Great if you go with a big group like we did. I think it'd be not as fun if there was only a couple people with you and you were put on the course with some younger kids. Nicest go kart facility around, karts are fast and more importantly they are all evenly matched. Gas go carts will all have slightly different power bands these electric carts allow a fair race. They save yuor race results in a computer so you can track yuor scores if you come regularly. Only down side it is a little expensive and service could be improved but its totally worth it. read more

We had a company event during the weekday here and it was great. We made reservations and got the Grand Prix package (3 races included for each person). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It's a little pricey but it's a memorable event for everyone. At the end, they even gave out trophies and we had a nice company photo emailed to us. The winners enjoy displaying their trophies on their desk. read more

Their staff take the fun out of the experience, they manipulate the speed of the cars to their liking and you see them smirk about it. We are a group of friends who do carting all the time and our times are similar and it was obvious they were messing up with the cars speed, ruining the whole experience for everyone involved. If I had the time I would sue them, I don't think they understand, the service they provide have an implicit contract, which they violate.!! read more

I brought my family into K1 Speed for a birthday party celebration. I was very pleased with the organization of the staff keeping racers on deck. Facility is small but okay. Price is pretty expensive. 20 bucks before taxes. The thing I didn't like about them is, they make it mandatory for you to buy a card which they call "License" which needs to be renewed every year. And it costs 6 bucks before taxes. It is kind of a prepaid card and they call it "License". Just a way for them to make money. Anyways, I have been here thrice, and it is okayish. read more

This place used to be a lot of fun. Unfortunately these days the karts are so worn that every single race has to stop for fixing one of them or having a participant abandon his kart and switch to another one. I watched 6 races last week-end and participated myself in 3: the 9 races had to be stopped at least once. for mechanical issues. So a 10 min race becomes a 5 min race and a 5 min wait on the track, seated in a kart. That makes the racing minute very expensive. Of course, in these conditions, one can't really race or even improve. Some of the karts are now so slow that you can press the pedal full and not skid once on the entire track. The overhead that used to show lap time is gone, and the young employees don't really watch the races, which means weird signs (e.g. 'No Bump' to a kid that was rammed into by someone on the outside of a turn, or 'yield' to a faster drive, or the checkered flag without a white flag before) read more

This place was very disappointing. Front desk had barely there service. It is mostly a teenager spot, which is weird because it is expensive and you don't get your money's worth. I bought a Groupon and didn't use all of it because I just wanted to leave. No one mans the conessions....they have some video games while you wait, but no quarter machine so that you can actually play. The wait time was supposed to be 30-40 min and it was about 30min which was great. They say no bumping, but my friend was slammed into the back and has whiplash now and nobody did anything to that driver. They slow you to 5mph if you touch the barriers even if someone pushed you into it. The carts weren't comfy if you have any curves or if you are skinny they give you a child booster seat lol They talk/yell at you while your head sock and helmet are on and you can't hear them. They let a child under the age on the track and he didn't know what to do and drove slow holding everyone up and drove in the middle so you couldn't pass him. nobody said sorry or offered a new race even though the kid was flagged multiple times and thrown signs telling him to move over. They ask how it was and when you tell them you are upset with it they do nothing except make an awkward pause...? The place looks cool when you walk in but the track is small and I guess we were expecting a more mature venue. read more

Was rude and not helpful when I asked him a question about an upcoming race. We called from downtown Seattle before heading out and said that we would be there in 20mins. We were told that would not be a problem and turned up to learn that there would be an hour and a half wait because a large party had 'shown up'. When asked, Valaria said that they actually knew that the party was coming in and had not told us that there would be a wait. No apology given or identification with the situation, just a shrug of the shoulders and confirnation that we would definitely need to wait. Track was pretty short anyway and the karts didn't seem to be going that fast. $50 Uber ride each way from downtown Seattle. Best avoid this place to be honest. read more

Did a birthday party here a few years back for my son, price was high but reasonable for a group of 6 on a special occasion. When my son asked to do his party here again this year I called to ask about time availability and cost. Prices have gone up considerably! It is now about 450 bucks to do a kids birthday here, which includes two races and a bunch of plastic medals. Food is not included. First off, you have to buy a "license" which is nothing more than a cheesy credit type card that means nothing for $5.95 each person. It cost us 84.00 for three people to run one (less than) 15 minute race. The two people at the counter were snotty and acted as though they were doing us a favor by "letting" us race. The karts are electric which means they are controlled by a remote. We got the speech before hand about all the rules. When we were out there racing, if you even barely touched another car, such as when one slows in front of you in a curve, they called it bumping and slow your cart way down. The guy with the remote seemed to be on a power trip and even "punished" one of the guys from our group for rear-ending a guy after he checked up at the last minute because one of the nimrods from the business waved him over in the middle of the track! It was an expensive joke! They slowed us down so often, it was hard to even get a good race going. Did I say race, oh yea, that's right you're supposed to actually be able to race there. The best thing they do at K1 in Redmond is collect money and act pretentious. The 8 of us who went there won't likely be back! read more

Have previously had good experiences here but after a run in with a bad cart in which I crashed due to the poor condition of the tires and the brakes which didn't work unless jammed all the way in I requested another race seeing that I hadn't been able to race properly with my cart. The manager rudely declined to even hear my story professing his faith in the mechanics. In the end he left me with an unapologetic "too bad." Always loved the place but the customer service especially in relation to a potentially dangerous cart is unacceptable. My friend was close to dying due to the neck injuries and contusions on top of the overly inflated prices. The hospital bill was no where as expensive as the cost of beverages and foods. Will never come back here even if I was offered free laps. read more

K1 Speed is a great place to take kids. Although the environment is fun the entire organization and staff are completely sexist. Female racers are given more warnings and have their speed lowered regardless of how well they drive. Would absolutely not go again their behavior is disgusting. read more

