I had a previous encounter years ago at PetSmart where the groomer made my dogs tail look like a pig. I was livid! Like his mom, he has some medical issues, but you guys took care of him and I appreciate it. I appreciate the owner Charisma for being patient with me when I lost my purse and was running a little late for fear of being outside the 30 min window and was told that it would not be an issue if I called them due to the circumstances. Luckily for me, I paid my remainder on apple pay and then went home to find my lost purse. Key to those reading, before you make an appointment, there is a deposit of $20 that must be paid before securing your appointment. That fee is then incorporated in the total when you are ready to pay the remainder of the groom. Thank you, Andrew, again for doing a great job. Would I come back, yes! Up-to-Date Vaccinations: The safety and health of your pet are of utmost importance. Before your appointment, ensure that your pet's vaccinations are up to date. The final straw was today's appointment. After my grooming appointment was rescheduled last week, I rearranged my work schedule and left work early to make today's appointment. I even received a confirmation call asking if I would be there. However, when I arrived, I was turned away because my dog's rabies vaccine had expired four days earlier. I understand the importance of vaccination policies and have no issue with businesses enforcing them. My disappointment is that this was not caught or communicated during the confirmation call, before I adjusted my schedule and drove to the appointment. A simple conversation beforehand would have saved everyone time and frustration. After more than a year of dealing with repeated scheduling issues, staff turnover, and increasing prices, this experience was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere. I am disappointed because I wanted to continue supporting this local business, but the overall experience has become more of a headache than a convenience.

My dogs are very wiggly and anxious about getting their nails trimmed or having bath. Joanna, Jolie, and Jonny has made a huge difference in both my grooming related K9 anxiety and my actual k9s having anxiety while getting their grooming needs met. They are very skilled, patient, kind, and absolutely professional throughout the entire process. My recent bath experience for Rascal was exemplary. The dog came home looking like a nice young hound! He is less itchy, shedding less, his teeth looks nice and clean, and nails nice and trimmed. His appointment started right on time and ended sooner than expected which I super appreciated. My rescue dog had a traumatic experience getting nails trimmed recently at a different Petco grooming salon in Huntington Beach. She has since been very challenging to get even the basics completed such as nail trimming. Joanna cured the issue during the second visit. My dog wasn't a wiggly shuddering poor mess. You have no idea how relieved I was after the nasty incident that happened before. My dog got called names, hit, and slapped by the groomer there in Huntington Beach Petco. It was the most blood curdling shrieking I have ever heard my dog make and it gives me the shudders every time I remember it. Anyhow, the rest of the store experience I have had has been also very positive at this location. The merchandising is neatly done and the cashiers are absolutely wonderful there. They always have my store pickup orders ready almost right away. Sometimes in less than 30 minutes. I have never had to wait in line during checkouts and my dogs love saying hello to every one of them. The aquatic section has a nice selection of all things fish related. I'm not a hardcore fish keeper at home so their stuff suffices for my needs. It is more organized and well kept than the Adams Avenue store so I have never had trouble finding what I need like aquatic salt, for example. Given my experience of going to at least 4 other Petco stores in the vicinity and having enough comparison samples and experience, I think this really is one of the best Petco in the area. Lastly, parking area is huge and ample. Stacking coupons is possible and cashier will be more than happy to assist with account issues.
