Yep I sure did make the drive out here to grab me one of their popular pies. Julian is known for their many variety of pies. But especially their many flavors of apple pies. I got their caramel dutch apple crumb pie. Glad I did because it was absolutely delicious when I drove back to OC and had some. Just needed to warm it for 30 seconds and I was in pure heaven. The caramel top made it even that much better. The crust to apple filling was perfect. And it had the perfect amount of sweetness. I highly recommend it. You can even get their pies frozen to take back if you like. Besides pies, they also had other baked goods such as their pastries, cookies, and donuts. I would love to their their popular apple cider donut. Besides pies and baked items they also had goodies, such as their house made apple honey, apple cider flavor popcorn, and apple butter. The staff was nice and my pie came out pretty quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have limited seating inside and a nice patio outside to enjoy your treat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is plenty of parking. I would definitely come back.

Oh. My. Goodness. I don't even like pie, never have. However, The Julian Pie Company has converted me. Traffic to Julian was wild so we didn't think we were going to make it on time. Fortunately, we made it 10 minutes before closing and were able to score some pie a la mode. For those of you driving from far just be forewarned that the closing time is strict. As soon as 5:00pm hits, that door is locked and closed. My husband and I were scrambling to get there and we feel so lucky to have gotten to try it as our lives have been changed for the better. The menu is small and straightforward. You order your slice, any toppings, and a drink to go with your pie. I got the dutch slice (which has a streusel crumb topping) with a scoop of ice cream. My husband got a natural slice on its own. Thankfully, the scoop of ice cream was very generous, so I was able to place some on the natural slice. I do think that the the dutch slice with ice cream was a little too sweet but on the natural it was perfect. Both slices of pie were so warm and perfectly flaky. I loved the warmth and spice of the apples and thought that the smell was fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came when it was raining so we did not see outside seating but did see some seating inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can buy whole pies to go as well. I loved it so much, I will return :)

Rode out from Anaheim with the bros to Julian yesterday after they talked about how good the pie was and they definitely were not wrong! Well, we stopped by the one in Julian, but after seeing how long the line was we rode back towards the one in Santa Ysabel instead. I ordered a slice of Apple Mountain Berry and Dutch Apple to take home. The Apple Mountain Berry has a blend of apples, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries. The Dutch Apple is a sweeter version of the original with a crumb top. I'm not really big on sweets, but I gotta say, this was a really great slice of pie. It's not too sweet and the crust/crumb was excellent. Looking forward to trying the Dutch Apple one later today! Service was nice. One of the dudes was friendly; good vibes. Don't forget to order ice cream like I did! It would've really elevated the pie to a whole new level. Sounds like I have a great excuse to ride back down this way again!

Oh what a delicious place, usually I always know what I wanted but here is just so hard! Everything is delicious and look so great. We try 2 of their pies that were just perfect even their coffee is really good, [[HIGHLIGHT]]this place is amazing for any occasion and any time of the day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The moment you walk in this location it smells like fresh apple pie hug[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location isn't as crowded as main st Julian[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . They have all the same stuff but in my opinion friendlier service and [[HIGHLIGHT]]if you eat outside you're surrounded by mountains it's beautiful[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . We cake on a Saturday and the cider donut holes are amazing . This time we got peach apple pie which had a nice balance of sweet and tart . A employee recommended Carmel drizzle on top and now we will get it every time . They serve Peet's coffee which is very good and bold . Make this your pie shop you won't regret it .

We made the drive from Oceanside to Julian on a slightly rainy day it couldn't have been more perfect. The downtown Julian Pie Company location was completely packed, so we decided to stop at the bakery and headquarters on the way out. Best decision ever. We had fresh apple pie with ice cream (you can choose vanilla or cinnamon and that day, the cinnamon ice cream is sounded like the perfect addition ) and my son swore they had one of the best hot chocolates he's ever had. He isn't a big apple pie fan, but they have some other options and he opted for chocolate chip cookies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Full transparency here, the hot chocolate looked like it came from a machine, but the cozy vibe of the day made everything taste better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just a heads up: it's not dog-friendly inside, only the patio, so plan accordingly if it's cold.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You could leave your dog out in the car if you brought them, but we ended up freezing out on the patio lol . Still, I highly recommend stopping at the bakery location when you're in Julian.

Classic Julian Pie Company. You can find them at most grocery stores all over San Diego County. I suggest you get pies there because the lines here are ridiculously long. But if you must come, don't miss out on the hot apple cider -- it's delicious!

I've been to the Julian location as well, but I always go to this location bc there's never a long line!! And they're never sold out!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a lot of parking, decent seating options, and they also sell their merch here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] ([[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean bathrooms which is a plus![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]) [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is such a cute American pie shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really recommend the crumble pies specifically bc the texture adds so much to the pies. I've tried lots of flavors before- but recently I got the peach apple crumb which was just so perfect for the summer. I've lived in Georgia, but somehow this is the best pie I've ever had. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area, such a destination spot!!

Of course we couldn't resist getting pie from Julian Pie Company while in Julian. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It smells so good inside the shop, it's kind of impossible not to get anything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their signature German apple pie and the strawberry rhubarb pie were both fantastic!

We always stop here for a coffee pie and donuts on the way up to Julian. The service here is with a smile. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is pretty cool[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and.

