I love this spot! I regularly have lots of veggies in my diet but due to the conference there weren't a lot of healthy options. I was in this weekend and was starting to feel blah. But a friend told me about this place so I figured I'd check them out. They are mostly organic and locally owned. Which is great since I love supporting local businesses. First day I got the green religion. A juice with a bunch of greens along with ginger. They aren't stingy with the ginger! The next day I tried the rainbow Cobb salad tossed and it was amazing. You don't even need to add any extra chicken/tofu from all the protein the bowl already provides. (Egg, bacon) The only downfall is that this restaurant is very hard to find. But once you find it, you'll see it's a gem in hiding. read more

This place rocks. Every time I go there I am amazed at the food and the healthy options. I have been wondering where there is healthy food downtown for business people! The food and drinks are really good and they have an amazing breakfast. Try their oat balls, those things are like drugs. It's like a healthier cliff bar or something! So so good. The price isn't too bad either. They have everything you would want as a healthy person. Everything is made from scratch. For me it's worth the price for the quality of food. Good place to come with your co-workers, bosses, friends whatever. Plus, if you are a single guy this is an amazing spot. EVERY chic that works there is gorgeous. One time I heard a guy say. "if I were single I would just hang out at the counter all day pretending I was waiting for my drink!" I was super excited to find a gluten free dairy free option in the neighborhood where I work. The menu looked incredible. I had the mango cury bowl with salmon. I was shocked when they pulled it out of a microwave. For as fresh as they claim to be, this seemed counter-intuitive. I'm pretty much anti-microwave and considered returning the product but I had ten minutes to get back to work and nothing for lunch. So I just took it and headed back to work. I opened the container and it was beautiful. The beauty was short lived. The salmon tasted like it had just come out of a tin of smoked salmon, and if there was any mango in this dish I didn't taste it. It was bland to say the least. I expected it to at least resemble mango. The fresh vegies after being nuked lack flavor and snap. The dish over all was dull and flat. I may give Juicy Cafe another try, but after reading similar reviews here - I may not. read more

I fly alot for work and also get a workout in all the time so I'm always on the hunt for a delicious after workout and pre work out snack/meal. Their menu looked so good and fresh I decided to put in the extra work and start my walk after a hard core workout. Google maps was taking me in circles so I decided to call and it's located inside the Convention Center, 2nd floor. Great smoothies that you can completely customize from a HUGE list of items. They even put in some stuff I brought in myself that they didn't offer. The food is OK but not great. I had a sandwich once that I hated, but the Brown Rice bowls are really good especially if you pick what you want in it. Staff is very friendly and this place is very convenient to Gold's. Gotta say, I wasn't impressed with this place. Got a chicken pesto bowl and was pretty excited based on the reviews, but it was a small box of semi-soggy veggies in sauce, bland chicken and rice. Wasn't very good taste-wise and definitely not worth the price. If I come back I'll get something else but that definitely was a disappointment. It was all slapped together and messy. I was recently in Seattle for a conference and was very pleasantly surprised to find healthy (!!) food in the convention center! Over the two days I was at the conference, I got an açaí bowl, the warm ginger peanut bowl, and a cold + flu buster juice. Everything was freshly made and delicious, and healthy enough to make me feel like I was (almost) making up for all the trash I ate during the rest of my visit. Great smoothies, if you can find it! Went searching for this place after a recommendation from a friend. Found it tucked way in the back on the second floor of the convention center. Despite the mediocre location, I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh ingredients and extensive smoothie menu. Be aware of their business hours. They close around six or whenever it seems they are slow. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and all ingredients were packed away...but the owner made me a smoothie anyway from what was still out. Located in the Washington State Convention center, the cafe gets pretty busy during lunch hours, however their customer service is always efficient and friendly. They have a big chart of smoothies and drinks with the option of adding protein or fiber powders, but I love how they the option to customize your own drink with many varieties in fruits that are in season. If you just want a straightforward drink, they also offer bottled commercial beverages or other options such as fresh squeezed orange juice or real coconut juice. Im glad I gave this place a second shot. First time I ordered a brown rice bowl, I think it was called Sunny or Hawaiian, the pineapple and whatever sauce + veggies that were in it did not go well together and I ended up tossing the whole thing. I thought i would give this place a second shot b/c i always see so many people in line during lunch and I was craving a big crunchy healthy lunch. I had a green smoothie (asked for w/o the whey protein which was no problem) and Buddha bowl..it hit my health nut spot. I can't eat rice /grains so I usually end up getting a salad. I do like salads but sometimes I just want meat & vegetables. They happily made me a bowl with no rice or quinoa. Love this place soooo much! It was my first time yesterday and being a first timer, I was overwhelmed about the many things they had on their menu and not knowing what was good. Juicy Cafe is a great lunch option in the Downtown area, especially when I am watching what I eat (no gluten/dairy or meat when I am being good!) I typically get the Happy Buddha bowl with tofu and it is delicious. I love the mix of greens and grains. The sauce is great (I think it's like a lemon/tahini sauce?) but my favorite part is the tofu. I could seriously live off of their tofu, it has the perfect texture and flavor. I wish I knew what it was! When I am really hungry, I finish the entire meal, but for me it's plenty of food and sometimes I don't finish all of my rice! I've gotten a juice before, but I can't remember which one. I know it was good and would be a great meal replacement option! I'm thinking about trying one of their juice cleanses. Juicy is one of the best lunch options for downtown workers. I have been going there 2 times a week or more for the last 2 years. I was doing the Jenny Craig diet for awhile, but I have transitioned to Juicy. Now I am able to get very tasty, low cal lunches that are fresher and much more satisfying than prepared food. Also, I do not agree with the negative comments about their service. Yes, if you go at 12 and there is a convention going on, you may have to wait about about 15 minutes tops. read more

