I had to take my car in here even though it has bad reviews, since my tire gave up its vicinity and this was the only store open. They forced to me get a new TPMS sensor which costed 200$ and then said that they cannot calibrate it, so my car still has an error code. Next they forced me to get a tire alignment for 3 years worth 300$, talked them down to 1 year for 125$. Even the tire was 100$ more than other store nearby and they tried to add a 85$ warranty WTF?? I have been a long time customer of this location. About 18-24 months ago, the manager and crew seemed to completely change, and the service has gone downhill. Yesterday was the last straw. I came in after my car sensor showed a decrease in tire pressure for one of the tires. I drove to Just Tires and asked them to check the tire. They checked the tire pressure and said that it could not be fixed, based on a quick inspection. The tire tread was not low, and there was no noticeable damage to the tire. The manager simply said that i would need to buy two new tires. He did not pull the tire off the car to check for a leak, or anything else. He was just rude. The 3 other workers were standing around laughing and talking, so it was not because they were too busy. I took the tire to another tire place in La Crescenta, and they took the tire off, found two leaks and said that they couldn't patch them. They inspected the other 3 tires and said that i didn't need to match any of the other tires because the were so "new" still. Very friendly and honest. I don't really think that the actual work product is different, but the service, friendliness, and honesty is the difference. Until something changes, I will not be returning to Just Tires anytime soon. read more

Just Tires in La Cañada is a great local business because of the outstanding customer service and their demonstrated work ethic. We've brought our cars in for punctures as well as to adjust the inflation - always super helpful and couteous. My wife has also received great impromptu service for the same thing. (I really value them treating her with respect when I'm traveling away on business - to me, that's huge.). Steve, along with the rest of the staff, is very purposeful and attentive. I have complete confidence in writing them a positive review as a genuine customer. I'll gladly patron this business not only for the convenience, but they are willing to actually make me feel like they are a partner to my family in looking after our car's tire health. Peace of mind is something we value. I think good local businesses should be recognized and supported. I don't write many reviews, especially negative ones. But when there's a business worthy of positive recognition, and operate in an honest and courteous fashion, then I am happy to pass that experience on to our community. I got a flat tire down the street and put the donut on myself. I yelped the closest tire shop and Just Tires popped up. I'm glad it did! It was a Saturday, so they were busy, but they took a look at my tire immediately. The manager Steve was super helpful! Turns out the tire was repairable so they threw it on the rack, repaired the tire and I was out of there in 15 minutes. I went to get my tires changed. Did an online appointment and went in to get it done. Waited almost an hour and a half for them to realize they didn't even have the tires. In that time all they did was take my tires off. Then took 10 minutes to put my tires back. Just go on americas tire if you need anything quick and better cost. Just tires sucks. read more

Very disappointed. I noticed my tire was loosing pressure, so I found this tire shop was the closest. I pulled up to get the tired looked at & they asked me to go to the office. Once in the office I advised the front desk man that my car was a company fleet. He told me the manager was not around & he didn't know how to process fleets. He said, "go the next tire shop". This is so unprofessional. Just Tires is a vendor listed as a shop my company relies on to support its drivers. This man was okay with a potential customer driving a rapidly deflating tire to the next tire shop. This place sucks! Third time TRYING to get service. Called to see if I could get a flat repaired and asked if I could be taken right away. The guy I spoke to on the phone said yes and that it was $35 for the repair. Fine... I needed it done asap. I arrived and I waited in the office for 5 min for someone to assist. No was around so I walked to the shop and saw three guys standing around so I asked if I could get service. One of them said it was about 2-3 hrs wait which I was shocked since I was told the opposite. I just got in my car and left. Waste of time. Anthony was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He greeted me with a smile, and when he saw that the tires I previously had were not in stock, he and the other associate went above and beyond to check to see if they could find them. When they couldn't, they offered me another alternative made specifically for my car and they went and grabbed them and got started right away. Okay, I now see why people were upset with the customer service at the La Canada Just Tires. I have been coming here for tire repairs/new tires with good service for my one car, but my other car had a tire that wore to the tread which I didn't realize until yesterday when my neighbor pointed it out to me so I carefully drove to Just Tires today to have my front tires replaced as the other one looked like it was getting close too. I pull up and there is one other car in the bay and one business van in the parking lot. I walk in where Steve (who has grown quite a big head with the other positive reviews I'm reading) and another employee are behind the counter. No one acknowledges me and both are staring at computer screens. Finally Steve waves me over. No "hello," or "good morning" or anything and then just stares at me so I start telling him what I said in my first paragraph. He interrupts me before I finish and says "you don't just replace one tire, you replace 2. Not 1 or 3, but 2 or 4" and holds up fingers with these counts like I'm a 2 year old. I ignore this, and take him out to the car to show him the wear on the tire and then I get my second "educational speech" when he then looks at the back tires, holds up two fingers and says "there are 2 reasons you replace your tires. The wear, and the age of the tires. Your tires qualify for both of them." What a jerk! I had been at the Honda dealership a few months before and they said my back tires were fine but that I'd soon need to replace the front ones. He tried to tell me my back tires were low quality Chinese tires from 2013 and 2014 which isn't possible because I replaced those in early 2018 and the tires were brand new. They still had all the manufacturing mark ups in pink and yellow when I left the tire place. He also tried to tell me that people have only been replacing my front tires and leaving the back ones alone. Considering I own the car and have been the one getting the tires replaced, I educated him that I get my tires rotated when I service my car. My temperature has now raised, so just as rudely as I was being dealt with I told him I'm just getting the front two replaced. We come back into the shop and now I don't trust him. He shows me a quote and I wonder if this is a total rip off. I hate feeling like this. He tells me it will be 2 hours to do the work. Nearly 4 hours later he calls back to say the work is done. I enter into the shop totally ignored by the same guy and Steve who weren't dealing with anyone or weren't even on the phone. Steve puts the card reader on the counter, looks at me and points to it. He didn't talk to me the whole time. He printed the paperwork and pointed to where I had to sign. As I was signing, another friendly guy walks in (like I had made the mistake of being when I walked in) and Steve starts treating this guy the same way. I hand back the paperwork, he gives me my copy and says "Thank you, have a great weekend." What a loser. If you walk in and see 'Steve' on the name tag, walk back out. I'm going back to Costco for my tire replacements going forward. read more

