did a great job of replacing what was a 47 year old valve. I am a groomer and work in a small veterinary office. The owners hired J's plumbing to install my new grooming tub. When they arrived we realized all the plumbing to drain the tub was wrong (going up hill actualy) so they replaced all the draining pipes as well as installed a new faucet for my tub. I had a leaky outside hose spigot ... no emergency and I told the phone service rep that, but she assured me they could do the job that very afternoon. The plumber arrived when promised (very important to me), gave me a firm quote, and replaced the spigot in under a half hour. The old one was damaged and the pipes quite rusted, so I had been unable to do the task myself. Although he had to call in another aide to remove the old valve, there was no additional charge. Called Jeff at 8:15am and told him my problem. Kitchen sink would back up but flow down with time . He gave me a 3-5pm window and he around at 2:45pm since he's in Anahiem and I'm out in Whittier. He sounded easy to talk too and he is more so in person. When he arrived he and his partner got to work immediately and knew what they were doing, no fumbling around at all. They ran the cable in the first drain out and nothing and he recommended to perform a jet router and I said no thanks and only wanted the cable cleaning...then they opened the other drain out (my kitchen has two) which I had never noticed but probably seen a million times without thought. When he opened the second drain and removed the plug it was visibly noticeable that after 14 years from when my wife and I bought the house that years of whatever it was built up and need to be removed. This is where Jeff's honesty comes into play. Even though I had initially stated no to the jet clean he made his case and I could tell that a simple cable clean wouldn't work. He gave me his quote and I felt it was a fair and resonable price and that I could apply my Yelp deal to it and off they went doing a full jet clean that will last at least another 15 or 20 years again. When they finished they cleaned EVERYTHING up and washed everything down and away. Jeff even tilted the dirt that had all of the excess drainage. Put in the camera to check and finally wrote up a receipt with the details of what was down and the cost breakdown. Gave me a biz card, magnetic card which I will definately place on my fridge and a nice letter opener that works great. Thus I have to say that my experience with Jeff was awesome!!! I highly recommend him if you have patience in waiting for an honest and reliable plumber who is not trying to shove services that you don't need or want to pay for. So I will use him from now on as my "go to plumber" rather than the "smell good plumber" for all my future plumbing needs. Trust me, you won't regret it.
