We came in at 1:15 pm on a Tuesday party of three. It took 15 minutes for out waitress to take our order. Another 20 to get our food....this would be ok if the place was busy but it was empty! When our food arrived it was incorrect , wrong sandwich no fries.one of us had to sit and wait as the rest chowed down. To top it off we got the wrong check at the end!!!! Solid 4-4 1/2 stars. Right now, I'll give a radio edit review since I don't care to repeat what has already been said. 1. VERY friendly staff. Unfortunately for me, no doughnuts that day (I guess since my breakfast was ala carte- not a deal breaker for me). 2. Portions are unreal. When I walked in, I noticed a guy with an INSANELY LARGE meatloaf plate (or so I think it was anyway). 3. My meal was very good (I had the biscuits and gravy w/ sausage links (also LARGE compared to other places. 4. Friend was pleased with the double decker roast beef and cheddar sandwich. While they preferred to not have it toast, it was still very good. 5. One word seems to fit when it relates to portions- LARGE!!! From what I saw, if you leave there hungry, one of 2 things are true. One, you have a huge appetite. Two, that's on you. 6. My order was done in about 15-20 minutes and was given that expectation. 7. One suggestion. I wish they would consider creating a "build your own" plate based off the ala carte selections. For example, take what I ate (biscuits and gravy w/ sausage) and add Jimmy's Potatoes. Sadly, this place is not turning out great food. They clearly have the capacity to do so. But, why would anyone put minced ham in an omlette unless it's too old, or worse, leftovers. My ham and American cheese omlette was a letdown with that minced ham. And, the wheat toast was like store bought loaf quality. The potatoes were not crisp and too oily. Worst of all, my ham & cheese omlette with dry toast cost over $13. Next time I will drive 5 more minutes to the Baked Apple, where all the ingredients and final product are better for $9. read more

This is just horrible. I'm an advocate for good management and good service. Today what I experienced was the Manager being extremely rude, not only to the staff but also courier service(Uber Eats) that came in as well. I just paid for the worst breakfast I have had in a while. I'm not sure why they have wait staff because the bus boys and cooks did everything except take our order. The waitress did deliver some donuts we didn't order but I am sure we paid for. My wife ordered bacon crisp and it was under cooked. My sausage links we're still pink on the inside. We ordered grits that came out so cold they were not able to melt the butter we put on top. Pancakes were delivered late because they were still being cooked but when they arrived were also cold. My mom and went this morning and she had coffee, I had ice tea as our drinks with lunch .Our waitress actualy sent us out with "takeout drinks" for home. 5 stars. I really like this joint. Used to have bfast here with friends every Sunday before church, then we had kids... oh well. But, we still frequent the joint for breakfast some weekends. For the past three years or so, our sever, Daniella, has been taking exceptional care of us. Now, when I walk in, the hostesses immediately start looking for a table in her section because they know where we wanna be. So, the food.... awesome (mostly). Omelets are huge and served with potatoes and a large side of pancakes (either Jimmys or hash browns). I always choose the hash browns, but that's just cuz I love hash browns. My hubby and I will sometimes just order the omelet and split it. I'm not a juge fan of pancakes (unless they are super buttery and crispy on the edges) and he doesn't like eggs. So, he eats the cakes and I eat the omelet. A marriage made in heaven, right? Although this is a breakfast restaurant, they have great lunch items. The sliders are juicy and delicious. And, every lunch item comes with soup. The chicken and rice soup is NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING. All of the above is great, but the best part of Juicy-O is the freshly, fried DOUGHNUTS!!!!!! I came in for a smoothie and the woman working the front desk was very accommodating to my request to personalize my drink! The owner even came over and poured the remaining smoothie into a glass so that I could have more of what fit into the cup. I thought it was a very nice gesture and the smoothie tastes delicious!! There are a lot of breakfast places around. This is my favorite. Funny how I read the reviews and people are like "I've eaten here 20 times, but it's just OK". You don't eat somewhere 20 times if it's just OK. The donuts are a nice treat. My son lives them. The service is usually very good. My coffee gets topped off every few minutes. I've never ordered anything on the menu that wasn't very good. read more

My favorite :) A couple friends brought us here for breakfast and I've got to say, I enjoyed it. I would probably come back for the homemade doughnuts and yummy potatoes! Also, reading the many signs on the walls provides good entertainment while you're waiting. However, before I get ahead of myself - decently busy place on a Sunday morning. Wait wasn't too long, maybe 10 minutes, and we came in around 11 am. After getting seated and having some doughnuts placed in front of me, I perused the many breakfast options and went with a strawberry Belgian waffle. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the waffle. I was expecting some delicious batter, and why was there no whipped cream?? It's just not a good Belgian waffle without the whipped cream. However, I ended up eating a bunch of my boyfriend's skillet and that was tasty. I think his had biscuit and gravy and steak and yummy potatoes with scrambled eggs. It was even good when I reheated leftovers at home! So, all in all, avoid the waffles and go for the skillets/eggs/meat stuff. And eat a donut or four. read more