My Tesla had a flat tire. They charged me 120 dollars above what all other places quoted me but they promised to fix it promptly. They told me that tires were old and convinced me to buy two new tires. I picked up the car and the within hours I had a flat again. They told me it was a cracked wheel and made me go to a Tesla dealer to buy a wheel and bring it to them. He charged me another 45 dollars for replacing the wheel. My tire went flat on the way to work and I stopped at Just Tires as it was the closest place. The owner told me the nail was too close to the sidewall to repair and that I needed a new tire (the tire was practically new). Not only that but I needed to buy 2 so the wear or lack of would be balanced. I told him to put my tire back on and I drove with my flat across the street to the Firestone tire place. The wonderful owner fixed my tire - he said there is no need for a new tire - a patch will fix this perfectly. I've been driving on the same tire for over a year now. This is an update to my review from May. I decided to try out Just Tires again in hopes that they would have figured it out by now, clearly not the case. Just Tires decides to hire new management because the other employee(s), who have been there for longer than I can remember, is/are incompetent I guess. So I drop my car off, leave my number, and they said about an hour. I didn't receive a call but I come back in an hour and they have the wrong number after I wrote down my number in big numbers for them to read and call me when the car was done...they never called and car was "done" when I got back to the lot. I walk inside and they said they had one more thing to do with paperwork and whatnot so I stepped out in FRONT of the FRONT door, literally stood there for 30 minutes. Thinking there's no way "one more thing" could take 30 minutes, I walked back inside and the guy puts my key on the counter. I asked him, "hey, I've literally been outside the front door waiting, could you have stepped out from behind the desk and told me it was done? Or at least called my phone?" He tells me, "Have a nice day." Excuse me? It just proves my point that he obviously is incompetent and they really don't care about their customers here. Went for an alignment. My car has only one adjustment - front toe. It's two bolts. 5 minutes after arriving they tell me it's $115 for a 4-wheel alignment. Of course I say that's ridiculous to twist two bolts on the front wheels. They say "well we have to charge for a full 4-wheel alignment even though we can only adjust one thing". So they fully acknowledged that they were overcharging me. I say no thanks but I'm happy to pay for the measurements they took. They say "well we already adjusted it so it'll just be $90". It took them so little time to do that they didn't even have time to ask me first. I can do nothing but laugh and say okay because I'm not going to steal labor. The whole time the guy is giving me attitude and I can tell even he thinks it's a ridiculous price by his reluctance to tell me. I was in at 3:02 PM and out at 3:11 PM. So for $90 that means they charged me $600/hour for labor. I'm buying new tires soon and they would have had my business but wanted to price gouge me over a 5 minute job instead. Oh well. read more

