Came here on a whim because I was craving Matcha. It's a bit difficult to find a place that serves really good high quality Matcha. The Matcha latte was good. The matcha itself was a bit difficult to discern. Sort of just tasted milky with just a hint of matcha. The Strawberry matcha latte, tasted more strawberry than matcha as well. And I think because I got it with coconut milk, that also overpowered the taste of matcha. I think next time I might have to add a bit more matcha. I got my kids the Mango Refresher with boba. They said the boba was nicely cooked and it tasted good. Inside was nicely revamped (it used to be Gong Cha). Service was quick and the drinks came in a nice insulated bag. Overall, not a bad place. Interior is very clean and there was plenty of parking. They have self order kiosks but the worker was still very welcoming and was ready to take my order. If you're a matcha drinker, give this place a pass. There's barely any matcha taste. We got the regular matcha latte and mango matcha latte. This one is in the plaza across the street from the San Francisco Premium outlets in Livermore. I love coming to Junbi. Yesterday my fiancé and I came in with our friends to try the new golden peach matcha drinks. Everyone was so sweet. The decor is really warm and modern. The drinks peach drinks were delicious, not overly sweet and perfectly balanced with the grassiness of the matcha. They are also dog-friendly and greeted my pup the first time we visited. I'm so excited Junbi is in Norcal! Had a chance to visit their soft opening a day before their grand open. The last time I had Junbi was in Honolulu, two years ago and since then I've been craving their matcha. We tried something different this time and got the Mango Matcha Cold Brew and a Guava Matcha Latte with no add-ons. The Mango Matcha Cold Brew was super refreshing--just the right balance of fruity and earthy flavors. But the real winner for me was the Guava Matcha Latte. You can really taste the guava--it's not overpowering, but it adds a nice, tropical sweetness that complements the matcha perfectly. The staff was very nice and helpful when ordering, when I shook it there were some curdles from the cold foam which I understand happens when you mix different aqueous compounds. However, the line moved very fast and the drinks came out quickly. It probably took us less than 20-min btw lining up and getting our drinks. Considering this was their first day, the staff did very well. I ordered the guava matcha latte with soy milk and aloe jelly, this would've cost $9 if it were not for the opening day promotion. I really wanted to love this place and even gave it a second chance but my iced dirty matcha latte tasted like the coffee beans were overly roasted and burnt mixed with water. This killed the whole drink. I personally wouldn't order or recommend their espresso/cold brew drinks. For paying $7.00 I was really disappointed. However, if you have no expectations or standards for how authentic matcha should taste, it is a good place to go. The owner was taking my order and I was voicing my concerns and my personal preference about matcha to the owner. I ordered the cold matcha latte and she added extra matcha to my drink but it was unfortunately still too milky for me. I think for matcha concentrated drinks where the focus is on the matcha, they should offer smaller cup sizes so the flavor is more prominent. I found it too milky and sweet, even after reducing sweetness level. The flavor of the matcha was not strong either. These drinks are much more westernized and more similar to a dessert drink. This place is great if you like fruity matcha drinks and matcha-infused drinks, but this does not suit my personal tastes. I like authentic genuine matcha that has a strong flavor profile. I understand their approach to their matcha drinks though, as many places dilute its strength to accommodate the tastes of the majority, who drink it because it's trendy and don't have a developed taste for matcha. However, the shop is very cute and the owner was very sweet, accommodating and patient with my questions. I want to try their flavored matcha drinks next time. I think I would have a much better experience next time without expectations about the matcha itself. I've never had such delicious almond jelly. It comes in a big pudding size and as you drink it, it breaks into smaller pieces. The texture was perfect. The taste was also phenomenal. You can also get Ululani's in the same plaza. They're still in their grand opening so they are only serving drinks right now. It's very similar to Boba Guys' strawberry matcha latte. Good matcha flavor and not gritty. The shop is pretty small. If there's a line out the door, it might not be that many people because you can probably fit like 3-4 people in the line before it reaches the door. There is a small side area for a few tables. I tried strawberry matcha latte, Sakura lychee matcha latte, hojicha matcha latte... well, tried different varieties of their matcha latte which were all so so good and has fulfilled my satisfaction and will continue to come back. My son loves their strawberry refresher and always suggests going there when he wants something cool and fresh to drink. Recently tried their salmon onigiri which was fresh, hot and very delicious, however, when I bit into it along with the seaweed, rice fell apart and was hard to eat. I LOVE junbi!! I'm sooo happy we have one close to home now. I've been to the Waikiki, Dallas, and SoCal locations! I'm giving this location some grace since they just opened. The workers are efficient and kind, and we waited for our order at the cute tables inside. My boyfriend and I both ordered strawberry matchas, one half sweet and one with no sweetness. The half sweet was SO sweet, but the no sweetness tasted watered down. It's almost as good as the other locations and I'm sure they'll get consistent soon. Btw, their Miffy merch is so cute. The DIY strawberry matcha powder is also SO good 9/10 lol. I'm always going to be coming back here, especially after shopping at the outlets. read more

another spot for my performative self! the place is very cute, kind of small so i think it would get busy quickly. i came in on a sunday afternoon and it wasn't that packed though. i love the matcha cold brews !! yummy and flavorful and perfect for my sensitive stomach. i can chug down a few of these knowing that instead of dying on the toilet i will have bloodshot jittery eyes at 3am. if you want a combo of these symptoms you can get the lattes. the drinks do run on the sweet side so get them less sweet. normal sweet will add a third symptom of heart failure! i also tried the mango refresher ?? forgot the name. as well as the strawberry chrysanthemum. they were mid, i think this place is best for matcha. overall 5 stars! jun-be a slay read more

Service was quick and staff were friendly. I ordered the guava matcha latte with almond jelly - less ice and no sweet and husband ordered the sea salt caramel banana dirty matcha latte with less ice and 25% sweet. Both drinks were still very sweet and both the guava and the banana overpowered the taste of matcha.
