I've driven past here many times and didn't pay much attention to this shop. My friend recommended their breakfast sandwich, so I had to try it for myself. It's a place where you order on a screen and wait. Food came out pretty fast. I took it to go, but the cafe is actually pretty cute and comfy. Maybe I'll dine in next time. I wish they had someone taking the orders or some type of service beyond just a call for my name and handing the food over. I got the breakfast sandwich with an everything bagel. It was toasted and slightly crispy in the best way. What impressed me was that the simple ingredients - spinach, egg, cheese, onion, and bacon - went so well together. I really enjoyed it. I had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. That was refreshing. I'll be back for more!

This was my first time here! There was plenty of parking. The decor inside was so cute! You can either order on the kiosk or with the staff. I got the sausage bagel sandwich with the jalapeño cheese bagel. It was so delicious! The jalapeño cheese bagel had the perfect softness and chewiness. It also had the right kick to it. The order came with fruit, so it was the perfect balance.

NO CASH. Now that you have processed that....This place seems to have found a way to fight inflation. Although prices have increased since my last post four years ago, it's such a small increase that I hardly noticed. EVERYTHING is still reasonably priced. Priced from 9.95 for a honey sausage breakfast sandwich to 15.95 for an open face lox bagel. Still very nice indoors with plenty of seating. Maintain their minimalistic ranch style. Very clean, restrooms, and great service. One big change since four years ago has been the addition of the self serve. Used to have someone to take your order, but now you can order and pay on the tablet on the counter or as soon as you walk in the door. Ladies in the back always working hard, and making fresh food. Closed Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, but open as early as 7 AM on other days. Making good on my last post and ordered the Julie's special. Jalapeño bagels with eggs, provolone, tomatoes, spinach, bacon, onions, and maybe some other stuff. It's delicious! Didn't realize you could order online until someone walked in while I was waiting and picked up their order. Next time, going to try their lunch options. So far everything I've tried has not let me down. But most of all, I really appreciate they haven't raise their prices too much. Great quality for an even better price.

Great road trip stop. Just off the 71 freeway in Pomona. Julie's is a great spot for coffee and breakfast. I had a more than adequate latte, tried the "California" breakfast bagel sandwich. Veggies, cheese, spinach and added sausage. I also took the recommendation of the delightful staff person and had this on a jalapeño bagel. Delicious and filling! The place is comfortable inside and out. I enjoyed the still cool morning under an umbrella out front. Bathrooms are very clean! I hope I pass this way again.

What a cute and cozy little cafe in Chino. Everything is fresh and price right. The sandwiches and bagels are delish and pretty filling for lunch time. They have options that you can bring your own container for left over for environmentally friendly. Their mocha latte is a perfect fair for any breakfast or lunch item. Definitely my go to place for a cozy brunch, specially on the weekends.

Food was amazing. I got the Julie's special and it was worth the hype. If you don't do well with spice then I recommend you swap the jalapeño cheddar bagel with a different one because it does have a kick. I also ordered the dragonfruit smoothie and it was so refreshing.

You order from the kiosk now. It was fairly busy when I went so the food took a while to come out. Ordered the lox on everything. Wished the bagel was a bit more toasted but the lox tasted fresh. 15 bucks for a bagel is crazy, but I guess that's inflation these days. At least it came with a fruit cup. Not bad if you want a bagel in this area.

The food here is delicious! My favorite is the ube mochi muffin. Delicious! Service is amazing. They are very nice and it's also fast. The place has such a cute and cozy vibe to it. Lots of seating. Clean and organized.

