My sister and I finally made it to Soultran's Seafood. We had heard so many great things about this…read moreplace we had to go. We pull up and the parking lot is completely full even some car making there own parking spaces lol. We parked about 2 blocks down in a neighborhood hood since all the side street parking was all taken. I knew this place was the right choice and was going to be a hit! We walked in and there is a line to pick your food. This is basically a seafood market and they will cook what you pick if you want. The additional cooking fee is $3.00 per pound. I ordered my food to be cooked I was hangry and left with a triple wide big back. My seafood I picked was Alligator, Baby octopus, Basa, Catfish, Jumbo Lobster Tail, Jumbo Tiger prawns, Sea Scallops, and Oysters. I also ordered a bottle of Kim's Crack Sauce. My total damage with cooking fee was $130 it was well worth the price with the amount of food and the seafood per pound is great! I was told it was an hour wait for my food to be cooked and I was totally fine with it. Less than an hour later my food is done and I am handed 2 giant shopping bags full of food and head home. My food was still warm after driving 1.5 hrs home. I dig into the bags and when I tell you they cooked everything to pure perfection and seasoned properly they did their big one. You can also request you food to be fried hard if you want. I will definitely be back. I want to try other seafood items. There is no dining area to sit and eat Soultran's is strictly order to go.

Their prices are fair . I got 1 pound of catfish and 2 pounds of shrimp (fried for me) for the price of $41. A seafood plate with 4 measles shrimp is easily $20. The service is quick and brings you through line with ease. Locations is a bit on the Vallejo side (google it) but it gives a homey nostalgia. Not necessarily dangerous, but you have to be from California to know

There is also a large selection of various seasonings and ingredients to prepare dishes from any number of asian cultures. Like most asian grocery stores, you will find large bags of various types of rice, as well as a large section containing various cooking utensils, tools, and kitchen machines to help in creating your culinary vision. Located within the store, is the Bazarr eatery. We always make sure to stop and pick up lunch to go. There is a long deli counter that provides various asian BBQ delicacies, as well as a hot counter area where you can purchase various chow meins, fried rice, and a large assortment of prepared asian entrees such as sesame chicken, salt n pepper shrimp, pot stickers, and a large choice of others . This is another place in Vallejo to do your grocery shopping. I have not had been experience at Island Pacific. The people that work there have been helpful. Plenty of parking at this location. It is a big parking lot with other businesses in the area. Island Pacific seems to be bigger than Seafood City and 168 Market. Another Asian Grocery Store that been getting plenty of business in Vallejo. Seem like people in Vallejo have choices to go to Island Pacific or the other two grocery stores in the city.

Terrible Customer Service and Very Poor Online Ordering Experience…read more My first order was supposed to arrive at 6:00 PM, but I didn't receive it until 7:30 PM--1.5 hours late. When I called to ask about my order, the manager initially said they couldn't find it in their system. After about 10-15 minutes, they finally realized that my delivery had never been booked. What was most disappointing was that instead of simply apologizing for the mistake and the delay, the manager was extremely rude and had a very unprofessional attitude toward me as a customer. I gave them another chance and placed a second order, but I had another issue with the payment. I was initially charged $49, which was showing as pending on my account. I was then told that my card was declined and that they needed to charge me another $24. I explained that the $49 was already pending and that the final order amount was only $24 because some items were unavailable. Instead of properly adjusting the original charge, they wanted to charge me another $24. When I questioned this, the manager became even more rude and was shouting at me. Mistakes can happen, but how you treat your customers when mistakes happen matters. A simple apology and professional communication would have made a huge difference. Very disappointing experience. I do not recommend ordering online from this location.

Super pillowy steamed bun with ube halaya/jam in the center! Great cozy snack. I also tried the chicken asado one; eh, it was alright as the chicken filling was a little too gloopy for my liking. Anyway, yes this mart is ***fantastic*** if you're looking for hard-to-find Asian food goodies. This mart advertises the ability of customers to request specific items to be sold here, and the owners evidently are receptive to such requests (I mean, there's a freezer corner just dedicated to fruit-shaped ice cream lol). Also, I appreciate that interior-wise it's just an old-school bodega-style mart lol nothing overly trendy like j-pop/k-pop blaring in the store. Good shopping experience for me. :p No fuss with lot parking at all when I visited on an early afternoon Sunday.

Most recently, we had a 10% off coupon that stated in large writing it expired in 7 days, only to be told there was a different expiration date hidden in much smaller print. We were only a few hours past the cutoff, and instead of offering any understanding or trying to help, the staff argued about it. Most companies with decent customer service would honor something like that. As someone with 15+ years in customer service, it's disappointing to see an establishment with so much potential fall so short in this area. The staff comes across as cold, monotone, and uninterested in helping customers. To make matters worse, there seems to be little to no manager or lead support available to assist with bigger issues. Unfortunately, the customer service here has been a zero every time I've visited.
