Horrible customer service. Taschet was not attentive to us at all. We were there for happy hour. Stayed over 3 hours and the waitress never asked to re fill our water glass. We had to flag her down every time we wanted to order another drink. At times she would pick up the empty glasses but never asked if we wanted another one. This was my first time here, but I absolutely loved it! Such a GREAT happy hour menu (great in price and food options!) I got the three tacos (on hot sausage, one salmon, and one seafood) and a glass of champagne from the happy hour menu. I also got the winter white holiday margarita which is only available now during the winter. It was so delicious that I had to order another one. Out of all the three tacos that I got- the salmon was my favorite. I didn't love the seafood taco, but it wasn't bad. Just not what I was in the mood for really. Arrival the patio was full , entry a few empty tables. 2 walk in asked to be seated , but we're turned away when I counted at least 3 tables empty and about 4 bar top. Looked over menu decided, on shrimp tacos and drink . We sat by the DJ he played a good set . We enjoyed the music while we sat and waited on drinks and food. Drinks arrived we slipped and chatted or shouted over the music , a couple times pretending we heard one another . My tacos arrived but my sis chicken wings were MIA , watched a gentleman arrive seated promptly at bar , received drinks his entrees before, my sis wings arrived , wings arrived 20 minutes latter the gentleman that arrived after us had drank and eaten his meal and paying his tab. We thought he must be important, anywho . Overall it was an experience the tacos were delicious with shrimp and crawfish, my sis didn't like her wings they were good but without the seaseme seeds, and if possible can they cut that tip off. So many waitresses and no one came to assist until I alerted one of them. The hostess was pretty cool and helpful (not sure of his name). The worst part of it all was that the waitress did not know why we were being charged $12 in fees when we already had taxes added. Saw the Juneteenth advertisement for this place so I decided to try it out with a friend. There was a live dj playing music once we arrived and a long line to get in. We had to wait an hour before we were able to be seated. While we were waiting though, 1 group of 3 and a group of 4 who were behind us in line were seated before us (they didn't have reservations). I understand if they didn't want to sit just 2 of us at a four person table, but all of the tables only had 2 chairs and if they had a party of 3/4 they just pushed 2 tables together so that was weird to me. Once we were seated it wasn't long before we could order our drinks. I wanted to try one of the frozen drinks but the machine wasn't working, so I got the rum punch and my friend had the lemon drop. Both drinks were good. While waiting I decided to order their $5 truffle fries on the happy hour menu. They were not good. They did not taste fresh and had no flavor at all. I had to ask for salt and pepper along with ketchup. Also, for the Juneteenth flyer it said food and drink specials but there weren't any signs and our waitress didn't tell us about any specials so I'm not sure if they had any. While the music the dj played was good, it was too loud. I felt like I was almost yelling to talk to her. My friend ordered the fried salmon tacos and I ordered the catfish dauphine. She enjoyed her tacos and my dish was ok. However, I feel like it was plated weird. I wish the salad could've been in a bowl on the side or if it could've been on a bigger plate. If you don't like you're food touching I'd recommend asking if you can get it on the side. Lastly, make sure you look at the bottom of the menu as automatic gratuity is applied (no matter how many people). Overall, I just don't think they were prepared for the amount of people who came. Our waitress told us it's never been that packed and that not long after we ordered they had to shut down the kitchen because the kitchen staff was overwhelmed. Other guests who came in that night could only order drinks. I may have to try it again for brunch when it's not as busy, because I've heard so many good things about the place. read more

JusTini's is one of my favorite happy hour spots. Great brunch as well! Their foundation is built off of creative and quality cocktails, which they have a long list of. I recently visited, and even though I had not been there in a couple of years, everything was just as I remembered. Excellent service from a team of beautiful and friendly women. It really feels like home. One thing about the menu is that it is so naturally New Orleans. A lot of the dishes and cocktails are named after streets in the city like the Chartres St. Blackened Caesar Salad and Rampart St. Ribeye. I love the Saint Claude Truffle Fries and Desire St. Hot Sausage Tacos for happy hour, and Poland Ave Hot Sausage Croissant for brunch. Trying their signature espresso martini is a must if you enjoy this cocktail, it is called the Brown Eyed Girl. If you're really feeling creative and need something refreshing, try the Hello Barbara or Blues in the Cup. One of my favorite parts about this spot, is the cute patio and large, vibrant mural that showcases other well known Black-women bar owners in the city. read more

Overall: it's obvious that this place began its business as a cocktail bar then started serving food. I say this because they (seemingly) put more emphasis on the drinks than food. Brunch: the menu is SMALL!! Like, 10 or less items on it. That was a little disappointing, but I opted for the lamb chops. They were pretty charred to the point where that was the main flavor profile. The grits were good. I asked for scrambled eggs and received a dry lump of egg, but it was edible nonetheless. Additionally I ordered French toast and it was a bit crispy but flavorful. Taco Tuesday: you're required to order a minimum of 3 tacos to partake in the discounted prices, so I ordered 2 seafood tacos and one salmon taco. The seafood tacos were really good! The salmon could've used more seasoning. My friend also had the hot sausage taco and she enjoyed it. Drinks: their drink selection is plentiful and they have some unique cocktails. I don't have any complaints about any that I had. Service: as expected; not over the top, but just enough to somewhat justify their automated 18% gratuity. Granted I came for happy hour and maybe the HH food and drink specials aren't the same caliber or quality as the regular menu food but if that was a preview of what the main menu is like I wouldn't recommend. I tried the tacos (hot sausage, salmon, and seafood (shrimp, crawfish) and had a lemon drop. The lemon drop was made poorly with the wrong ratio of cheap ingredients but it was HH . My children enjoyed their fried fish and french fries so I may try that next time. The service was good. We had one waitress but they all worked as a team. My only gripe is they sat our large party at a high top table and we brought our three young children with us. This place IS NOT for kids. They'll serve them but it's not kid friendly at all. No changing table in the bathrooms and they're small. I've heard great things about their brunch so I'll definitely try them out and come back and update. read more

