Gotta hand it to this place; every time I stop by here they are never busy but they must be doing something right to outlast some of the other businesses that have dropped out over the years (Boston Market, TOGO's, and Papaya Bay I'm looking at you). Yes, Juice It Up! Started after Jamba Juice so it is somewhat of a clone of sorts, but who really cares? I know I don't. In all honesty, I prefer Juice It Up! over Jamba Juice anyway. Others must feel the same as there are plenty of locations scattered throughout the IE and there are two JIU! locations to JJ's one in Redlands alone. They offer some food items like oatmeal and such, but I don't come here for that. I'm all about their smoothies (and they also offer "raw juice"). They offer several different kinds w/ my all time favorite being their Melon Madness. All of the smoothies I have tried have been refreshing, although personally I wasn't a big fan of the lemonade one as I found it too tart. Each smoothie comes w/ a free boost shot (immunizer, fat burner, etc.) and they charge extra if you want more. One seems fine imo. Service has not been very negative or positive here for me. They take your order and then make it for you. Pretty basic; neither anything bad or outstanding in the customer service aspect. Once the gal behind the counter gave me the wrong amount of change back, but mistakes happen and I'm not citing them for that. All in all, this Juice It Up! doesn't do anything above and beyond or horribly wrong, and that's alright. Their smoothies are quite tasty and I'll be back for those. This location goes above and beyond. I needed a large quantity of smoothies (around 130) in a short span of time (3 days) and this location was able to do it. Not only did Tony deliver them earlier than expected, but him and his daughter stayed around to help serve the drinks when I had only expected them to drop the drinks off. They wanted to make sure that people knew what was in the different smoothies, which I really appreciated. I had called other Juice it Up! locations and this location was the only one that was able to accommodate for the large order. Had a bad experience here last week. My son dropped his smoothie and the owner looked upset. I apologized and tried to clean it up. I feel as an owner you deal with all kinds of people. Ordered a couple bowls (via DoorDash) and they were not as I was expecting! The toppings were not correct, and they used frozen blueberries as the toppings. They should really list that as I hate frozen fruit! It seemed that the pictures have fresh blueberries, not sure what happened there! Also, the strawberry they used was old and tasted bad! I just have to share what a spectacular customer service experience I had this past Saturday here at this particular Juice It Up. My boyfriend had purchased a Groupon for Juice It Up, and while it said participating locations, we had no idea it would be so hard to find a location that would honor the Groupon. After visiting two locations and being told they only accept the Juice It Up App, I was very frustrated with those locations and Groupon. We were in Redlands and decided to try this location, hoping for a different experience. We had no idea how different it would be! We walked in and it was clear that the energy was very jovial and pleasant. There were a couple of young girls behind the counter that we could see and a family sitting at a nearby table. We asked the young girl who greeted us if they accepted Groupons. She peered around us and asked her Mom, who was sitting at the table with the family. She said they did not and so we thanked them and started back out the door, now becoming a familiar routine. We had to walk down the hallway and about 10 feet from the door, a gentleman called to us and asked if he could speak with us for just a moment. He explained that he and his family had just taken over ownership of that particular location. They were in the process of trying to accommodate guests who have different apps. While he explained that he and his wife use Groupon also, he was not familiar with the particular Groupon that we had purchased. We told him that it was a Groupon that we paid an amount for, and for that amount, we would receive five separate five dollars off a smoothie. They could not be used all at once or even on the same day at different locations. You could only use one a day. He told us he would go one better and give us a "Buy One Get One Free" deal. He let me know that we should load the app so that we could accrue points and invited us back in to take him up on his offer. We went in and ordered two large smoothies, of which we paid for just one and the other was free. They were quick and the smoothies were delicious. It was what we were in the mood for and I have to tell you that I was impressed by his attitude and eagerness to win a customer over. I let them know that we would visit them whenever we were in Redlands. The owners names are Tony and Naomi. They were very friendly and certainly know what outstanding customer service means! I would give just half a star if I could. Went in today for my lunch to get a quick acai bowl. Went in and they didn't greet me. The guy just sat at the register looking at me. So I asked him how he was and made my order. He randomly told me that there were no strawberries included in the bowl. That was weird... But I asked for the granola on the side and he just stared at me. And asked how I wanted that. I explained that I was taking it to go. Didn't want it to get soggy. Didn't think hat was such a problem. So he grabbed the other lady working there and they were both discussing the issue murmuring.
