When you see the website it seems it will be different than any other place but it is nothing different from a local kart place but more expensive. You walk in and nobody welcome you in, the person at the desk is checking people in and you just hope you are in the right place. I paid for everything online but it makes no difference than paying in there, you still have to go trough the same wait. The music was so slow that you wanted to sleep, you get there pumped for an experience but everything seems to be telling you "naaaah". Now we head to the waiting area, EVERY SINGLE table is dirty, trash from other customers ok the table nobody at the bar it looked abandoned. Now it's your turn, the staff isn't friendly at all, they move through people as if they were directing a kettle. The guys who explained how things worked didn't even came to the front of my group, from behind the fence moved us close to the kart and pointed how things worked, didn't explain flags or mentioned anything about safety other than don't bump on each other. There was a tiny white board with some handwritten notes on it, "really"? The karts are nice, but my wife's kart was set slower than all the others, she was also the only woman, so I guess if you are woman they will slow you down, what the heck?! Now we are racing against time and nobody is on the course, so if someone slow is in front of you blocking everybody from passing by, nobody is using flags and you better pray nobody spins because if someone does and one of them needs to go there help with the car your kart will go slow but the laps will still count. Overall it was fun and I see the potential of being different then a regular local kart that you just keep your foot down the pedal, but so far right now it is just more expensive nothing different. Training the staff to be receptive and having enough people to run the place the way it should would transform this place. I'd not recommend this place at the moment because of the premium price and same experience as the regular family go kart places around, but I'd love to see it working as it should and come back. read more

A lot of potential but no organization whatsoever which made us ended up waiting 2 hours just to be told we would have to wait till the group that reserve to be done and that group ended up waiting another hour and half before they could go. I figured hey could get some food while I wait to see what happens but they had no one working the snack bar/bar and waited twenty minutes there with several other customers. At that point I was ready to leave. I went back into line for another half and hour and I asked for a refund and a receipt for my refund but was not provided the receipt. I asked a second time and then I was told I should get an email receipt for my refund in two hours. Well next day and still no receipt and have to drive back there (45 minutes away) to get a receipt to verify they process the refund. While the gentleman was polite (shift supervisor) I shouldn't have to asked multiple times for a receipt and still walked away like I was being ignored. read more

What a rip off, 60 bucks for 3 races with over 20 minutes of waiting between each race, couldn't even get to race for over 2 hours. They wouldn't even answer the phone, we called and the only response we got was from some dumb robot answering machine. We couldn't even find out how long the wait was until we had driven a hour and a half just to realize that we couldn't race until two hours later. Brought my kids here while we were visiting Dallas. I'm definitely a fan now. I thought this place was going to have slow turtle moving cars. OHHH NO! These joints move and move quick on the track! They can limit the speed when there's and incident or with less experienced drivers but with speeds of 45MPH on the track with 10 or 11 other people. The rush was there for the kiddos. I was not a fan of the wait time. So if you are on a time sensitive schedule, don't go. They waited about a hour and 45 minutes for their first race and in between, it took about 30-45 minutes for the to race again. They do have concessions, pool tables and other games while you wait. read more

Visited tonight to celebrate a friend's birthday. I was surprised that there weren't very many people there, especially on a Friday evening. That had an upside though; when it was our turn to race, we breezed through the steps and hopped in our cars. Before you pay, there are computers you have to go to to set up an account and accept a waiver. Then you sign the waiver at the cash register and select your races. You can do a race for $19.99 or 2 for $35 or 3 for $45. You also pay a $6 license fee that is good for the whole year and receive a K1 Speed racing card that can be used anywhere. When you are ready to race, one of the staff members walks you through the rules, how to work the car, and then a couple of staff members help you put on a freshly laundered head sock and helmet. I was really impressed at how clean and well-kept everything was, from the cars to the helmets, to the facility. After the rules are explained, you can get in the cars and then off you go! The 14 laps that come with one race go by really fast. It was an interesting experience. I think you have to be the right kind of person to enjoy this. Not that I didn't, but I think I was too uptight and cautious. Had I let loose a little I might have whipped curves and then come in first or second place! It's definitely worth a try. it looks like you can do parties there and they have a racing league for kiddoes, which is pretty cool. Neat place! read more

