Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and Mac & cheese

Went here for a late night dinner and it was delicious. I have never been to a place that offered gravy as a side for chicken strips, but now I am obsessed. Their chili was also very good. This was our first time headed out here, but if we are ever in the area we will definitely come back. Our waitress was very friendly.

First time in, been by 100 times at least, stopped in and so far two thumbs up . Will add more to this as time goes on. Very friendly staff, poor lady was doing it all herself.

We stopped in at 9:45 on May 25th. We sat at the bar to have one drink. As soon as we sat, the bartender indicated the kitchen was closed. We told him that was fine as we were only having one drink. He then proceeded to say "frankly we're about to close". As my photo shows the hours for Fridays are 11 am to 2 am. I completely understand bars close early if the place is dead. It was but there were a handful of other customers sitting at the bar. The bartender lost two potential customers last night and received the $0.30 tip he deserved.

    Beef sandwich with aus juice

I was referred to this place. I was disappointed in mu Luke warm sandwich which was supposed to beef with aus juice which was leaked all over the bottom of the bag. I ordered onion rings which were thrown in the same container with a pickle. So everything wad soggy and tasted like pickle. The beef tasted off . I took two bites and decided I didn't want to get sick. I don't feel a need to give this place a second visit. It was a waste of my $18.

I feel so lucky to be this close to a great local grill. Dropped in for lunch with my husband to find a cozy lunch and dinner restaurant with a fun hometown bar attached. Great friendly staff and fast service My husband ordered a cob salad that arrived with plenty leafy greens, Turkey, blue cheese, and fresh ingredients to cover the plate I ordered the BLT sandwich and splurged for tater tots that were hot and crunchy. The BLT was toasted to perfection, with fresh greens and plenty of bacon from a cook that obviously refused to be stingy. We followed it with two ice cold teas! ( it was lunch - no beer this time around) We will definitely return!!! Great job!

Walked in late to a KU game night and got a table in front of the big screen right away. Food was great and the beer was cold!

Is a simple place, with a good price food. The size of the plates worth what you're paying for! Not kidding.

There was a 'Happy Anniversary' card on our table signed by the staff, such a nice touch! Our waitress greeted us warmly and wished us happy anniversary and told us that for celebrating with them we'd receive a special dessert or a champagne toast. Another lovely surprise. We ordered cocktails and enjoyed their delicious bread service of freshly baked popovers. For dinner I had their Catch of the Day, Black Cod, wrapped in speck, served with saffron couscous. It could not have been more delicious. My husband enjoyed their Three Way Chicken, a dish so plentiful he took one piece home with him. We were both so pleased with our meals we didn't want to eat to excess, so our server offered to send our dessert home with us. The service, ambience and food were all wonderful. So glad we selected Silo as our place to celebrate!

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

The ancho woodfired chicken salad -- charred corn, black beans,…read morecotija, crisp tortilla strips, chipotle-honey vinaigrette -- had the right balance of smoky, sweet, and crunchy, and the chicken itself was cooked perfectly. The other standout was the raspberry coconut chicken: crispy coconut-breaded tenders draped in a raspberry coulis with toasted almonds on top, sitting over a creamy slaw. Sweet and savory done right, though heads up if you're dairy-sensitive -- that slaw is loaded. Portions are generous, flavors are bold without being over the top, and everything tasted made-to-order rather than assembly-line. Will definitely be back to work through the rest of the menu. Also, the service was outstanding and it was a really clean ambience so if you've never been here.

Eventually the get us seated in the main area. My wife ordered mashed potatoes and green beans as sides, and the mashed potatoes were cold. They took those back to fix, so we each tried some of her green beans. We both looked at each other in shock and said "These taste like fish!" Plus they were cold, so cold fish green beans. So when they brought out the warmed mashed potatoes we mentioned that, and they grabbed those to fix up, and asked us to check our steak. They were supposed to be medium, but were rare. So they took the steaks and my fries (the only thing edible so far). After 10 minutes the steaks were back, and looked good, along with a new order of the green beans, and we each got a replacement flame singed sliver of bread. So we taste the green beans, and now they taste like warm fish. So we got the manager again and I asked if they ever taste any of this stuff, and she didn't really know what to say. She said they'd take it off our bill, and we could have a free desert. Okay so back to the steaks, which were cooked right but too salty now. And that's when I realized they never brought back my fries. So we flag them down again, and eventually get the fries, which are good. The desert menu is a bunch of uninteresting goo, but we settle on something and get it to go. I pay the bill, tip 20%, and we get the heck out. Later we realize that they had accidentally added another steak entree to out order, then credited it off, just like the green beans and "free" desert, but their little machine calcutes the tip off the total before credits, so I actually payed a 50% tip. Unreal.
