The Juice Press Blue Magic smoothie is always solid. I've never been disappointed with it at any location. But lately I've been going out of my way to get it from this location because there is the nicest employee ever who works here. I believe his name tag says Gregory. He is so friendly and he's such a hard worker, he just makes my day! He makes the whole experience worth going a few blocks out of my way. I love juice press - all of their products and juices and smoothies. But sometimes this location just does not have it together. There were only four people in there waiting for their orders and 3 people working there and it took sooo long. I know they blend their smoothies and juices fresh but sometimes depending on the day and the workers, it is so slow. And I've gone with promotional emails I've received and the workers had no knowledge of the said promo that was currently going on and struggled to input it in the cash register. I ordered matcha latte and it took over 5 minutes. I could tell the people next to me waiting for their drinks were getting impatient as well. Two stars are going towards liking everything I've ordered. From their acai bowl to blue magic smoothie to their ginger fireball immune booster and even their snacks like their truffle popcorn. read more

Had to stop by here while I was in New York just after visiting the Empire State Building. I really wanted to see what all the hype was about but altogether I wasn't that amazed. I got a green veggie juice and though the juice did taste fresh, it wasn't to my liking. Had waaay too much lime that made it kinda really sour. I like that the drinks here aren't overly sweet and taste very natural and clean. However, I don't think that juice was worth the $8. What a dump. I came here for a smoothie at 4:42pm today and the revolving door was locked. I went through the other and there was only one employee. All the fridges were empty, and I was told I would have to wait to order anything. This is nyc people. Best juice shop in town - the juice / food is amazing (more below) but really the reason you should visit is the manager Gregory! Gregory is always super friendly and in a good mood so if you're feeling a bit down, stressed, or whatever he will pick you up and of course a cleansing juice also helps. I go pretty much every morning and end up staying sometimes for hours working on my phone, people watching, and talking to Gregory. It is really nice to step in from the hustle and bustle of NYC and relax for a bit - there is always nice music playing and no smell like some other juice shops. Now about the food: they got amazing and healthy waters, juices, smoothies, bowls, and snacks - everything you could want and great variety! Some days I want something really light so I get an activated charcoal water or ginger turmeric juice. Other days I want something a little heavier so I get a smoothie. And some days I want a healthy snack like dried fruit and they got that too. They also have a lot more including bowls so you should definitely stop by. read more

They're lucky there aren't better smoothie places close to my office. The smoothies take forever to make and they are overpriced ($10 for a 16oz smoothie). The workers are sometimes rude and they are definitely taking their time. They make and deliver the smoothies out of order (the guy that ordered minutes after me got his smoothie before me). They should do better or another smoothie place should open up and put them out of business. On the bright side, I always get the clean green protein and it tastes good. read more

Was able to figure out what I wanted based on my vague descriptions on "something sweet but not too sweet" and custom make me a delicious post workout protein shake. I'm so sad to see some of the 1-star reviews on here as my experiences have always been nothing but positive. Attentive, friendly employees and always a consistent product. (I utilize MealPal for my smoothie orders and they're always ready to go whenever I arrive!) A big shout-out to Haely and Gregory as well: when I was grabbing my smoothie, they were speaking to a customer who appeared to be a regular and the rapport they had with him was so refreshing. I come to this location often to get my morning smoothie and sometimes at lunch to grab a soup when I'm in a rush. The quality of their food is decent, enough for me to come fairly often. My issue is with THIS location. Why is the staff so cranky? There's only one guy I like and he used to be the cashier in the morning, but now he's always in the back by the blender. He's the nicest one there. Everyone else seems miserable, especially the morning cashier who has NEVER smiled, ever. I say this because I have worked in customer services and know exactly how the job works... 75% of it is presentation! New Manager makes all the difference. I work in the Empire State Building, so the location is super convenient. The smoothies and bowls have always been delicious, but the service was always lacking. I haven't been here in over a year and now I remember why. I wanted something light so decided I'd grab a smoothie for lunch. I check out the menu online first. I arrive at the store and the menu is different...that's fine. 3 people standing in the back and no one comes to the register until several more customers walk in the door and are waiting behind me. The girl that comes to the register doesn't greet me just kind of looks at me like "you know what to do." So I order the blueberry smoothie. She takes my payment, no receipt offered or given. She then walks over the a refrigerator and hands me a smoothie that was pre-made. Not a huge deal because I assume maybe they make ahead some of the popular smoothies and have them ready during lunch. She asks what my name is and I tell her then she calls my name as if I wasn't standing right there and hands me the smoothie. I walk back to my office thinking the smoothie definitely tastes like it has almond butter and cinnamon in it. I look at the menu and it's a chocolate keto smoothie? Not even close to what I ordered. I can see how if you're making smoothies to order they might get mixed up but if you're just grabbing it out of a fridge you should get the right one. Threw the $11 smoothie in the trash. normally i really like juice press (i go to the one on 63rd) but i went to this location today because it's near my office. service was fine, but almost everything was gone from the pre-made refrigerator and the green light smoothie i ordered definitely doesn't taste as good as it normally does. it is too thick, has a different taste, and has chunks in it that weren't blended properly. i wont go back to this location. read more
