We stayed Sun-Wed and we enjoyed it. Van and his wife Dawn keep the home so clean and well kept, which was important to us. During our stay we walked to the Tiger Bar restaurant, coffee shop, general store and brewery in 3-4 minutes. Couldn't have asked for better hosts in one of our favorite cities to visit. Pretty simple and easy. The rates here are much more reasonable than the prices to rent a condo in Mammoth. You can visit during peak season for not that much money. We went here in March during many good snow years with friends to go snowboarding. Both of our families would rent a 2-bedroom condo and it was spectacular. Even during holidays, they have a flat rate. For a 2-bedroom condo during Christmas and New Years it was only about $150/night. The same kind of condo in the village at Mammoth during that time would probably go for about $2000/night. The condo was awesome. It includes daily housekeeping and it's less than a 2 minute drive to the June Mountain. It had a master bedroom and one bedroom with two beds. It also had a huge living area with floor-to-ceiling windows. We could see the ski resort from our condos in the morning. How awesome is that?! It snowed over a foot of fresh powder while we were there and the next morning you could sit in a chair with a cup of coffee in your hand around 6 AM watching the ski patrol perform their avalanche control work, which is what I did. The condo also had a full kitchen with a microwave, fridge, and utensils. We had a huge balcony with a BBQ which we did not use because we were snowed in. Overall, I would stay here again. The cabin photos on the website do not do it justice. The cabins area is gorgeous, surrounded by aspen trees and views of the high mosquito flat mountain peaks. We were pleasantly surprised. Cabins are very well kept and the kitchens are stocked with everything you need. Service is phenomenal, above and beyond. The staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating. Finally, the grill/kitchen - that black bean burger though...mmm. Homemade brownies and cobblers are a win too. Our stay was worth every penny, even though we were initially apprehensive about the high cost.

The next time, we were hungry after our hike, so we split a pulled pork sandwich with some chips and took a piece of chocolate pie home. It's advisable to go earlier rather than later because they might run out of the entree you want. They make stuff fresh daily, so that's a danger. The hardworking server managed the front end solo. She did a good job. My 1/2 lb bison burger patty was cooked to delicious perfection. Having a non-dehydrated meal after an 8- day BP trip was a treat. Having this bison burger meal with the option of 2 side dishes was heavenly. No, potato fries wasn't one of the choices. I did choose the asparagus and zucchini cooked in marinara sauce and the restuffed baked half potato. This was an exceptional meal that was almost too big for me to finish, but I managed! The bison meat was flavorful and had not the slightest greasy quality about it. Getting meals of this quality when far off the beaten track is a delightful expectation when at Mono Hot Springs. You would be hard-pressed to find a meal this good in the towns further down the mountain.

It was well updated and the decor was pretty and modern. The available appliances were great (toaster oven, air fryer, large Hamilton crock pot, large tub washer/dryer, etc.) and in good working order. I must highlight, the kitchen knives were good quality and sharp. Quality plates and silverware. Parking was easy and convenient. The hot tub was the building adjacent from our rental. We very much enjoyed our stay. Dog friendly. We will definitely reserve this rental again.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. During a 3-night stay, we experienced numerous maintenance failures and extremely poor support. This unit is clearly not well maintained. The first night, the circuit breaker tripped and we lost power and lights in most of the unit for 12 hours. I called and messaged repeatedly and could not get help. Cooking in pitch black wasn't easy. There was no after-hours emergency number on their voicemail at the time (this appeared only AFTER the incident when I complained). I requested compensation and received none. I was even told there were "no issues," despite being on the phone during business hours and receiving verbal instructions on how to fix it myself. This involved first finding the circuit box outside, then resetting the switches & GFI buttons inside. Finding the unit was also unnecessarily difficult. It's in Building G. We searched for 45 minutes in the dark. This information is buried under "Amenities" instead of being included with check-in instructions. When I pointed this out, I was treated like I was the problem. Additional issues included a TV that randomly stopped working (outlet broke), an extremely finicky furnace (we fixed a broken wire), a broken wall heater, an unsafe and unusable couch bed (claiming it is 'fine' should reflect their standards) pellet bags piled in the living area, flimsy fixtures, a shower door that wouldn't close, and loud furnace/vent noises at night. They want to argue with me because they say it's an easy fix. Well this isn't my house. All I know is the power is out and I have no help in the dark. Don't know where the box is don't know the switches. Plus this was fun- they had a lock in the circuit box! No accountability. Bottom line: poorly maintained unit and terrible management. Their response below alone has been just as dismissive as they have always been. Beware