I highly recommend going to Justini's. I went there for a birthday brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was so welcoming. We sat inside at the bar area, but there is patio seating as well. Although the overall space is not very big, it is very inviting. Our waiter took our drink order and give us some time to review the menu. She also gave us the rundown of all the specials for the day. We ordered a Henny French 75 and a Pineapple Mimosa! Cocktails are on point! For food, we decided to try the Chicken & French Toast and the Hot Sausage Breakfast Crossiant. The Chicken & French Toast comes with a huge dollop of cream cheese and fresh fruit. The chicken was freshly fried and tasty. It could have used a little bit my more seasoning, but overall it was great. The French toast was a 10/10! I think it probably could go without the cream cheese really. The Hot Sausage Crossiant and potatoes were a hit with my husband. I tried his potatoes because there was no sausage to try lol. The potatoes were crisp and tasty! There are tvs there to watch the Saints play. Although the tvs weren't synced, so if you're looking at opposite tvs it's hard to keep up. Not a big deal, just an observation. Also, it took awhile before our waiter came back to check on us for second rounds. I have been to JusTini's on several occasions. Be it a birthday dinner, Happy Hour, or a date, this restaurant has fit the bill. The location is perfect. Indoor, outdoor, and private dining are available. The playlist keeps me singing while I'm eating and attempting to a hold a conversation. I love the hot sausage tacos. I mean love them. I don't think I would ever order anything else. I've tasted other people's food, but none of that compares to those tacos! The bartenders are talented and make refreshing and fun cocktails. So this was my 3rd time here and I can honestly say they are extremely consistent, We had a reservation for 8 which ended up being for 10 in all fairness to JusTini's several of our group members were late. All arrived about 7:15-7:20 and we had 7:00 reservations. The hostess was extremely sweet about it, seating us quickly but reinforcing that we only had 90 minutes because they had other reservations. After being seated, it took about 10 minutes to bring water (some were forgotten) and another 15 minutes to take drink orders. We set our timer, watching the clock closely to ensure we got the best out of our 90 minutes, which was another added stress I'll talk about later. Mind you, at this time the restaurant was not full and there appeared to be several wait staff standing around. Our drinks came out in phases. I ordered the blueberry martini/lemon drop like drink which was very blood at the time but I had a splitting headache and nausea like feeling later that evening and the next morning. I'm thinking it was the blueberry vodka. Another 20 minutes or so, our orders were taken. Once we placed our order, we had to continuously check with the wait staff for basic things such as refreshing water, more drinks, napkins, etc. This is extremely concerning since there is an automatic 18% gratuity on all tickets. The food also came out in phases and things such as the French fries were cold. By the time we got someone's attention to bring ketchup, we didn't want the fries anymore. Sadly, many of us still left an added gratuity despite the subpar service. The salmon bites were a bit dry (overcooked) and the seafood rice was very wet, sitting in a ton of grease. Three times was not the charm. I don't think I'll be in a rush to go back anytime soon. read more

Stopped in here last night because Pizza Delicious was closed for the summer. Our waitress was a bartender and she was very nice and helpful. All the available tables were in the bar, I'm guessing due to AC concerns. We had two beers and two drinks. The food was good but not great. The catfish was way better than my lamb chops. The green salad didn't come with a dressing and was warm from the ate or heating lamp. Both plates had a handful of sliced and sautéed bell peppers. Why they were on the plate was beyond me. The coloring was nice but they didn't offer anything to either dish. The lamb had a sweet potato puree that was tasty but it was served in a 3-4oz cup. Not much there to enjoy. I believed they try very hard to please their customers and maybe it was an off night but it wasn't worth the $104 which includes an 18% gratuity. read more

Note the restaurant is in the Bywater neighborhood so there's only street parking available, I suggest using a rideshare service. For starters this restaurant is in the Bywater very close to the river. Very traditional New Orleans homes so it makes for a very neighbor restaurant feeling, but there are a few other nice looking restaurants in the area. When you come in you are on the patio and there is seating but then also a nice, but small inside area with a well stocked bar and always good music playing. The food was really really good. We started with the salmon bites which were crispy on the outside soft in the middle. Perhaps my least favorite thing i had but still good. We had all the drinks pictured and they were all very good but very sweet. Now to the amazing food- the catfish dauphine was soooooo good. The shrimp and crawfish rice with the fluffy catfish and the garlic cream sauce all went well together. The street hot sausage taco was also good and flavorful.