I came to Chino for physical therapy today and originally planned to visit my usual old-fashioned American breakfast spot nearby, but it turned out the place has a new owner. Now it's Julie's Cafe, run (it seems) by an Asian lady, with a very cute and cozy decor. The menu is mostly sandwiches, salads, and coffee--so more like a light brunch café than a traditional diner. Personally, I missed the classic American breakfast items like pancakes or country fried steak. I ordered the signature sandwich with tomato soup --tasty, very similar to Corner Bakery's style. That said, I do prefer CB's black coffee for its stronger flavor. The cafe is inside a converted house, which makes it feel homey, but parking is quite limited. During peak dining hours you might have to circle around to find a spot. The place is clean, plays modern jazz music (which I loved), and overall has a relaxing vibe--great for catching up with a friend, a quiet brunch in Chino, or even a casual business chat. One thing to note: ordering is done through a tablet, whether you're dining in or taking out. That might be a challenge for older customers--this spot used to be popular with retirees, but I didn't see many today. Also, they only open Wednesday through Saturday, which feels very "casual owner lifestyle" . Overall, Julie's Cafe is a nice local café in Chino--clean, comfortable, and serving good food. I'd love to see a bit more variety on the menu, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a cozy brunch spot, fresh sandwiches and salads, or just a quiet place to enjoy coffee in Chino.

I ordered a takeout of the Julie's special bagel wrap. Takes about 10 minutes for the order to be made with the use of the self ordering kiosk. It was a slow day and enjoyed the open feel and cleanness of the place. Very clean and has the cafe flare. Will come back to try out the other items. Drinks are a bit pricey.

Julie's bagel and Sandwiches + iced coffee

The Julie's Bagel here is top tier, so tasty and delicious. It genuinely has me wanting more every time. The green smoothie is also a great choice! Prices can be a bit costly, but the food is very rewarding. The environment is clean and cozy. Brunch dates here are a must. Pretty good service.

julies, i came here two years ago and thought about you since then... so happy to have been back last week and gotten a delicious bagel sandwich that was piping hot, with fluffy, steamy eggs and a light kale smoothie. my friend was extra clever and got one of their sandwiches but subbed the bread for a bagel. the americano was also yummy, a standard one. you should definitely get some tapatio for your lil sandwich though, it makes it even more tasty. you can also switch the bagel out for a different flavor, as my other friend got their pizza bagel, which was even more savory and they smashed it down panini style. i love this cutely decorated little shop, with the service here always helpful. i want to try their salads here for sure, and look forward to being back in the area for brunch just to come back here and try something new.

This place has become one of my favorites for lunch! Everything i've tried so far has been super yummy. I love that they put apples on their veggie and tuna sandwich, definitely adds a little something. They also serve their sandwiches with a side a fruit and the fruit is always amazing and sweet. I finally tried their arugula salad, I got it to go and it was honestly one of the best salads I've had in a long time. They are very generous with the portions and the do not skimp on the salad toppings! Their smoothies are amazing as well, so happy to have this place in town! read more

Meh. Mostly sandwiches and no diet coke. The food prep and presentation is outstanding, but that lasts under 1 minute. Nothing on my sandwich sparklee. Even the bacon lacks gravitas. Oh well, I tried it. Chino Cafe is just down the street and more down to earth. Julie's Cafe is just too foofy. read more

Favorite place to go for a nice meal in the area! There really isn't any other place like Julie's Cafe around Chino. The ambiance is warm, and the food is always great! I see some people complaining about pricing, but compared to other restaurants, the food here is of top quality. I like how I never feel gross and groggy after a meal here compared to the way I feel after eating at some other restaurants. I respect establishments that put quality into their work. You can certainly tell. read more

I'm in love with this little gem. After months of driving past the unassuming front, I tried Julie's and was instantly hooked. The inside is spotless and adorably decorated. I love the bagel sandwich in the morning and the afternoon lunches are great as well. The food is fresh and flavorful, and the prices are very reasonable. read more

Wow this is the worst service I have ever received at a food place. They literally told us to pack up our food and take it with us because they close in 2 minutes. It's quite possibly the rudest place I've ever been. When I ordered at 1:30 they could have said that they are serving to-go orders only because they have a hard-stop at 2:00. But no, they failed. I will never return and I will never recommend this place to anyone. Too bad cuz it's pretty cute. read more

