Make a reservation. Period. We were greeted immediately, seated promptly, and I launched into my very thorough list of gluten-free questions. Reyder (?) assured me--clearly and confidently--that they take celiac very seriously, which immediately put me at ease. From there? Perfection. We ate so much and enjoyed every single bite. The menu offers an impressive number of celiac-safe appetizers and mains, and the flavors were bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. Nothing felt like an afterthought. The sweet plantains were the grand finale--and worth every bite. Huge portions. Incredible flavor. Reasonably priced. And most importantly: celiac safe. This is how it should be done.

Hubby and I came here for lunch. I had the empanadas two were chicken and one was beef. Crunchy outside and good amount inside. Hubby got the Cubano sandwich which came with a drink of our choice, allowing me to decide. Chose pineapple. He also got a side which was black beans. Mario sat us quickly and attended to our needs. One stall women's restroom which was very clean. Street parking was available but limited. We both love this place.

My grandmother was cuban, growing up with Cuban culture it's hard to find authentic Cuban food anywhere in Virginia. This is the place, family owned, great food, and great vibes. Promise it's worth the visit. Wait staff is also almost all family and authentically Cuban!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a Cuban restaurant in Williamsburg, Va. Cuban food is my favorite! I took two friends here for dinner recently. We all loved the variety of menu items and the flavors. Everything was delicious + the service was great. We ordered the K'bola Appetizer Combo, Pechuga a La Plancha, Arroz Frita K'Bola and Picadillo a la Cubana. Everything was so good. I rated this restaurant at four because of one thing- GNATS! Yes-bugs that were indoors, but belong outdoors. We had to swat away gnats during our entire meal. One of my friends killed five. She was our big zapper. I did ask the manager about the situation, which she was aware of, and told her about my friend's quickness with the gnat killing. It was quite the conversation. I'd go back here but I need to be sure the gnats are gone first.

I like the decor of this place lots of stone work on the walls. They also advertise to be 100% Cuban cuisine which I believe 100%.! the food is very delicious. Had this Cuban style pork with their sweet plantains and red bean with pork and a little bit of yucca in it.. remember to get the Yucca fries which are fantastic. But before I go further, I must say me and my husband tried their authentic Cuban sandwich, which is fabulous, but you have to have it with their three sauces. The wonderful part about the sandwiches that it's not mash down flat as a grilled cheese sandwich. It is light, airy, and crispy with plenty of meat and the right slice of Swiss cheese in between.. it wasn't busy for a Monday night, but the service was spot on! We will be back to try some more authentic Cuban food here. Enjoy your new experience.

I was in town for conference, was surprised to find a Cuban place. I stopped by to order dinner to go. I sat at the bar & got a mojito while I waited. I got arroz moro, picadillo, tostones, and some paselitos. I was surprised that my order was ready in less than 10-15 minutes. Everything was delicious! And the paselitos were the perfect size for my breakfast coffee. I'll have to visit Williamsburg more often!

So let me start out by saying my Wifes family is Canadian and has been to Cuba several times on vacation and where very impressed! I of course had to have the Cubano sandwich which was perfect. Wifey had to shrimp and the cocktails were amazing! We come to to Williamsburg alot and this maybe our new permanent stop for dinner after a W&M game!

Was in the area from Jersey and found this Cuban spot. The food took quite long and our server was a bit forgetful because w asked him for a bag and box a few times. We didn't get it until we asked another server. But the drinks while in happy hour were good. My mom had the mojito and I had the tiny margarita husband had an old fashioned- very happy with our drinks. We got croquets of chicken that looked like mozzarella sticks and they were good. I also got the shrimp in garlic sauce also very good. My husband got steak and it was pretty small and tough for the price but still had good flavor. Highlight was the drinks but the food was also good, just the service and long wait for food is what made the place less of an experience. There were other servers there that were a bit more friendly, and the outdoor seating seemed a little nice since the music was playing . We sat inside where you could barely hear any music at all.

Ordered a Cuban sandwich with a side of maduros. The food was good and authentic. However, the maduros were on the hairy edge of being overcooked. The service was prompt and the place was clean. I do wish they had better hours. 11-2 seems a bit restrictive. Overall an enjoyable experience.

The wait staff helped guide us when ordering. The food and service was amazing! We loved everything about our meal!

