my party of 2 walked into the restaurant and the front lady made a face, we were rushed to order and leave the restaurant, the lady tried giving herself a $10 tip on a $50 tab, and kept making faces and remarks, Unclean establishment due to ants being on the table . We got egg rolls, fried rice , and regular pho, the egg rolls were good but the fried rice was bland and the pho was mostly broth. The waiter also dropped our fried rice on the edge of the table and walked off. Also the atmosphere was unwelcoming and dead, their wasn't any other customers. This is not asian fusion, Its more of a confusion. Bibimbap is so under seasoned, the rice under and egg on top were as cold as the pickled veggies. Tonkatsu chicken is as rubbery as my flip flops, not sure if it was overly microwaved. Im giving 5 stars for Bulgogi fries. However, I think they are overpriced. I ordered 2 Thai teas one with boba and one without have the same price (was it a mistake?) almost $8 for a small cup; so Im taking away 2 stars. read more

I went to a new place to try out but they were closed, so I fired up my Yelp! app and ended up coming here....what a great way to find this place. I ordered the pork bibimbap bowl. Bowl was great...good flavor, very filling. Egg was perfectly cooked. It would have been five stars but they need to trim that pork....I had to spit out a few pieces as they were too grizzly . I also chomped down hard on something...it may have been an uncooked piece of rice or a little piece of pork bone, but I had to chew the rest of my meal carefully as I didn't want to crack a crown. While the pork had good flavor, I would probably try a different protein next time. That being said, it would not deter me from returning and trying some more of their offerings. Ate here a couple times in the past/recently, but each time I'd say it was a bit of a disappointing flop. Only reason I come here is because of others wanting to try or I don't have to pay. It's supposed to be Korean food, but it always tastes like something made by someone who doesn't know anything about Korean food, or someone who had it once but that food was already Americanized/watered down, which is what this place is like. I mean, I understand it's Rancho, but if you're trying to serve a certain culture's food, at least know a little about it lol. Don't get me wrong, some items are good, like the chicken katsu, but the ramen is literally just packaged instant ramen, the teokbokki was watery (and the egg we requested with it came out as a fried sunny side up egg....its supposed to be a hardboiled egg......smh), and anything else is just fusion stuff (which I admit I havent tried). Seems like I'm eating out of a restaurant version of a food truck, down to the cheap paper plates (the red/white checkered kind) and flimsy forks. Also, didn't know Jamaica and horchata were Korean drinks lol (although I appreciated the Jamaica was good). Overall, edible food if youre hungry and just want something decent, but don't expect anything like authentically Korean, and even for what they have some dishes could be better. Clean and designed well at least, and they have snacks for sale by the counter which is sort of neat I guess. Used to go here for their curry chicken but today i decided to try something new. Dont order this korean beef ramen, its just cheap noodles from a packet and threw in some fillings. I'd honestly rather eat nongshim instant noodles over this overpriced item. Also their sizzling beef plate is just a chewy beef bulgogi in a fancier plate, it says on their menu that it comes with a side of steam rice but when the order came, they gave me a bread and the cashier said that theres been some changes with the menu, at least let us know that you did. Wanted to find a Korean corn dog like Top Dog in Rowland Heights (our favorite place!). Soooo we came to KTowne as it was highly rated. The food was pretty good here at KTowne. Now in comparison to Top Dog in regards to corn dogs - I have to say it doesn't even come close. Don't get me wrong it was good but its just a corn dog LOL. Kiddos got a cheese corn dog and it was just that - nothing too special but it was good. Munchkin had 2! I also ordered the bulgogi quesadilla taco which I have to say is a must! This was absolutely amazing!!! I am definitely coming back for that! Kiddos also got a chicken bowl, the meat was a little salty for them and they weren't big fans of the pepper and sesame seeds but it was still pretty good. Although no one can come close to top dog this was a good place to come for us - if we don't feel like making the drive to Rowland heights. The owner was super nice and staff were super friendly. Prices are similar to all places - with like any corn dog ranging from $6-$7. I think we spent $32 on 2 cheese corn dogs, side of regular fries, 1 bulgogi quesa taco, 1 chicken kids bowl and a coke. So it wasn't too bad. We ate outside and it was nice. Quiet and cool. The area is nice and there's plenty of room inside and outside! We came by again this afternoon for lunch. And the lady at the cashier was friendly! She welcomed us and took our orders. We got the pork tacos, bulgogi fries, carbonara ramen, and soy & garlic chicken wings. The food takes a while to come out, and it doesn't disappoint when it does! The bulgogi fries are so great to share (or not). The pork tacos are flavorful and satisfying. The carbonara ramen isn't my favorite because it is heavy on the cream, and the noodle is a tad overcooked, I think its good to share too, so you can taste it and try other things on the menu. The soy & garlic chicken wings actually have a bit of a kick to it, crispy skin, tender, and juicy meat. We also ended up getting the mozarella cheese corn dog. I picked up food for a quick lunch with my cousin before our study date, and it's been years since I've eaten anything from here. We ordered a beef bibimbap, a beef tofu soup, and the bulgogi fries, which was ready in approximately thirty minutes. In my opinion, the beef bibimbap and beef tofu soup were both overpriced for the quality that was delivered. The beef tofu soup in particular was somehow super oily, and it wasn't long before my cousin and I were laughing at the sight of each other's whole mouths slicked over with reddish-orange oil. The flavor of the beef tofu soup was surprisingly on the blander side for all the spicy oil that was present in the broth. However, for how lackluster we found the bibimbap and the tofu soup, we really enjoyed the bulgogi fries. The sauce drizzled on top of the tower of fries, cheese, and finely chopped bulgogi was at once tangy and creamy, and we found ourselves proclaiming between our heavily-laden forkfuls that the fries were so good. Which they were! Carne asada fries' Korean-American cousin. I would definitely recommend that if one is craving bibimbap or tofu soup with a more authentic, traditional taste, a non-fusion Korean restaurant would be able to satisfy that craving at an equal or lower price point. However, Ktowne88 did so well with their bulgogi fries that it makes me curious about their other K-fusion offerings. read more