I am editing this review after the owner contacted me in response to my review. She definitely cares that her customers have a good experience there. It meant a lot that she reached out. Also, she spoke to the gal who we had bad experiences with, and since then, she's seemed to change her attitude. Happy to change the review, especially because the food is really good and healthy! This could easily be 5 stars because the food is delicious and healthy. I'm removing 2 stars because of recent experiences there. So, you order and pick up food like at a fast food restaurant. No tables / service. A gal who is always there literally looks at receipts to see if you tip. A colleague of mine and I work in Two Union next door, and have tested our hypothesis over a dozen times: the gal looks at receipts and if you tip, she makes your food good and if not, she does a crappy job. No tip = small portions, no dressing, etc. I haven't gotten a smoothie there, but my colleague said she made a smoothie wrong for someone else, and when she made hers, she dumped the made-wrong smoothie in a blender with kale and gave it to her! And it's like 7 bucks! I tip now and my food is always good. It's ridiculous when they make $15/hr minimum and there is so service to tip!!! You pick up your own food like at McDonalds! read more

After eating an american portioned meal yesterday for mothers day I felt I would be down for the count if I ate anything greasy for lunch today. I looked for a local smoothie shop, read some reviews, and off I went. Juice It is definitely tucked away in the corner. I nabbed a Jeff's Amazing 16 oz smoothie which keeps in my "if I don't bring my lunch I have to keep it under 6 dollars" lunch budget. I can definitely taste the added protein but the smoothie was overall pretty tasty. I was concerned I wouldn't get full. I was wrong. I feel comfortable. This is good. I was impressed with the staff. I juice on my own 3-4xs a week at home and super picky about juice, but when I need a good juice during the day Juicy does great ones that are comparable to juicing on your own. So, my office building has a delivery system called Peach set up, and this restaurant was one of the delivery options for today. I ordered the Rainbow Cobb for delivery. I won't talk about the delivery and how late that was, because that is beyond their control. I will, however talk about the item that I ordered. It was priced at $10.49. The first thing I noticed was that the box that it came in was extremely small. For a salad that was over $10, it was literally the smallest salad I've ever had in downtown Seattle. This was a side salad AT BEST. There was no flavor to the ranch, and while in the picture, the eggs are sliced, they were diced up and thrown in the box. Lastly, it came with brown rice. I've had brown rice for years, and prefer it over white rice. This brown rice was so undercooked, it tasted more like it was on the raw side than the cooked side. I tried to eat through it, but I ended up tossing the vast majority of the salad, because it was horrible. read more