No, reservations aren't required. It's not a big place, so if you want to ensure to have a table, it's highly recommended.

Yes - I had the option to choose from their sides.

We weren't sure where the restaurant was located within the building so we stopped to ask where the Terrace a room was at a hostess stand where three women were working. They all stared at us like we had dropped from the sky and then one woman gestured down the hall. Except it wasn't down the hall. We were in fact at the Terrace Room hostess stand. Sort of an odd beginning. We were seated at a two top with one chair and a couch with huge pillows scattered all over that left no room to actually sit. Had to toss them to the center of the couch to squeeze in. The menus are giant in size so it's hard to lay them down on the small table. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We started off with a bourbon cocktail that included some candied ginger and was very refreshing. The server gave us each a small cube of bread and some butter. It was sort of comical how miserly they were with the bread. The menu offerings were sort of odd but we were able to watch what other tables ordered to make our selections. The entree prices are pretty hefty. We each got a Caesar Salad to start that was good. We both settled on the brisket sandwich (a July Fourth special) and one of us got the fries and the other a side of summer veggies that was squash & zucchini. The sandwich was okay but nothing grand for $21 and the veggie side caused us to both explode with laughter at how meager it was. C'mon folks, squash is dirt cheap so load it up. Absolutely ridiculous. Their wine selections were not super familiar to us and pricey but they give you an ample pour. The Inn itself is very beautiful and the night stars shimmering on the reflecting pool out front is very romantic. I'd recommend a drink at the bar and skipping the $200 dinner for two.

It was awe inspiring to think Jefferson and Washington ate and drank here after House of Burgess meetings. We made a reservation on Open Table for an early dinner since we were traveling the next day. (No lunch reservations taken). They are set up in various rooms throughout the house and the servers and staff are dressed in colonial garb. They speak and serve in old school Fashion which is delightful. They even had a gentleman walking around playing music from the time period. I enjoyed a Rummer refreshing cocktail while hubby had an Apple Jack old Fashioned. The drinks average $15. They also have a fine assortment of wines. They brought a bread basket with super fresh bread and mini corn muffins. They also brought whipped butter, a Virginia ham spread and corn relish. All excellent! We saw peanut soup in several places and ordered it here. It was very different. Very peanutty and super filling. I ordered the crab croquettes which were flaky and delicious. The sauce had just a bit of zing and completed the flavor profile perfectly. Our server Lynette was such a sweet lady. I adored her and she even tied the giant napkins for us to prevent spills and mess. (It was super hot though and we took them off eventually) For dinner, hubby got the beef steak. It had a seasoned butter was cooked medium rare, exactly as hubby asked for. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delish. Also came with perfectly cooked stemmed carrots and string beans. It was a little pricey at $58, but you are also paying for the experience and atmosphere. I was a bit full from the bread, muffins and croquettes, but dug into my onion pye. It was served in a deep tin, covered in a flakey crust and topped with an over light egg, fun onions and scallions. It also came fresh veggies. So yummy!

There tends to be a line to get in if you don't have a reservation, but we were seated soon after we got in line around 1:45pm. Their menu is sourced from recipes from the colonial era and the staff are all dressed in the latest colonial fashion. I ordered the fish sandwich which I thought was too salty (perhaps this is period accurate) but my family really liked it. I liked the chips it was served with! I also tried the peanut soup which tasted like drinking peanut butter and I'm not sure if that's for me, but my brother loved it. I had a bit of the beef hash which was pretty tasty! I also had the chocolate tart which was very chocolatey. For a drink we had the non alcoholic orange ginger peach bowl, which served our family of 5 just fine for $16. There was entertainment during our meal, a woman came around and sang a colonial song before taking out a recorder and playing a dancing song. This was fun! Our waitress rubbed us the wrong way. She repeated our order several times to us because she was not writing it down. I was not confident we would get the right food. When we tried to add other things she made us wait since she was busy committing everything to memory. She seemed annoyed when we put in other orders for food, but she did bring us an extra peanut soup "in case" we wanted another one, since we had put in an order for a soup after we initially ordered. She did not really seem keen on serving us. The service was slow, too. At the end of the meal, she put something of ours on another table's check, then took our check back to add what she missed. There was also a bowl of soup on our check that we did not order and the card was charged twice, plus another $18 charge. Not sure what ye olde POS system they're using back there...
