Admittedly, Juan's isn't exactly in the best part of Fort Worth. But that doesn't mean it's not worth the drive for their incredible breakfast tacos. And make no mistake, their breakfast tacos are nothing short of incredible. This morning I had my first ever experience with Juan's. Prepping for a Coworker's going away party, I was tasked with picking up some tacos from Juan's Burrito Express. When I walked in I was greeted with a wonderful smell, a mixture of bacon, potatoes and beans. The man working the counter, who I'm going to assume runs the place, greeted me with a smile and had our order already prepped for us. The price was around $35 for 20 breakfast burritos. Let me assure you, this is more than a fair price. I brought them back to the office and waited around 30 minutes for all of my coworkers to shuttle in so we could begin eating. I was a little nervous about the burritos getting cold but I was relieved to see they were all wrapped in foil and still very warm when we were eating them. While the burritos were only a part of our breakfast buffet that included donuts, pigs in a blanket, fruit and etc., they were definitely what stole the show. I had three burritos, as I was eating later than usual and I was feeling like a real fat kid this morning. I had one bean and potato burrito, one sausage and egg burrito and one bean and potato burrito. The beans, potatoes, eggs and sausage all tasted very fresh and the tortillas were simply awesome. If it wasn't for my conscience reminding me that I'll have to workout even harder later, I probably would've sickeningly tried to eat another. While I can't vouch for anything other than the breakfast burritos, I can say that the place was full of people eating different dishes when I picked up the order. And they all seemed pretty happy/satisfied with what they were consuming. To wrap it up with a too long didn't read summary, I definitely recommend Juan's as the spot to get your breakfast grub. My only complaint is that the location isn't really all that convenient. But at the same time, I think it's the location that gives it the special little "hometown" feel that it has. read more

This is apparently the "express" neighborhood of Ft. Worth. Up the road is Italian Express, just an exit down from China Express, but here is Burrito Express. This is a dank-y place that I was questioning as I went in. The price was fine but I wasn't sure of what I was getting into. Sometimes I try new places thinking that I will have wasted a few bucks in the name of exploration. The food I got was surprisingly significant for what I paid. Great place when you're looking for authentic Mexican food that is locally owned. This place is just a few steps removed from a taco truck and that makes it awesome in my book. We've enjoyed the chicken & steak fajitas and the barbacoa is fantastic. Wouldn't say it is the best breakfast burrito I have had but the service is always good, the food comes fairly fast and the place is always clean. The meats for the breakfast burritos are always really good and so are the homemade tortillas; it is the potatoes that lower the score for me. They never seem to be done well; either their a little under cooked or a little over cooked. When I lived in Austin, TX I had this go to breakfast spot that I would go to for my breakfast tacos and when I moved back to Fort worth I was so sad for tons of reasons but one of those reasons was that I could no longer have those bomb ass breakfast burritos like the place in Austin. Pretty decent neighborhood Mexican breakfast. We were in the neighborhood and gave it a shot. I don't think it's worth driving from Arlington special but we lived nearby we'd probably go often. The migas were pretty decent, the potatoes pretty decent, beans were just ok. My hubby liked his menudo and tacos pretty well. Prices are standard for a good hole-in-the-wall. I don't know how often we'll be out this way at breakfast time but if you live nearby give it a shot. read more

Decent enough place--I remember it being better when my friend's dad would take us there after a sleepover when we were in high school 10+ years ago. The burritos are tasty, but not as big as I remembered and definitely more the size of a taco. I would have given four stars for the barbacoa itself--the best I've ever had, not much fat at all but with all the flavor you would expect. The problem with my visit was that I waited fifteen minutes in the morning on a weekday at 10 am (when most people are already at work) and wasn't even so much as offered a drink while I waited or chips and salsa. I have been going here for many years. It is a little more than a taqueria, little less than a Tex mex restaurant. The breakfast tacos are the best in S. Fort Worth. Both in flavor and value. Chorizo is really tasty and the tortillas are great! Lunch: barbacoa is by far the cleanest I have eaten, it is all meat. It is rich and flavorful but minimal fat. Tamales are good, pork in green sauce is good. Beans are better than most. Rice...rice is fine but if your goon ing because the rice is good then read another review. Horchata however is really tasty. Service is fast even though they take your order at the counter. Mas Abuelos cooking in the back. I will keep going. We just moved into the neighborhood in early fall and were so excited to find this place! A very small spot known for their breakfast burritos... I am actually a fan of their menudo! Their menudo is the perfect amount of spice, perfect amount of hominy and the tripe is the perfect amount of... chewiness. They must cook it for a long time! My husband loves the breakfast burritos --- chorizo and egg is his favorite. It's not as greasy as other breakfast burrito spots! And don't forget to wash it down with an ice cold Mexican Coke! I have been coming here for years and wanted to leave a great review! We don't live too far from the restaurant but it is definitely one of mine and my husband's favorite. All meals look and taste like good home cooked Mexican meals. I usually order the migas without eggs and it usually hits the spot every single time. The restaurant itself is very clean too! I grew up in the area and this is always the spot for a good Mexican breakfast on a Sunday morning.

I picked this place based on both Yelp reviews and location - it is close enough to the office that I can get over there and back quickly. There is nothing fancy about Juan's. It's located in a strip mall near a Dollar General (or Dollar Store... not entirely sure which). It isn't too big inside, though I have not had a hard time finding a seat yet in my three visits. There are also a few tables outside if you don't mind eating in hundred degree temperature. Over my three visits, I've ordered a handful of "burritos." I use quotes because I am not entirely sure what is different from a Juan's normal-sized burrito and a taco. They use flour tortillas and I don't think had cilantro and onion... perhaps that is the difference. The regular burritos are sized and priced like tacos at other taquerias. They do offer super-sized burritos, but I have not ordered one yet. The egg and chorizo burrito is delicious and comes out piping hot. Really good flavor in the chorizo. The barbacoa burrito is excellent, with a very large helping of meat. The al pastor is also quite good. I also ordered a side of frijoles a couple of the times - those had great flavor. I am new to the area, so my comparisons are few so far. That being said, I have enjoyed Juan's enough to go three times in about 10 days here (again, close to work). The employees are friendly, the food comes out fast and seems fresh and the food has been good. In a house-hunting trip, I ate at a couple different hole-in-the-wall taco joints and I think Juan's is definitely better than either of those were. read more

Don't get the queso! It's canned 'nacho' cheese. So weird. The tortillas are not homemade, the beans and rice are bland. Our breakfast tacos were just okay.
