Consistent over the years.. wonderful customer service, clean, comfy, and modern with dog friendly rooms. Pet rules: two dogs max. $20 x dog per night (3rd night they stay for free. yay!) The small things like having soft plush towels, Mrs. Meyers hand/dish soap and kitchen stocked with cooking oil, spices, and ground coffee is a big plus. Kyle and Krissy are always friendly and responsive over email. We stayed in few different rooms and the cabins here and you can't go wrong with any them. perfect spot. Long wide runs and friendly staff. The only way up is the two seater chair lift..it can be scary, but you don't have to strap in, so it takes off the anxiety of getting off the chair lift on top. Chair J6 is the easiest to get on and off the lift. It slows down a bit on top with a low incline. There are some flat areas on this run, so keep your speed or you're have to shimmy or walk until you get to an inclined. J2 is a two-seater. It lifts up and turns quickly, so make sure to unload as soon as you're on top. Especially for shorter people, the chair lifts up and can knock off your balance.

The philly cheesesteak and fries were a sizable portion for the price on the mountain. If you are willing to splurge a little get yourself an ice cream cookie sandwich. that was one of the best treats i had on the mountain!

The creek that runs through the resort, as well as the little pond were beautiful. We never used the gym or spa, but briefly walked through and it looked very nice! It is for sure an older funkier place, that's part of the charm.

This was only my second stay at Double Eagle Resort & Spa, and the difference from my first visit is night and day. What was once a well-kept mountain retreat has clearly declined under current ownership, leaving us with one of the most disappointing and concerning lodging experiences we've had. The property shows serious neglect. Mouse droppings were everywhere outside our room and inside on the carpet too. We literally had to sweep them aside just to get comfortable. Add in prominent water stains on the ceilings, dirty baseboards and floors around the doors, stained towels with yellowish marks, and overall grime, and it crossed into health hazard territory. We booked specifically for the spa amenities. The indoor pool water was a murky green, the hot tub area was slimy and filthy, and both the pool/spa facilities and female sauna were closed with "maintenance" signs that had apparently been there for weeks or months. This is inexcusable at a resort that promotes these as key features with free guest access. Broken window screens also let in swarms of mosquitoes, making the room uncomfortable. We made multiple attempts to resolve these issues visiting the front desk repeatedly, trying to speak with the owner, and giving them time to call back. The response was poor. One employee, Martin at the front desk, seemed more annoyed by our complaints than interested in helping. Other staff seemed polite but stretched thin, which points to bigger problems with management and resources. Double Eagle was a highlight of June Lake. Charging premium rates while delivering filthy conditions, closed amenities, and unresponsive service isn't right. We've documented it all with photos and will be pursuing remedies. If you care about cleanliness, safety, and actually enjoying the spa/pool facilities, look elsewhere. We still love June Lake deeply and will be back to the area but not here until meaningful improvements are made. Strongly not recommended.

June Lake Properties Reservations is a geat company. Excellent service and if you get into town…read morelate at night, not to worry. You go inside, get the key to your rental, and leave. Pretty simple and easy. The rates here are much more reasonable than the prices to rent a condo in Mammoth. You can visit during peak season for not that much money. We went here in March during many good snow years with friends to go snowboarding. Both of our families would rent a 2-bedroom condo and it was spectacular. Even during holidays, they have a flat rate. For a 2-bedroom condo during Christmas and New Years it was only about $150/night. The same kind of condo in the village at Mammoth during that time would probably go for about $2000/night. The condo was awesome. It includes daily housekeeping and it's less than a 2 minute drive to the June Mountain. It had a master bedroom and one bedroom with two beds. It also had a huge living area with floor-to-ceiling windows. We could see the ski resort from our condos in the morning. How awesome is that?! It snowed over a foot of fresh powder while we were there and the next morning you could sit in a chair with a cup of coffee in your hand around 6 AM watching the ski patrol perform their avalanche control work, which is what I did. The condo also had a full kitchen with a microwave, fridge, and utensils. We had a huge balcony with a BBQ which we did not use because we were snowed in. Overall, I would stay here again. Thank you June Lake Properties for making my stay a fantastic one that I will remember forever. Highly reccomend!!

Most recently was Winter 2026 and we stayed at Johnson Suite (Awesome, great for families!) and Gull Lake Baby house (Not our favorite but still very workable for our family of four). Each time, they've been super accommodating and helpful. It's a weird thing to say about a property management company, but it's actually enjoyable working with them. Even once when my wife left something in one of the units and we were there on a subsequent trip, they allowed us to return to our previous rental (unrented at the time) to recover the item if it were there...and it was; made my wife super happy. To the individual who gave them a bad review because of the pricing / fees: It's fine that you disagree with the fees, I don't think anybody likes them. To rate a company poor because you don't like their pricing is a bit amateur - just don't rent from them if it's too expensive. Don't complain about the price, not rent from them, then review them poorly -- that's bush league.