This is the location just about 10-15 minutes away from their main location in Julian. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's less crowded and there's usually plenty of parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I believe they have the same items. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's some seating area just outside, but no inside seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is straightforward - line up, order, and wait for your order to be prepared. We only got a slice of their standard apple pie. It had a very good crust, flavorful and fresh. The inside had a very good flavor and amount of filling. Overall it was a very good slice. Personally I'm not a big fan of apple pie so I wouldn't come out of my way to come here, but if you're in the area or on your way to Julian, then it makes a nice stop for a snack.

It's the perfect stop on a relaxing weekend drive. Pros: * Delicious food; recommend getting a scoop of cinnamon ice cream added to your pie order * Friendly Staff * [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean store[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cons: * Prices. Their items seem more expensive than other stores near by. It's probably because your paying for the name. Extra: * [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outdoor Seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] * They do run out! Get there early if you want items like Apple Cider Donuts

I can't say anything about this place that hasn't been said before. It's a dream. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment you step out of your car in the parking lot, the sweet aroma of pie fills the air.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (kinda like when you drive past innout and it smells like innout for a mile after, except it's pie and not innout) Anyway. It's delicious. No matter what you order. There is no wrong answer. I like the apple cherry mix, litteralllllyyyyyy the best pie I've ever had. Totally worth the drive. I will always come back here for some Julian pie!

This has become a go-to spot post-hike in the area and always is the treat I look forward to. On my most recent visit I had the BLT which had avocado, an egg, and chipotle mayo on brioche - hit the spot. Each sandwich comes on a different type of bread, which adds to the flavor profiles for each. Sometimes places just put it all on wheat or sourdough, but I like how the bread is paired to add to the sandwich. There's seating inside and out and always plenty of parking, though I can imagine on the weekend, it's more competitive. Although the spot has been around for a while, I just recently got introduced to it on enthusiastic recommendations from others, so I pass that enthusiastic recommendations onto you.

Maggie misses the fresh baked fruit bars and were soft and full of sweet fruit flavor.  Cashier told us they are only baked on Saturday now.  We touched the fruit bars and they were all hard from sitting around half the week.  It's sad as we loved stopping here after a trip to Julian for fresh baked treats and Doc Brown's Root Beer.  Looks like we will have to buy all our baked treats at one of the Julian bakeries like Apple Alley that bakes their pies every morning.  https://www.hungryones.com/2021/10/apple-alley-bakery/ Staff was nice and efficient.

We already got our pie fix at Mom's, but made this our last stop before heading out. I couldn't stop just standing there sipping my hot cider while waiting for our to go items to be prepared. We got two apple cider donuts, one cinnamon sugar and one chocolate dipped. Long ago, I tried these tiny heart shaped pie crust cookies covered in cinnamon and sugar - Apple Memories! These are crisp tiny bites of love that you want to take home every single time! There are actually two buildings. One where you can grab a bite to eat, the other has all the merchandise, and both have whole frozen pies to grab to go! The building where you can dine has a small inside dining area, it can get cozy in there, but on a chilly day, that is exactly what you want! Just outside there is plenty of room outdoors to enjoy the scenery. In the merchandise building I couldn't help myself... we took home a whole gallon of apple cider, and also bought a jar of Cinnamon Apple Honey Spread and a jar of Apple butter... absolute yum! The hubs also decided to try the apple cinnamon chapstick! Yes, you can grab one of these famous pies at many different establishments throughout San Diego. To make name a few, Iowa Farms, Spring Valley Market, Siesel's and even at Vons! But if you're in Julian, don't forget to try a pie, grab some Apple Memories, and don't forget to bring a hot thermos to take that hot Apple cider to go! Enjoy!!! Simply the Best! They were sitting right next to the Julian pies and it kinda looked like a fight, like a battle of the mountain bakeries kind of fight. Needless to say, I grabbed both because everyone immediately glorifies the Julian pie so by including the Ramona pie, my objective was to introduce some low risk novelty for my Christmas get-together. I didn't have high hopes for Ramona's blueberry because I was suspicious of the huge bready looking crust roll in combination with the sticker on the front boasting "no seed oils". I'm not fluent in baking alchemy. I was raised on Costco pie (bleh). So, I thought this was going to be dry and overly sweet but much to my whole family's surprise, Ramona was the winner! My takeaway: Do not discriminate the chubby crust roll! Take it from me because I'm a savage that eats a pie right out of the fridge. The crust is like a shortbread cookie. It's almost on the Italian pastry spectrum. Very delicious. Very coffee friendly. The blueberry filling was also perfectly balanced. It wasn't too sweet and even with the crumble topping, I felt like I could eat it with yogurt in the morning and trick myself into calling it a wholesome breakfast. Now, I'm going to say this with a huge shield up... but it knocked the Julian apple pie way off the shelf for me.

That said, I do want to clarify that, from what I observed, we were not the last table to be seated. I understand it was a busy Fourth of July, and I know everyone can make mistakes. By the time my food finally arrived, the experience had already been affected. I don't expect perfection, especially on a busy holiday. I simply shared my honest experience and hope it helps improve service for future guests. -------------------- We ordered our food and my friend received her meal, but my order of biscuits and gravy didn't come out correctly. The server acknowledged the mistake, saying it was her fault and that she would get it fixed right away. It was a simple order--just biscuits and gravy--so it was frustrating that it was difficult to get right. When the correct food finally arrived, the experience had already been delayed and a bit discouraging. At that point, I was honestly just over it, especially when I was asked if I wanted a box, as if we were finished. Overall, the food was fine once it arrived, but the service experience that day was disorganized and left a negative impression.
