Restaurant has been closed for two years. Should be taken down from website. Long ride for nothing.

The food was amazing. I had pasta, my mother had the steak tips. Both meals were great. The staff was wonderful, it's a hidden gem.

You could feel the energy as soon as you walked in. The bartenders were definitely in the weeds most of the night, but you'd never know it from their attitude -- still friendly, still smiling, and somehow making me feel like I'd been coming there for years (first visit, by the way). Grabbed a veggie pizza (solid choice), a cold beer, and settled in for a couple of hours of great local music and that perfect "this is exactly where I'm supposed to be tonight" vibe. If this is what a random Saturday looks like here, I'll be back.

Review: Jack's Restaurant and Bar - A Tale of Two Temperatures…read moreIf you're looking for a spot in Falmouth where the vibes are high but the Celsius is... conservative, Jack's Restaurant and Bar is your destination. I went in with high hopes and a healthy appetite. Here's the breakdown of our culinary "Goldilocks" experience--except nothing was actually hot. The Order The Boneless Ribeye: This steak was seasoned to perfection and tender enough to make a grown man cry. It had the soul of a five-star meal, but the temperature of a brisk October morning on Old Silver Beach. I'm convinced the chef cooked it beautifully and then gave it a pep talk in a room-temperature hallway for ten minutes before sending it out. The Scallops: My companion's scallops were seared wonderfully. They looked like little pillows of heaven. Unfortunately, they were also roughly the same temperature as actual pillows. Delicious? Yes. Did they require a scarf? Possibly. The "Lukewarm" Mystery It's honestly an impressive feat of physics. To have a crust that crisp on a ribeye and a sear that golden on a scallop, yet have both arrive with the thermal energy of a glass of tap water, defies the laws of thermodynamics. Pro Tip: If you're the type of person who always burns their tongue on the first bite, Jack's is your safe haven. You can dive in with the reckless abandon of a seagull hitting a discarded fry. The Verdict The food at Jack's is legitimately tasty. The flavors are 10/10, the bar scene is lively, and the service is friendly. We didn't even send it back because, frankly, we were too busy enjoying the flavor to care about the lack of steam. It's the only place I've been where the "warm" welcome applies to the steak, too. Final Score: (Four stars--would have been five, but I had to check my ribeye for a pulse to see if it was hibernating.)

This review is strictly for their event, space and event coordinator, Aja…read more I got married here on October 5, 2024 and the venue was nothing short of perfect. I had been working with Aja for about 10 months before my wedding and she had made the process as easy as it can possibly be. She assured me that her staff members were very professional and able to decorate the venue in a way I would love. I would recommend working with her again! We had our ceremony on the beach and it was set up like something out of a fairytale. We were blessed to have a beautiful day without any clouds in the sky, but even if it wasn't perfect weather, the ceremony was gorgeous either way. I am very meticulous and I did leave detailed instructions for her staff to follow and they followed it to an absolute t. I have confidence that even if I didn't leave instructions, the venue would've been set up nearly perfect. The food at our wedding was delicious, we had steak tips and chicken piccata. The appetizers were great, although I didn't get to try all of them because we had to take pictures. My only complaint is that I wasn't able to help set up the venue the night before my wedding. That would have eased a lot of my nerves, but nonetheless, her staff did a phenomenal job making the venue stunning!

Our food was marginal-corn chowder/shrimp casserole however, the burger was good- and all probably priced an extra 25% higher due to the location. Definitely a seaside vibe as drinks served in plastic cups and , at least in our case, our server was apparently fresh out of school, somewhat inexperienced and distracted with the number of tables she had to service. We are "year rounders" and have seen the transition of this establishment from the original Casino/Wharf since 1976. Again, the view/location for the beach scene is great but for food/pricing- there are better choices in Falmouth.

We were traveling from New York and thought we would stop for dinner.Bad idea!!…read more First off, it wasn't very busy. The server was slow but polite. She also apologized for the table not being clean.." it still needs to be wiped down, but have a seat." We then ordered our two beverages and waited about 10 minutes until we asked about our beverages. She kindly went and got them and then finally wiped the table down.Thats not even the worst part.We order the standard bar burger w fries.Wait for it.... There was an extra guest on my husband's plate!!!! Yup, a huge spider!!!! Upon notifying the waitress, she seemed surprised or thought he was lying- He wasn't going to eat his food but still offered to pay for it.She kindly took it off the bill..But come on- This situation makes Dive bars look like 5 stars!! Never again if we are in Falmouth..

Very loud with local regulars yelling at and to each other across the bar area. Also, the music was pretty loud. The server/bartender/hostess was very pleasant and efficient. Menu has a decent selection. Prices seemed reasonable for the area. Ordered steak tips with fries and a side salad with pecan pie for dessert. Presentation was what you would expect since I ordered takeout. The tips were actually quite good and cooked exactly how I asked for them. The fries were krinkle cut and looked baked not fried but they were actually nice & crisp and not greasy. The salad was pretty basic but it had a good Italian dressing on the side. And the pie was store-bought but it was very tasty so no real complaint there. Basically, if you're getting takeout or enjoy loud annoying people around a bar...give this place a try.