Our family have been fans of K1 speed tracks for a few years now after we discovered them on a vacation to San Antonio. The kid was super stoked when we heard one was opening in the DFW area! We have been a couple times now and again Kuddos! You guys have some pretty awesome young people working there. All where helpful, respectful, knowledgable, and kept everyone in line and following the rules of the track. I can not tell you how awesome it is to see teenager/young adults taking their jobs and responsibilities seriously. My son likes this track layout a little better than the one in San Antonio. The quality of the karts is awesome and they are fast. They have both junior and normal style karts. You have to be at least 4'10 to drive the normal karts. The snacks area has a goods variety and the game area to hang out in while waiting for your next race is smart. It can get pretty busy, it cN take you 30 to 60 min to run two races on a busy day. The only Pitts is there is no free wifi.. This would be a great addition for parents and an opportunity to connect with your guest. Also it is a bit pricey. This is def a treat for my kiddo. We would be open to visiting more if there were more specials or a frequent visitors card. All in all it's a great family environment for aged 7 and up. Also an awesome date night option. Went with my work group last night and it was less than great. Sure the racing was fun but the excessive turns slowed down the thrill. Worst part though was I walked in and wondered waiting to be helped for 5 mins while 4 employees just chatted and sat on phones towards the back of the building. I was the only one aside from 1 other group of 3. They moved super slow and expected us to know what to do upon entering. Horrible customer service overall. I had a great time here with my family at K1 Speedway. Our assistant Dominic was friendly and energetic, and also made sure we were safe during our races. He also was kind enough to take our pictures. All of the other attendants had great attitudes and made sure we we had everything we needed. The Go Karts are electric and go 40 mph. Went to the Arlington location last night for my little brothers birthday. Let me start by saying the overall experience was great. Brooke seems to be an absolute rockstar for K1. She was running every where keeping all the races lined up while still being friendly, and offering a few pointers to go faster. Also a man named Gradey I believe, was also very pleasant and helpful. They really made the experience better. These two deserve praises! On the other hand....there was a girl working the front desk that should be fired today! When we walked in she was behind the desk, and had her three friends (who did not have masks on) crowded around her blocking all the sign in computers repeatedly asking if she could get them free races. Instead of having them step aside so Paying customers could sign in she continued to talk to them while trying to check us in one at a time. She could not even answer simple questions about the K1 specials and the pricing difference. Lucky for y'all at K1 you had Brooke and Grady who saved the night.. read more

My first experience at a K1. Went with a couple guys who go all the time in another city and it was terrible. 0 stars for every worker we encountered, just bad service. The course was very small and short. They allowed way too many people to race at once, 6-7 at once. It was not very busy and we asked if our party of 3 could have one race together, we paid for 3. They said it was too busy, never more than 7-10 people while we were there. As soon as we got done with our last race they allowed a group of three to race together. This place's management is basically nonexistent. when we got here (as a groups of 5) we were "greeted" by a not very talkative guy. we paid for our 2 races and got a 3rd one free, thinking we got a good deal we were pretty happy since the place is so expensive. we waited 30ish minutes for our first race which we thought wasn't bad. after our first race we got some drinks and sat down for about 3 hours while a group of a bunch of guys kept tipping the works to get to go back to back. the worker kept promising we were "up next" so we kept waiting. eventually we got fed up and we went up front to ask for refunds. the manager got so upset and told us she "doesn't even work here" she walked away and left us alone at the counter. the poor guy that was running back and forth from the food counter to the front counter doing all the work helped us. he had to go get the "manager's keycard" so he could provide us our refunds. i definitely DO NOT recommend K1 Speed. read more

We did not finish our races until 4:30. the food was okay and the arcade only had 4 games. I wasted my entire day here and we had other plan we kept being told that we were up up next to race and heard other people going before us and our youngest could not race with us because of his height even though he was over the height for adult karts. And they were out of basically every food optlion except for chicken wings, burgers, chicken tenders, and pizza. in all my life I have never been to a restaurant that was out of French fries. Got cash to burn but not gas to burn? K1 Speed is for you. You get to have a spendy date while driving gokarts that are freaking electric! The cars are surprisingly fast for being what they are. I was actually nervous driving them. Paul H. and I went at a unique time (late Friday night) so we didn't have to wait for our turn andddd we didn't have to yield to other people because it was just the two of us on the track. Pretty much how it works is pretty simple. You pay to play. You get a quick safety lesson about the car, what the flags mean,helmet fitting and then off you go. I wish we got more laps (we got 14 I think) because it was over in less than a few minutes. I would be pretty pissed if I waited an hour to drive and only to realize the actual driving experience only lasted a few minutes. You are also racing against time and not other people so it would benefit you if there weren't a lot of cars on the track because they will make you yield to a faster driver. Since I didn't have to wait long and paid using a Groupon, I had a great experience. The staff was really nice too. Everyone seemed so chill and friendly. read more