The location is easy to access and is located in a shopping center with many things to do if you are looking to pass the time and wait out the traffic. The location has plenty of seating for large groups, or you can go alone and sit outside for some fresh air, or inside in the cool AC. There are many options on the menu which range from vegetarian dishes to American style loaded fries better known on the menu as Bulgogi Fries. Menu and prices: The food options are great in variety dependent on what kind of diet you are on, or splurge you want to partake in for the evening lol. The traditional chicken and rice meal that you find in a Hawaiian BBQ place is called the Chicken Tonkatsu but with a greater flavor for only $13.00. A great price for a good meal. Kids meals are a rice bowl with beef, chicken or fried chicken as an option; and ramen as a second option for a meal. As our first time visiting, we asked for the popular dishes and we were directed to the board since everything is great. We stuck with familiar meals because we were craving them, but the employee was extremely helpful in narrowing down the options. Very courteous and hospitable. Accessibility. Seating and Restrooms Restrooms on site are limited with two unisex bathrooms and no changing tables for baby's, so plan ahead if you take kids in a diaper. Seating, on the other hand, is plentiful with both outdoor and indoor seating. The location is not operated as a sit down restaurant which makes it easier when you have impatient children that want to sit down and eat. They offer crayons and coloring book pages for the kids in the event the food takes a little time or if you are meeting up for lunch after a play date nearby. The location is easily accessible with a stroller but the doors are not automatic so that would be the only challenge when getting in and out of the building. After my observation however, I think the employees would gladly help as they are constantly cleaning and restocking. This is a well maintained, trendy location with great tasting food. The identity may be a little confusing but the food is great... and if you want to have the food delivered, you can use grubhub which is always a bonus! read more

I've always passed this location and wondered what type of food it is and if I should try it. I'm glad I stopped by because it's worth trying. They have a pretty big location and outside seating as well. This is great because at times I will want to bring my dog. I tried the bulogi fries. The fries were crunchy, beef was flavorful and the sauce was perfect. I tried the tofu soup- beef and it was flavorful and good I wish it was a little more spicier. OMG...This place is BOMMMB!!!! I love Asian food and Korean food has a special place in my heart. I love Korean BBQ. K-Town 88 fuses everything you love about every type of food. I got the spicy beef rice it was soo good. It has so much flavor, spice it is everything you want. They give you A LOT of meat, I actually like rice but can't be mad at more meat. Not only is the food good but they were super nice and and good customer service. I am still eating my rice bowl but I sometimes forget to give reviews. I also like the location. It was in a quiet area so you can sit and enjoy your food. In LA, food that tastes like this usually is downtown so it is nice to be able to sit down and enjoy good Korean food that isn't Korean BBQ on a open flame. I cannot wait to go back when I can sit down. The presentation of their food is pretty cool too...from what I saw. This will definitely be added to my regular rotation. Try it! Came in on my way to the mall. First time here so I asked what they recommend. They recommended the bulgogi fries. I'm not huge on bulgogi fries because I grew up eating bulgogi 5 times a week but I was glad that they weren't just trying to get me to buy some of the more expensive items. The bulgogi fries came out in about 3 to 5 minutes, didn't even have much time to browse social media before it came out. The fries are delicious! They have little bits if kimchi and green onions and a ton of fries, bulgogi, and their crazy sauce. They piled up a huge amount of cheese as well. I love the service. It's not a fancy dine in restaurant and you will order at the front and pay there. The register lady was very patient with all my questions and allowed me several minutes to think of my choice. The head chef was the one that ultimately recommended the bulgogi fries but he took the time to point out a few items on the menu as well. It had cabbage, pork belly, onions, and cucumbers. It was good but kinda bland. Also, the noodles were overcooked. I typically eat the mandarin style zhajiangmian. Good portion tho, I had it for two meals. They have two types of banchan everyday and they rotate which ones they serve. Today they had kimchi and radish. They also have complimentary hot barley tea.
