I have been eye-ing Juicy Cafe since I first walked by it on my morning stroll through the convention center for work. I had peeped at their menu online and it seemed like fresh and honest food. Today I was strolling by and felt my stomach rumble and decided it was finally the day to try Juicy Cafe! I ordered the Cheeky Peanut Ginger Bowl on mixed greens and added tofu. It was about $10 and the food was ready in just a couple minutes, impressive! I was handed a big to go box that was quite heavy. When I opened it at my desk the delicious aromas of a ginger-heavy peanut sauce filled my nose. A generous amount of a saucy stew on chickpeas, vegetables, tofu and peanuts sat atop a mixed green salad. At first I thought it was strange that they were served on cold greens since it was warm food, but it was amazing! The sauce was to die for and it was very filing for the price. This place frustrates me to no end. I work right next door, so it is very conveniently located. When the food is good, it's very good! But it is so inconsistent! Sometimes you will get way too much sauce, sometimes not enough, sometimes the vegetables are on their way to bad and leave that tingling feeling on your tongue. I appreciate the fresh aspect... but I hate spending $11 on a meal only to be left disappointed. Also, the staff could be a little bit more friendly. I used to eat here regularly and enjoyed everything I ordered from juices to food. The staff was very nice about 70% of the time. Today I give it a one star because I ordered the Marvelous Mary and the Italian Pesto (my regular to go) and now my stomach is in pain. I have an iron stomach so I know something must have been really bad. I threw my expensive food away. Also, the last time I ordered the Chili, the meat was obviously bad and I had to throw it out after one bite. I never received a call back or a single "sorry" from the person who answered the phone. I've never ordered a smoothie from Juice It (not a big fan of smoothies), but I love their brown rice bowls for lunch...especially the thai curry and thai peanut...both with chicken. It's healthy and I feel like I've eaten a week's worth of fresh veggies in just one serving! read more

Juice It is delicious. A lot of the smoothie places take some kind of nasty ground up powder that has a bunch of chemicals and preservatives and crap along with the protein/vitamins and then mix it with old clearance fruit and ice to produce a concoction that's drinkable when you're exhausted/sweaty but hardly worthwhile. This place has legit real fruit/food, vegan snacks and friendly staff. Only thing that'd make it better would be making it 100% organic, but it's still miles better than any of the other nearby competitors. read more

Freshly squeezed juices right in front of your eyes! I'm not exactly sure which one Adorables bought for me but there was ginger, apple, cayenne pepper, and pineapple (swapped it to grapefruit because I'm allergic to pineapple). A 20oz drink is $7.95 with applicable taxes. This drink is supposed to be good for cold and flu, as well as strengthening the immune system! We were outside most of the day in the chilly (but sunny) spring weather so it sounded super suitable! My first thought was "it burns going down" :( super spicy from the ginger and pepper that was further exacerbated by the tart grapefruit :'( after a few more sips we decided to go back and see if they could make it less spicy. They were so nice! He remade the drink with more apple and it was so delicious and refreshing!! I feel bad wasting the first drink, but the second drink was definitely much better. A bit on the pricey side but considering its the convention centre and fresh fruits/ingredients, I felt it was worth! read more

I was downtown for the women's march, wanted to find a healthy spot to eat. I found juicy Café online so I hunted them out. (Hard to find, inside the convention center) I had to call to figure out where they were after 40 minutes looking. After I found them, I needed a recommendation so I was talked through the entire menu with the girl working the front desk. I decided on the warm ginger peanut bowl with chicken. I wish I could give it a higher rating but can't imagine giving them a 4 or 5 star. I do love their drinks and snacks that they have there (love their rice bowls) but its really quite expensive (i wish i could go there every day though) but wow, what knocked it down was the service. I went there in the morning with a friend where it was pretty slow, only 2 other people and we gave the cashier our order (she had blond hair) and she rang us up together (yes, we came together but you shouldn't assume) and so we told her to split and she did this huge huff and puff, rolled her eyes and seemed annoyed. If you don't like what you're going, LEAVE! geez, and its not our fault you assumed. She really left a horrible taste in my mouth (even though my juicy was delicious). read more

