The staff was very friendly and straightforward with pricing. They had a good selection of nail colors. Now the not so good... They're overpriced. My pedicure was a paint job for $35. The tech didn't even clip my nails (literally not one clip) and barely took off the dead skin. I'm not sure how the other techs are, but I'm not going to come back. I don't trust their level of experience with my nails. It was that bad. Update: I originally put 2 stars, then I got home and realized the girl didn't even file my nails. She only buffed them! Absolute waste of money. Lesson learned--pay attention to nail techs, because I was more concerned with being polite and not staring, which they took advantage of. read more

I cannot say enough incredible things about JVA day spa! To start things off, it is the most immaculate/clean nail salon I have ever been to. Newly remodeled, and the spa is literally glowing!! Jenny (the owner) and her husband, Son, are two of the friendliest, most down to earth people I have ever met, and genuinely made me feel right at home the minute I walked in the door. I got a gel pedi, and SNS mani and they both turned out flawless thanks to Jenny.. she is so skilled, and spent 2 hours working on my horrid nails. I have never been so happy with my nails before- she came up with the perfect shape for my hands, and made the texture of the sns powder so even (many times I've had it done and it turns out bumpy). For anyone with doubts of going to a nail spa during covid, it is very apparent they have implemented all the possible measures. - All clients and technicians must wear a face mask at all times - You are asked to immediately wash your hands upon entering (even before signing in) - Plexi glass dividers have been installed between all mani/pedi stations. They have also decreased the number of seats at the mani stations to allow for more distance, and are not seating anyone next to each other in the pedi chairs. - They are using ALL disposable tools. I watched her open a brand new package before beginning my pedi and dispose of it once she had finished working with me. All in all, this will be my new go to nail spa and I cannot encourage you enough to give it a try. I can't wait to go back in 3 weeks :) read more

I have been trying to find a decent nail salon in Arlington and was unsuccessful until finding this gem!!!! I went in today and had my nails painted by Linda. Great service and so so so friendly. She did an AMAZING job on my nails and was super patient with me ( despite me taking forever to find a color). The owner is taking appropriate safety measures to protect employees and clients from covid exposure. I cannot speak highly enough of JVA Day Spa, I have been going to Bon for SNS manicures for almost 2 years and will not let anyone else touch my nails now! He works fast and can have my color change done in an hour or less but has careful attention to detail and my nails will last for over a month without chipping or peeling! I went to JVA today for an acrylic gel fill-in and Bon did a great job as always. I've gone to Bon for over a year and half for my acrylics, so I had to follow him to JVA after he moved from another salon. My nails always come out looking great, he has perfected a coffin shape, and always knows what kind of style and color will look good on my nails. I know that I can always trust him to consistently make sure my nails looks perfect. Not only is he a super talented nail tech, but he also has great customer service, and I look forward to our monthly fill-ins. JVA is also a nice, clean, and new salon in a great location! Came here a day ago to get a mani pedi and was greeted by friendly staff, and a clean environment. Pedicure was decent, no complaints. I asked for Gel X on my fingers and am very disappointed in the results. There are clumps of gel left over, and many of the nails are tilted upwards. I asked a few times during the service to please make sure the extra gel was removed and while some was filed down, there's still a lot left. Overall a sloppy job in my opinion so while it might be good for general service, I don't recommended it for Gel X. read more

Back again. So, instead of trying to rectify the situation, the manager called me and asked "can I do them a favor and take down the review." You can't make this stuff up. This was an HONEST review after going to them for YEARS. You can see my first review was over two years ago. They should have focused on providing good customer service and rectifying the situation by giving me my money back or offering a free service the next time. They also tried to say "I didn't show up to get it fixed." I told them I was rushing away to a work trip and may not be able to make it. Meanwhile my appointments with them are constantly shifted. Calling customers to change reviews instead of trying to fix it is unprofessional. 1 star + I'm never going back there. They lost a high tipping customer! read more

3 stars because Jenny is great... go to Jenny if you do decide to try this place out- I had a very poor experience with another nail tech... I'm a firm believer that if you cannot do something you shouldn't agree to doing it especially if the customer is paying. I asked if I could do the design in the picture below, and the nail tech said yes. Once she finished painting the blue and white lines I said... can we do the rest of the design? She then told me they do not have the foil stickers and that she wasn't able to do the black leaf.... really?!?! Why did I waste an hour sitting there when you can't complete the design?!?! $65 WASTED. Honestly so upset about the outcome and response of the tech that I'm not coming back here. Now I'm with nails that look terrible and I'm not looking to pay ANOTHER $65 else where for someone to fix it... read more

I just got my nails done by Bon here - he's fantastic! Super friendly, and was able to offer me all sorts of services (dip, acrylic, chrome) and help me choose the shape I wanted. The salon is very clean, parking is easy enough on the street outside, and the prices are comparable to local spas. Bon did a great job with doing my color - my nails have already lasted quite a few weeks. I'll be coming back here regularly to get my nails done with him. read more

Jenny did my nails, I wanted to get acrylics at first but she talked me into getting the SNS dip with extensions added on.