I was in the area, and was looking for some lunch. Since this was only .5 miles away, I decided to try it. Plus, I prefer going to mom and pop type stores to encourage them. As you step inside, you are greeted by cool, white cabinets and a large open space. The menu was on the counter (sandwiches on front and smoothies at the back). The person at the counter was pleasant and took my order of vegetarian sandwich. The menu said - comes with a bowl of fruit. My order comes out, and to my utter surprise and disappointment, it was a sandwich on a regular sized bread and a small cup of fruit. (1/2 strawberry, 1 slice of kiwifruit, a few small pieces of watermelon). And this for $8.50?? Waaaay overpriced. No chips, no salad. The sandwich itself though fresh and tasty, was not filling at all. Then, I needed to finish some work, so I asked if I could bring my laptop in and sit at the corner table. The lady's response - "No, because the corner table is used by employees on their breaks"....hmmmmm.... I would suggest going to Jimmy John's or Subway for a sandwich. Better attitude and definitely filling sandwich. Oh, and the one star? For the clean bathroom and pleasing decor in the cafe. read more

I walked in and was greeted right away! I had a LOX Bagel & a regular Latte...the LOX was definitely very tasty & the presentation was there for sure! Decor is nice clean cute...impressed by the clean cute restroom! The only thing Id suggest is a locally roasted specialty coffee menu to go with this yummy meal...the cashier did mention ppl don't come for the coffee but you would be surprised at how many more ppl would come if the coffee was on point! I think they know what they are doing ! Only suggestions! Lastly, I love the instrumental music playing! read more

Very disappointing. I waited close to half an hour for one Julie Special Bagel and two coffees. The coffees were good, but the only thing I could taste from the bagel was spice. The store is cute, having a modern French vibe, but is lacking any type of pastry. It would be nice to have a sandwich and follow up with at least a cookie. read more

Today was my first time trying this place. My husband and I sat at the corner booth. We were only there for a few minutes and my cell phone rang. I answered my phone on speaker and was listening to the caller. Then 2 minutes later a lady who works there walked over and rudely stated "we don't allow speaker phone." I was a bit confused as it was very loud in the cafe with music and other guests talking out loud. I couldn't understand what she meant. Then she signaled for me to take the caller off speaker. Which I felt a bit singled out as I was sitting in a corner and the restaurant was louder than my call. I normally don't give bad reviews but it's just completely odd and rude to take the time to walk over and basically tell me "no speaker phone." When in reality the restaurant noise was louder than my phone. Being this was my first time trying this place. You could have been a bit more welcoming. It's just petty like as if we were in a library or something. I have never heard Speaker phone was not allowed to answer a call. Good luck to your small cafe that is hard to find with odd business hours. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

This is hands down one of my favorites! Same owners as the shop in Diamond Bar, same exceptional taste and freshness, but half he drive away from me! This cafe also has plenty of parking available and the interior is decorated so cutely! My favorite is the Nova Lox open faced bagel, it just melts in your mouth with goodness! read more

Had a nice romantic breakfast with hubby. Service was nice. Food was good, I had the honey sausage and hubby had the lox crossiant. Both sandwiches are recommendable. Atmosphere was romantic, music had a French theme to it. Seat were comfortable with the pillows they provided. read more

This place is a local/small business. I wouldn't recommend it for espresso drinks, maybe a cup of coffee but not lattes. The bagels however are PHENOMENAL. My favorite is the California breakfast bagel. It's vegetarian. read more

Come out & try Julie's this is the second location she has a location in Diamond Bar. Food is delicious simple menu but everything is good. The Julie's special is tasty. My husband and I came here for brunch and had a really nice experience. When we arrived, we were…read moretold to sign in to the waitlist but I had already checked in online (great option if you don't want to wait too long), the host sorted it out quickly and had us seated within a few minutes. She initially sat us inside, but when we asked to move to the patio, she gladly accommodated with a smile! As soon as we sat down, we were immediately brought waters and utensils. The outdoor patio is super cute and clean (just a heads up if you hate flies, they were a little annoying, but that's outdoor seating for you!). We waited a bit for the food, but it was worth it. I ordered the crème brûlée French toast with a side of crispy bacon, and it was so yummy-the sugar coating was perfectly crunchy and the center was nice and moist, plus it came with delicious cream and berries. My husband got the kimchi omelette (which had spam and pork) and the seasoning was absolutely perfect. Luckily it wasn't too busy today so that made the visit that much better. Overall, a great spot with lovely ambiance and service. Highly recommend for a tasty brunch if you're in the area!