Kinda dig the late breakfast brunch menu at Juicy-O. Venue is neighborhood friendly and little noisy at times. Service is quick but lack a little touch on the coffee refills once they hand you the bill. Homemade donuts basket is a nice perk and Bubba Tea has an identity crisis coming to this menu. So, the rating I am giving has more to do with a management practice that truly annoys me. Whenever we have come to this restaurant, there is always a very sizable crowd. This leads me to believe that they are doing a good deal of business and are probably nicely profitable. The practice that truly makes me angry is the upcharge on any bill paid for with a credit or debit card. Food was horrible, service was worse. I originally had gone to Juicy-o in Naperville and my experience there was great! I assumed I would have the same experience here but I was so wrong. Server was rude and had an attitude, did not give us water till we asked and got in 25 minutes later, young teenage boys who are inexperienced wearing masks on their chins are doing a horrible job cleaning the tables, we had to ask to switch tables because crumbs and food were left from the previous customers. If we asked for straws or silverware it was thrown on our table no apology for not giving in the first place. Food was horrible!! I got burnt avocado toast with barely any avocado, no salt no pepper. I left my entire plate. My husband asked for banana caramel pancakes that says on the menu are stuffed with bananas then topped with caramel and bananas on top. It was basically a plain pancakes with few slices of banana. We left 90% of our food and left paying a $55 bill for the worst experience ever. Dennys or ihop would have been better. read more

Sadly, Juicy-O is not the delicious hangover-cure breakfast I remember after my first visit maybe 10 years ago. For awhile, I was frequenting Juicy-O maybe once a month on a Saturday or Sunday morning, welcoming delicious breakfast and enough coffee to fill an IV drip. Fast-forward to this past weekend, after spending the night in Lombard, I was super excited to go back to Juicy-O and show my husband what all the fuss is about. Man, what a let-down. First, the front of house is extremely disorganized. When we walked in, one hostess took our name (table for 4) and another hostess said, oh no, no, we can seat you right now. Which was great, except with the service we received, maybe they should've waited a little bit to re-seat that section. Our server was not on her A-game, which is a shame, because my dining partners said they'd had her before and she was good. Well, yesterday, she was awful. I almost felt as if we were being ignored for some reason on purpose. Every other table around us (with the same server) was getting donut, coffee, and water refills on the reg, and she was just passing us by. We had to flag her down for coffee refills, and when we asked for more creamer and 2 extra place settings (a party of 4 was only seated with 2 sets of silverware) she passed it off, "I'll send someone over." Well, that someone didn't arrive until the food did, and we had to ask again. We also had to ask for butter and jam for toast. The service was horrendously slow, and I cannot fully blame the server. Juicy-O is used it being busy, it's always jam packed. However, I don't know if they've had turnover in the kitchen or what, but it seemed to be as disorganized as the front of house. People who ordered way after us were getting their food first. Our order (2 skillets, 1 burger, 1 benedict) took maybe 30 minutes. The breakfast burger was also missing 2 of the toppings that make it the "breakfast burger" (bacon and bacon jam.) The server did remove the cost of the burger from the bill when we brought it to her attention. The worst part was my husband became ill shortly after eating some of the burger. I apologized to him for the huge debacle of what Juicy-O was yesterday, and he said, you know, I knew something wasn't right, because you wouldn't go to a place that was THAT disorganized. He's right. So, sorry to say, the next time I'm in Lombard early on a Saturday or Sunday morning, I'll be finding a new place to try. read more

What was noticed was they had raised their prices so a typical breakfast meal costs $14 which is about 30% higher than most other breakfast restaurants in the area. Last, when I got the bill, they had added a 3% surcharge for use of a credit card. Couple their FREE donuts with their specialty coffee and you are looking at a wonderful meal. Also, the freshly squeezed orange juice is absolutely delightful. I had heard that the little donuts were good, but no, they were fab!!! A little cold, but none the less, FAB!! I ordered a Denver skillet, it was too piecey, I know that sounds weird but it looked like the ham and hash browns were smushed. It was still pretty tasty though. My daughter and I went here on a Sunday with some friends. I have been to the Juicy-O at Fox Valley several times and have always been pleased. We arrived at 10:30 and the place was packed. Only took about 10 minutes to be seated which was great. The problems started after that. It was over 30 minutes before our order was taken and then a good hour and a half before our food arrived. The food was lukewarm and had none of the flavor and goodness that I have had at the other Juicy-O. No apologies from the waitress about the wait. Just very poor service and food. Will not be back to this location. I don't usually post poor reviews, but when it takes 3 hours to have breakfast, and bad breakfast at that, I feel a need to let others know this may not be the best place to eat. read more

So now I have lost my bubble-tea-virginity. I was always intimidated by them in Chinatown, because I don't like tea and I didn't know what the heck those bubbles were made of. Thank goodness I found myself at Juicy-O (after yelping for a restaurant near the home-expo store we had to visit). The nice, English-speaking waitress told me that there is actually no tea in bubble tea. It's a fruit smoothie, and the round things in the bottom were tapioca. "You should try it once in your life," she said. So I did. It was pretty good -- the tapioca balls resembled blueberries, but they had no taste, and a pleasantly chewy texture reminiscent of gummy bears. For our meal, the hubby and I got a fritatta with arugula, fresh mozzarella, and grilled peppers (the latter were quite undiscernable to me) which came with yummy potatoes, and a choice of toast or pancakes. We also shared the peach and pecan crepes. This is where they lost a star, because the peaches were canned and if the pecans were just plain. The crepes themselves were heavily seasoned with nutmeg, so if you hate nutmeg, stay away. The service was very good and the walls were decorated with framed prints of sily sayings. But you gotta expect a little silliness if you go somewhere with a name like Juicy-O, right? read more

The service in this restaurant has really taken a nose dive. We had two waitresses and neither one of them asked us how our food was or even thanked us for coming in. My omelet was mediocre and it looked like they cut it open to add the cheese they had forgotten to add as requested. And the prices? 3.95 for a small cup of OJ? $3.99 for 3 pieces of greasy bacon?
