Wow what happened?? Everything except the soup was horrible and it used to be great! Let me elaborate a bit. Steamed dumplings we completely raw and gummy. Inedible. Teriyaki beef was like shoe leather. Also inedible. Teryaki chicken was all fat and gristle. Obviously inedible. Egg foo yung greasy and had a very off flavor. Took one bite and threw it away. This place used to be so good and I cannot believe the decline. Thank God at least the soup is still good. Maybe they are still in business because there is so little choice around here ... This was my go to Chinese restaurant until today. Brought back some suuupeeer dry boneless spare ribs. Been coming here since they opened years ago owner got pissed and refused to redo them right then told me not to order them again. I'm like this how you handle your customer service? So I told him. If that's how he feels then I will never come here again and that I was gonna put it on Yelp. He said he didn't care. See I know what it was. Ribs were leftover when my wife got them on Sunday and they are closed on Monday. I told them I would rather you tell me they are out than serve me some dry ass old ribs. Lady at front counter asked me why I didn't call them. I told her once I got home it was after hours. Then she had the nerve to say they were like that because of too many's days. Smh. I love this place! I looked everywhere locally for a place that served regular fried rice and not yellow rice! The food is reasonably priced and yummy! The lunch combos are around $5 and really generous portions! The only downfall is this place is always busy so there's sometimes a wait so make sure you call ahead! :) read more

This place is amazing! As a business owner in the hospitality industry, I don't now how they do it. I'm sitting here, in the restaurant, on a Friday night and orders are flowing in at the speed of light. They are calm and collected. I would be pulling my hair out... I've had their food before at a friend's house and was craving it tonight, so I made the 20 minute journey (TIP: call ahead because they typically run on a 30 minute wait). Apparently each Jumbo China is individually owned. If you've tried one before and didn't have a good experience. Try again. This one is top notch and worth the excursion. read more

We ordered 3 items tonight including egg drop soup. When we got home and poured the soup into a bowl, we saw something blackish. Upon further examination, it was clear that some of the eggs were a gray-black color. We called and asked for our money back (just for the soup) and they acted like we were lying, claiming it was pepper and told us we would have to drive back up there with the soup. This is my favorite Chinese place in Raleigh. Their shrimp fried rice is amazing. They put jumbo shrimp in it and it is always great no matter how many times I get it. Friendly staff, they're always fast and attentive. Food normally comes out at a reasonable time also. 10/10 would recommend. Fried scallops also great! read more

DO NOT GO HERE . They have terrible service . I ordered food from them (delivery) and they forgot an item. I asked how would I receive the food I paid for and they told me no they will not make it and hung up in my face. This place is okay and the previous review regarding minimum for debit card is correct. Same experience for me, I ordered over the phone and wasn't informed there was a minimum for debit and credit cards. Lady at counter was rude and tried to sell me something else to make minimum and I said no then walked out. I have been back because it is so close to where I live and she is still just as rude. I go back for the General Tso's and it is pretty good (not amazing) and am sure to have cash. read more

Quick, friendly service. Clean. We got take away; teriyaki chicken skewers (delicious), fried dumplings (delicious, different and interesting filling), sesame chicken (nicely spicy), and beef with black bean sauce (very tender beef and flavorful sauce). STAY AWAY. Keep reading if you need to know more AND like gross stories. My wife and I wanted to try this place a couple of months ago, but upon entering the place it smelled like poop. No, it did not just smell bad, it smelled like actual human poop... and a lot of it. We left without ordering. Fast forward to last Thursday evening, my wife and I decided that the place surely couldn't be that bad, so I ordered the General Tso's Chicken and she ordered Kung Pao Shimp. When I picked up the order, the place smelled fine, so I felt pretty confident that everything would be fine. We started to eat, and I could tell that after a few bites that this was not the best GTC I have had. At the halfway point of my dish, I was outright nauseous. Ten minutes after that, I was rejecting my food... violently. I remember pausing to think, "Oh, so this is what food poisoning is like." I spent the next 3 days recovering from a sickness nearly equivalent to norovirus. Absolutely disgusting. I will never go back to this place. It will be at least a year until I have Chinese again. read more

It's clean, it's fast, orders never screwed up, and it's good. The shrimp are fresh, big and cleaned. They are always open.

We go to this locations at least twice a month, The food quality has gotten worse, The last visit was on Sunday, we placed the order, and we were told fifteen minutes, we wated thirty minutes, and still were told another five minutes, so I cancelled the order. I saw on my statement that they charged me $41.30, for food we never received. Also, apparently, they keep a record of our credit card on file. We will never go to this place again. read more

Ordered my food by phone, got there and was told I didn't meet the minimum requirement to pay with debit card. Didn't have cash. They tried to get me to pay more money for food I didn't want, then drinks. When all they needed to do was ask over the phone if I would be paying with cash or card so I could be informed before arriving to the restaurant and leaving without my food because no one told me there was a limit for the use of debit cards. No signs on the door, no communication over the phone, there wasn't even a sign INSIDE of the restaurant. This is above average for a standard Chinese take out place. It isn't going to blow you away but I wouldn't turn it down.

Tried to call for pick up. It took 4 times of dialing before I was able to actually speak to a human. I think I was hung up on 3 times. We ordered our usual of sweet and sour chicken combo and some soup. Sweet and sour chicken is same as other restaurants, so was the soup, but man, I think we got an entire month's worth of sodium with the fried rice. I don't think I have ever tasted any fried rice so salty. read more