I've never been more disappointed and upset when spending a hundred dollars. The track was subpar but the staff was even worse. I've never felt more disrespect and pure hate for their jobs. I was there for my birthday - only a few of us but the employees ruined my time and I left feeling livid and i wasted my time. They were rude, short, and it was obvious they hated their jobs. The actual racing was fun but the experience was not something I will recommend or return to. They shouldn't hire children if they can't enjoy or even pretend to enjoy what they are doing. You're working at a place where people go to have fun. If you can't enjoy that, find another job and stop ruining the fun for others. I had a group of 15 friends going the second week of July, I made sure I talked to them and we've now changed plans. read more

Be careful who you hire to greet your customers! Went to K1 this weekend for a spring break activity with my sons. I had read online reviews from other sites that were very critical of the reception staff but thought we'd give them a shot. Sadly, those poor reviews were spot on! We arrived there at noon and were met with a cold/unhappy check-in gal. (You know the type, clearly not wanting to be there and wanting everyone to know it.) Anyway, she said the wait would be an hour or so. An hour 15 later, we suspected and CONFIRMED with other patrons that several groups who had checked in after us had been granted race times before us. When confronted with this, she mumbled "I don't know what you're talking about" and couldn't look us in the eye. I'd normally give them a 0 star if there was one, but the manager or someone who seemed to have more authority, apologized and tried to rectify the situation by offering to give us a free race on our account. Unfortunately by then, the damage was done. We received a full refund and will be going back to TRAXX in Mukilteo where our experience there has always been a good one. read more

We drove all the way from Ballard to race. Based on the research I had done of the 3 Seattle area go-kart places, this in fit our need in that they advertise karts for juniors. You need to be taller than 4'10" to race. We got there and because our daughter is 4'8", they couldn't let her race in the big kids track. Then they proceeded to tell us that they had not updated their website and that they didn't have junior racing at this facility. They didn't offer us any thing but an apology. They should have offered us something. 45 min. drive for nothing. We won't be back. Oh, and the place was empty. read more

Stay away!! My friend was driving here when the cart hit the barrier which then gave way and landed on top of her. The employees ran out and it took 3 people to lift the barrier off her. She was very upset and crying but what did they ask her?? Don't you want to finish your ride? A lot of CYA here! She was so embarrassed that she got back in the cart crying. I called the next day to let them know she has an abrasion on her arm that was 8x8 in size and it was painful for her to breathe. The manager said she was just fine at the scene and was jumping up and down to finish her ride until.....I let her know that one of us was wearing a GoPro and filmed everything. She changed her tune at this point. The employees are trained to not react and make sure you get back in the cart to finish the ride so that they can avoid a lawsuit by saying you finished the ride. Very unsafe environment that they provide. They make you sign a waiver but that does not exempt them from making sure what they have in place to protect you actually ends up injuring you. I cannot express enough to parents, friends etc. do not go here! read more

I usually go to Traxx for Go-Karting, but I got a coupon for 4 free races here for Christmas and finally put them to use. Customer Service wasn't so great, workers seemed pushy and a little rude. Had to register and give them my address and phone number, and that was surely not settling. On top of that, the coupon did not cover tax, so I had to pay another $5 just to race, when it should be free. Sock and helmet smelt horrible, all three I tried on. There are many rules here- your kart gets slowed down even when you accidentally bump in to a wall. Did 2 race laps. Course is very short and all turns- karts aren't the fastest either. Had to wait 5 minutes because a kart went out during the second race, and didn't get any extra laps for having to wait either. Prices are insane- $30+ for just one race? Poor customer service, insanely strict rules, and a bad track make this a no-go for me. Traxx has far more friendly people, a far better course that is both longer and has more straightaway for speed, costs less, and are far less strict. Plus Traxx has junior karts for kids- you have to be 4'10 to drive one of these Karts. On top of that, they have a very strict policy on minors here, you have to be 18 or have a parent to even drive a kart. You only have to be 16 at Traxx. K1 was a bad experience, but I'm glad at least I tried it so I know not to come back. read more

I visited on a very busy Saturday. They had three birthday parties. The whole staff was very engaged and timing was great. Even though the three parties were going on, my 13 year old son and I were able to race and have fun without long wait times. The staff engaged my son and made him feel very 'cool'. 1st time there...It was late night so they were about to close in few hours. I was stopped several times manually by the stuffs because some professional was chasing me just behind...we were kinda new so we asked to see if they can put us all into a group (they put 8 people into a group for every race)...they said no because they were going to close...well it turned out I played with some strangers...What's the point if I pay $50+ to play with strangers and being stopped every time to let people go?! I got to realized there's a 'let go' flag that warns me to let go after the races because they didn't do the orientation thing to our group! I didn't know the meanings of each flag...Well probably I will never go again and I don't recommend to anyone...The track is narrow and the carts are all different on controlling. Some of them has better control and some of them are just trash. Plus I am 6' and I could not even fit in... read more

Horrible service. They turned the cars down an charged more then what was told. The manager pulled aside a few drivers an told them they didn't know how to drive. Will never go back to this establishment. Sykart is ten times better then this place. 16 second lap times a only get 12 laps.. don't waste your time. Track is tiny an worthless. Go elsewhere. Fun place to race! Watch out for Charles Whitman tho. Employees are helpful and the format of the racing is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Love this place. I've been here about 40 times. I haven't experienced any of the cart issues some have complained about. It's a challenge to drive - but isn't that the point? The karts are fast and if you don't have the right line or know how to handle a turn you will spin out. They have recently redone the track rails so it's looking in great shape. They've also brought in a new manager who is fantastic. Super friendly and very customer focused. Highly recommend! read more