Tried this place because it was close to my hotel. The smoothies were not the best. Still, it was close and convenient. The 3rd day I was in town I went there again. Despite the fact that they were supposed to be open, they were not. There were people inside, so I knocked. They seemed annoyed and barely acknowledged me. This place is a perfect example of what happens when you allow self-centered, petulant children to run a business. Whoever actually owns this place needs to clean house - the girls who work there were clearly hired for their looks and while that mix of shitty attitude and eye make up might work for a trashy dive bar, it's not real cute in the light of day. My girlfriend has a deathly nut allergy which a clearly posted sign informs patrons they should report to the staff when ordering. But really, why should you bother since the staff won't even bother to clean out a blender to accommodate the potentially fatal reaction that might result from cross contamination. Moreover, when you bring it to their attention they'll treat you in a patronizing manner and then give you a small juice when you originally ordered a large and then lie to you saying "oh that's actually the same price as what you originally ordered." Great customer service ladies. Oh, and just as an afterthought, it wouldn't hurt to turn down the blaring Mariah Carey so you can actually hear the customers when they're trying to tell you they have a potentially fatal allergy. The decibel level of that shit was verging on audio-induced castration. Move all those substandard employees to bar-backing a nightclub of the week and they might work out, but keep them out of anything that demands a modicum of responsibility or customer service, please. read more

I'm hoping perhaps it was a fluke, as they weren't terribly busy (and the two girls that ordered after me got theirs first even though mine was a simple standard drink). Love this place! Great heathy options, most gluten-free. It's just a small spot on the 2nd floor of the convention center, but there's a very nice seating area. Service is friendly and quick. Bowls are terrific and can be customized. The "balls" which are like cookie dough, are a good treat on the relatively healthy side. read more

Hot Damn!!! I just had lunch at Juice It, and it was fantastic! I picked up a K.Sizzle smoothie and a Tzatziki Brown Rice Bowl w/ tofu. The bowl had a nicely balanced portion of rice/tofu/fresh vegetables/and sauce. The also have fresh juices, yum smoothies, cookies, soups. Whenever I need a pick me up I come here!!!! The girls are the most friendliest staff, genuine, helpful and kind! I can count on a true recommendation of what to get and I am always greeted with a smile. Sometimes I'll just say "my tummy isn't feeling that great, I need some greens, I want to detox or I need a pick me up what do you recommend?" And they genuinely help me! This place is amazing! If you're looking to grab a quick lunch that is super healthy but tastes absolutely amazing, this is the place to go! One of my favorite lunch spots not only in downtown, but in all of Seattle! The owner is such a wonderful and sweet lady, she couldn't be more lovely. Hands-down, the Fast Eddy smoothie is the best drink I've ever had! So refreshing and delicious - you will feel *great* after drinking one of these. I could easily drink 2-3 of these a day! Great combination of cold pressed fresh juices blended with some other fruits & vegetables - makes for an amazing combination & texture (not too super thick like some juice places, but not just pure liquid like a fresh juice). The only drawback is the weird location....given the crowds it goes to show they're doing something right. Gotta wonder when the next location opens up. Tucked into a corridor of the Convention Center, this juice bar is one of the best places for lunch downtown. They have soup, sandwiches and 10 or so rice bowls (brown rice, veggies, chicken/tofu/tuna). The bowls have organic brown rice, generous portions and reasonable prices. It's also nice to be able to order any of them vegetarian. Occasionally, the quality is a little spotty but it's mostly very good. I think word about this place is starting to get out. There used to be just a handful of people there when I started going a few months ago. Now there seems to be a line around noon every day. read more

Not bad. Nice to have a healthy option at PAX West. Fast food. Everything I had (2 salads & 3 smoothies) was a bit bland in flavor, but at least it felt light & tasted fresh. I think they water down their smoothies with ice... and don't use ripe bananas. Just lacking in substance. I also had one of their granola balls. Again, not bad. But it was supposed to be strawberry, but it was packed with chocolate chips & I couldn't taste a hint of strawberry. Cool if you love chocolate, but I was hoping for something fruitier. Not bad. Was excited to try the well-reviewed Café. It's tough to find. I tried the avocado toast as advertised on the welcome board. It was just below average; weak toast, not mashed avocado (though advertised), and sprinkled with sunflower seeds on spinach. Description sounded much better than the presentation. Juice It is a great place for those who like it RAW. Raw fruits, nuts and veggies are in almost every menu item, and in great combinations. They are fast, friendly, and affordable. My favorite sandwich (chicken curry) or salad (Greek) can sustain me for the entire afternoon. You could order a different juice or smoothie every day for weeks, and they use compostable cups! Dreamy! I would give them five stars but for one reason: consistency. Every so often I'll order something for the umpteenth time, and it will be almost inedible. Not sure if this is because of a certain less-than-attentive employee or what, but it's always a huge bummer. But, like any true-love, I'll give Juice It endless second chances.