The go carting itself was fun but we paid for a party which was 2 races at a reserved time and then found out it was cheaper to just pay for two races without the party. They said the difference was we would have no wait time for our group( at the time the wait time was supposed to be 2 hours) . Our reso was for 3 pm. We didn't start until almost 330 and that was because I went up and made a stink about it. And then we didn't get two races back to back, they had 2 other walk in groups of other people that raced before we got our second round. What is the point in paying $20 a person more for that. It seems like a way to rip people off. The staff they helped us get into our carts and race were pretty nice but other than that I give it a thumbs down! Very disappointed read more

I am simply flabbergasted. Don't take your business to this place. The employees did not mention a mandatory membership you have to purchase as a first time driver. 1 ride is already expensive, but with that added membership you end up paying $40. No refund was available either. The time they take at the register and to set you up takes longer than the actual ride. Tremendously disappointed. So this is my fourth or fifth time going here, and my last. Lastnight we tried to enjoy a birthday outing with my girls. The first race, apparently a parent by the name of Charlene Duewall, decides that she is upset about the racing, and calls my girls (13-14yr old) black bitches and black mfrs and so on. This is brought to the attention of the manager Emily, who does nothing. So when I defend my girls, Emily get mad and call the cops. Now Emily and Charlene play victims.. When the APD arrive, they of course dont hear us, they just ask us to leave.. At first Emily wasn't gonna give me my money back, but when the cops show up she does.. This entire time, Charlenes son is apologizing to us saying his mother is wrong, but not the mother.. The cops not hearing none of it!! If you are thinking of coming to k1 TURN AROUND and DO NOT come! If I could give this place a zero I would with no hesitation. We paid and signed up at 4pm. We waited 1 hr before our first race which is understandable but then we waited another 2.5 hours and did not get to race again. We asked staff when we should expect the next race and they kept promising "it's next". There were a group of guys who kept getting to race over and over knocking everyone back. They kept "tipping" the workers at the gates to let them continue on the track. When we tried to speak with a manager she would not let us speak and said "I don't know what you want I don't even work here" yes she did and was in a work shirt and was helping other workers there. It was a total shit show and we simply asked to get a refund and we would be on our way since we waiting so long patiently and did not want to wait anymore. We were told that wasn't possible at first but was finally helped by a guy named Randy. He was the only person that helped anyone there and was running around running the entire place. However was not informed that since I was racing in a group that the first person to finish their 12 laps the rest of us got cut short on whatever lap we were on when they finished. so I only got to do 9 of my 12 laps I paid for. this should have been mentioned in the beginning. read more

ESPECIALLY if theres more than 3 people racing The track is no where near big enough to hold more than 4 people max. Me and my husband loved this place. We came last year on a weekend but it was completely dead. My husband loves high speed so he will give it a 3-4 star but I give it a 1 star. There is a small section to the side with like 6 games and somewhere to eat but no one was there and the races are so short. Recently stopped in on Black Friday, and the place was packed with families and friends looking for some holiday fun! Even with the crowd, the wait times were minimal and the staff was pleasant. There was a minor delay during one of the races but it was handled quickly and safely and we got back to racing in no time. I've been to a few K1s over the years and can say it's the best place for carting, but this was definitely a standout experience for me. Much thanks to everyone at K1 for an awesome time. The phrase on the door says it all. This place is addicting. Races can be a little pricey but they do offer package deals to make the best of it. I recommend coming in on a weekday so more than likely you will have the track to yourself with your friends. However, we have come in on Friday evenings and it wasn't too crowded either. The staff is really cool and willing to give you tips on how to really improve your time along with being ever safety conscious of the drivers and themselves. Ask for Damien! The carts are just as advertised. If it's your first time they would limit you till they feel you have a good idea on what you're doing, then for the other 10 laps of your 14 lap race you're going full on 45mph through the course. Being a shorter track than most other locations, it's a fast course with many technical turns to negotiate but that makes it just as exciting as any other K1 location. Overall this is my go-to spot to bring friends and family for some excitement and to meet like minded people whether it's other patrons or the staff themselves. This place would definitely make you a returning costumer. read more