The chickens are fed a vegetarian diet with no hormones and no steroids and have plenty of space to roam. I arrived on a Saturday morning 5 minutes to opening and there was a line of 10 cars at the entrance. Ordering is done via drive thru style and they were handling 3 vehicles at a time. Eggs are sold as large, ex-large, or jumbo variety. I went with extra large and got 30 eggs for $16. There is a fee for credit card usage. The egg yolk is dark orange and overall the eggs taste great. Even though these were extra large I felt they were the same size as the large ones I get from Trader Joe's. And the Trader Joe's ones work out to be $17.50 for 30 eggs and they are organic and pasture raised. Overall, I do think the Trader Joe's eggs maybe a better deal and both are similar in taste.

Parking is easy since it's in a large plaza for grocery store patrons. Instead of walking through the 99 ranch store entrance, I used their food hall door. I walked right inside and noticed they had 5 other food areas, though I don't recall any of them besides the bar. I walked up to the boba shop and there wasn't a cashier, only a kiosk. The bobarista was actually enjoying his meal. He quickly got up to assist me and my order. As I stood around, I watched him make my drink while looking at the decor. He made my drink fairly quickly and I was able to drink it while going grocery shopping. The green tea is decent and the boba had a good chewy consistency and size. The purple rice was very interesting and unique! It was my first time having a topping like it and it's exactly what it sounds like: rice in milk tea. Overall a decent boba spot. I need to come back to try other drinks. Nothing makes it memorable for me just yet, but I'm willing to come back to try it again!

I visit this plaza often due to Sam's Club, but rarely drive in the plaza towards Kohls so I was surprised when my friend told me the other week. I needed to head to both Kohls and Sam's Club for errands and stopped by H Mart to grab a few items. I am spoiled by the H Mart in Diamond Bar (DB), so I was expecting something along the same lines but it was a bit different in this location. It is cleaner but some of the produce and fruit were not as fresh as the DB location. Also, there was an entire fridge aisle of alcohol drinks! That sure was a sight to see, since I do not ever recall seeing that in the DB location, or at least not that close to the entrance, let alone across from the produce and fruit. We did see a worker throwing out prepared food, so they must be clearing out already prepared food halfway through the day or something because we were surprised as it was still early afternoon. We do not recommend purchasing the prepped sweet potato here as they are dry and hard, not as fresh as the DB location. We were able to find what we needed and were on our way. The lines to the cashier are very short so it is convenient, as compared to the lines at the DB location, along with the always busy parking lot. This location is a bit smaller than others and also a bit pricier, probably due to the location. Overall, it is convenient if one is in the area and need a few items, but this would not be my main H Mart to shop at.

Having been a loyal customer of Julie's Cafe for years, I've followed them from their original location in Diamond Bar to the Chino Hills spot after the Diamond Bar location closed. Upon entering Julie's Cafe in Chino Hills, the familiar ambiance brought back memories of delightful meals from the past. However, there's a noticeable difference that has left me with mixed feelings. Service Rating: 3/5 Regrettably, the quality of service seems to have taken a dip compared to the earlier days. The staff, while still friendly, appears to be dealing with more challenges. On recent visits, orders have been consistently mixed up, impacting the overall experience. Food Rating: 3/5 The menu at Julie's Cafe still offers a variety of dishes, but I've observed a decrease in the freshness and vibrancy of the food. It's not as impressive as it once was. The flavors, while decent, don't quite reach the standard I remember. Ambiance: 4/5 One thing that remains consistent is the nostalgic feel of the place. Julie's Cafe holds a special place in my heart, thanks to their amazing green juice. It's my all-time favorite, and I can't help but indulge in its refreshing and energizing goodness whenever I visit. The Chino location, although still offering their delicious menu, is quite far for me. Despite this setback, Julie's Cafe remains a go-to spot for their green juice and other delectable offerings. If you are a bagel person who not only wants a bagel but a filling meal. Julie's cafe will not disappoint you. I'm a huge bagel fan and a huge breakfast lover , the customer service here was outstanding making sure If I needed help picking a particular bagel option .
