There is also a shuttle stop right at the end of the driveway so you can use the Mammoth shuttles and nighttime trolley so you never really have to drive anywhere! The only downsides I can think of if I really try is there are no balconies to enjoy the views outside. It snowed about a foot on our last night and we could not find any shovels or window scrapers in the condo. Luckily someone in the parking lot let us borrow their shovel to dig our cars and walkway out. Overall fantastic place, will definitely stay here again!

I even contacted Expedia, who tried to call them to resolve the issue, but they ignored Expedia's calls--even though they were actively texting me. In the end, they suggested we cancel, which we did, because this place felt very shady.

Heavy winds from 20-30 miles per hour with gusts ranging from 40-50 mph. I checked CalTrans every hour over night and they finally made the call for chains required on the 395, travel cautiously if you must drive warning. Crystal was very helpful and understanding of the weather situation along with delays in driving. I have never driven in those conditions and every forum related to mammoth mountain (Facebook and Instagram) said it was safe to stay out if you weren't in Mammoth already. Crystal, with the help of my Expedia agent, refunded my reservation despite their cancellation policy. Thank you so much Crystal! The rooms are actually very big and comfortable. We had a downstairs room, off in the corner, with windows and a large living space and kitchen area. We couldn't get over how spacious the bedroom was and how comfortable it was for two people. The bed was super soft. Bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. Soft towels too! A nice little couch and a three person kitchen table. Truly a large room great for when you'll be staying a few days. It was all of the little touches that made this room great as well. The fan worked and didn't make any noise. The heater worked great. The kitchen was equipped with a large fridge, sink, microwave, Toaster, and four burner stove. It was nice that they had cups, plates, bowls, and silverware. Honestly, anything you would need to eat in. We ended up eating out pretty much every meal because we wanted to enjoy trying the local businesses, but should I ever come back I would definitely pack enough to be able to cook here because it was a great set up. Tyler made check in and check out a breeze. He was nice and didn't give us much hassle when we needed to extend our check out by 30 minutes. He was very friendly from the get and insured we had everything we needed. We appreciated his kind demeanor as we checked in after hours of traveling. The location is five stars itself because you're dead in the center of June Lake downtown with restaurants on each side of you and right behind this motel is the very popular June brewing company. The location was walkable to everything we needed. We also appreciated that they had about a 10 car parking lot. When parking spots fill up, you are welcome to park on the street no issues. We felt that the rooms were pretty soundproof from outside activity but when you are on the bottom floor, we were at the mercy of the people above us. Unfortunately, the people above us were pretty loud, but that's just the way the dicerolls sometimes. I'm sure had we went to the motel staff they maybe would've helped but it just seemed Like too much to ask because really guests should be more courteous that we don't have to tell on them or confront them. The only real negative about being on the bottom floor, but I do prefer the bottom floor as it is easy in and out/not having to carry your bags up the icy stairs etc. The good news is this downtown area is pretty quiet and most of the businesses are closed by 8/9 PM so even if there are loud people, everyone seems to be in their rooms and winding down earlier than if you were in a big city so it was still pretty comfortable and reasonable overall. I would definitely recommend this motel when staying in June Lake, and should I come back up here soon this would definitely be my #1 choice.

I planned this trip with a group of friends, and they could not stop commenting about how the chalets was the best stay they've been in at Mammoth. We stayed at chalet #9 which was not a ski out, but a very short walk to the main lodge/lifts and definitely a ski in from lower road runner. The chalet itself was cozy with plentiful seating, and even extra foldable chairs for our group. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms came equipped with hotel sized toiletries, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped with all the necessities, along with a fridge/freezer that was the perfect size to fit all of our weekend groceries. I also appreciated that they even had a huge pot to make group meals like pho, even though I had already brought my own instant pot. I would 110% stay here again and recommend the chalets to all of my family and friends. This was such a wonderful find. Thank you for the awesome stay Mammoth Mountain Chalets! :)

While the town of Mammoth Lakes has grown and has many wonderful accommodations, Crystal Crag Lodge is a throwback to a quieter time. It was all over Mammoth Lakes…read more However, management was understanding, after setting up tons of traps in our cabin, and catching 12 mice, they gave us half our refund back. We did not end up staying for our duration, could no longer deal with the mice situation. Hoping that they'll get this issue fixed, we would love to go back, as everything else was wonderful. Cabin was clean and very comfortable and a tranquil, peaceful view of the lake from our balcony. Unfortunately, the mice totally ruined our trip this year in August of 2025.