I rarely write bad reviews. The mechanics here don't know how to do WHEEL ALIGNMENT. I went there and had it done. Something didn't seem right and the car wore out tires in 12,000 miles. I took to another place and they told me the wheel alignment hadn't been done. The new place redid the alignment and the car drives perfectly. Also they quoted me $1145 for 4 tires and the other place just down the street sold them to me for $800. They told me I needed new brakes and another mechanics said they were fine for another 10,000 miles. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PLACE. The guys did a repair on a bad valve stem that was put on by another vendor. Quickly and efficiently. When all was done they said contact said vendor and tell them they put on the wrong valve stems and told me what was supposed to be on there. They didn't even charge me. I'm so surprised to see that this location only had one star! Last night I took my car in because I had a flat and it turned out I had 5 nails in one tire...YES 5 nails. How does that even happen? Anyway, all the guys that worked there were very honest about my options and they didn't try to force me into buying new tires from them. We decided to try patch all the holes and hope for the best. What really stuck out for me was that they started working on my car around 7:45pm even though they close at 8. They could've easily asked me to come back the next day, instead they worked on it until 8:30. I'm really happy that these guys are so close to my work, and this is for sure my new tire place. read more

Wish I could leave 0 stars.. Walked in at 4:20 on a Tuesday. No one was at the front desk. I stood there politely for 5 min before walking out to the garage to inquire about getting some help inside. They assured me someone would be right in. As I was the only customer, I decided to have a seat instead of standing there. My bad. Another customer walked in and immediately someone entered from the garage and of course because she was standing at the desk, she got helped before me. Owell, I could certainly wait. After all, they're open until 8pm right? 20 min later, as he's wrapping up that transaction he asks me if I'm picking up a car. "No, hoping to get a tire patch so I can get to work." Came in for a simple tire rotation after work. The place was empty so I thought I had a chance of getting out of there quickly. I walked up to the tech and ask for the tire rotation, and he ignored me. I didn't realize he was working with someone else outside. I waited 20 minutes and was ignored the entire time. I needed some new tires so I searched around. Used their website, selected tires, made an appointment. Received the confirmation by email (and was even asked to call if I wasn't able to make the appointment!) Here is my saga. Visit #1. Showed up at 930a for my scheduled appointment. Was told that they had an issue with the "lifts", so they could not service vehicles, but that "emergency service" was coming, so I should come back at noon and would be ready to go. (Call #1. I called at noon, and they said, they are working, but better to come at 1p since they were catchingup) Visit #2. Showed up at 1p. Went through the whole intake process - did paperwork, confirmed estimated costs and what I wanted done, checked mileage on car, did car visual inspection. Finalized paperwork. Then, was told, "oh, we don't have those tires in stock.....I will order them now, can you come back tomorrow morning? I will get you and out and I will discount the front end alignment for your trouble." I couldn't come the next day, and told him (the manager, Steve), but said that I'd be back a few days later. He said he would have the tires and would get me in and out. Visit #3, few days later. Showed up at 930am. Go through intake process. Then am told, "oh, looks like we got the tires, and then they got installed on another car, so we don't have them now. He then called the warehouse. Told me that they would arrive at 1p, so come back at 1p, and he would get me in and out. Visit #4. I arrived at 1p. Another guy was there. He said that everyone is on lunch break, and they'd be back at 2p. And then probably about 1.5 hours. He checks me in, and provides me some info on costs of alignment (one time vs 3-year program) So, I waited...... At 430p, my car was finally ready to go. The manager, Steve, writes me up, and I'm ready to pay and he gives me the total. I confirm that the front end alignment was done, and he says, "yes... but I need to add it into the invoice". I remind him that he offered a discount. So, he says, "so, the usual cost is $189, but I will do it for $120". Sounds like a good deal - I confirm that this is for the "3 year service" (since I already knew the price from the other gentleman), but he says, "no, this is just for one time alignment". Waiiiiiit....... I had already been explained (by the other person) that the location offers a single alignment at $94, and a 3-year program at $189. Well, I told him this, and he said, "he did?... well.... hmmm... ok... well.... i guess the usual one time is $100, so I will charge you $80 for it... you save $20, will this make you feel better?" So, at the end of the day.... 1) it took me 4 visits to get tires done due the manager's incompetence. 2) he still tried to cheat me on the costs of the alignment 3) for my "trouble", I saved $14 on a front end alignment (of note, the actual invoice, in fact, shows that the line item cost for 1-time front end alignment is ~($94, and it was discounted to 79.99, which saved me ~$14 for my hassle...) 4) I got home, two tires are only halfway inflated. I checked the tire pressure and they were both under inflated by ~10 PSI. Drove to gas station to confirm, and added more air. I think the dishonesty of the manager is quite remarkable. If I knew who else to file a complaint with, I certainly would. I see that this location has a number of other poor reviews. I can confirm that my experience is consistent. I will also note that I had an oil change done here a few years ago. A little while later, noted some fluid leaking and took my car to a local mechanic. He told me that the oil filter wasn't put on correctly, and so it had worked itself loose and was now leaking oil. He "topped" me off (no charge!), and recommended I go back to whoever did the oil change to let them know. I did - same manager, Steve, laughed at me and said "no way we are responsible for this, get out of here". At the time, I let it go - no harm, no foul. In light of my last experience, I would note that this has the appearance of the beginning of a pattern. read more
