A restaurant with authentic Pakistan food. Like what Jando S said, the cleanliness of the restaurant is questionable, mainly because the atmosphere is old (tables, chairs, walls, floors, etc). Don't expect to walk into a modern good looking place. If you can look past that, this restaurant isn't a bad place for some good food. I was here on a Friday around lunch time. They have a lot of business. When you first walk in, there's a counter for take out. You also have the option to dine in. My family ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan bread and a Chicken with spinach dish (sorry, forgot the name of it). The Chicken Tikka Masala and the spinach dish was very spicy; a little too overwhelming actually (I have a decent tolerance for spicy food, yet still felt overwhelmed). Both are very delicious and flavorful. The bowls they come in may look quite small, but they're quite generous with meat. Well worth the money. It was worth a visit. I might come back if I increase my tolerance for spicy food. read more

Maybe not the cleanest looking from the outside, the food isn't that disappointing. Spacious restaurant with two floors, usually families dine on the second floor while old Desi men dine downstairs. The service is alright, nothing out of the extraordinary. The decor could use some serious help, the furniture is outdated and there's birthday balloons upstairs, even though it's nobody's birthday. I wouldn't recommend the vegetable or meat samosas, it's preheated and definitely not worth it. But I would strongly suggest the Chicken Tikka Masala with roti or Naan (both are Indian flat breads). According to my friend who grew up in Pakistan, the Tikka Masala is very authentic, similar to what you would get in Karachi. The Bihari kabab is also very exquisite, it's seasoned and cook in a flavorful manner. For vegetarian options, I would get the Chana Masala (chick peas curry) or the Saag Paneer( spinach curry). Both are pretty well cooked, like most vegetarian Indian curries are. I would pass on the desserts and the tea, you could try local sweet shops for better sweets. If it wasn't for the Masala or Bihari, this place could've received two stars. But if your in the area and in the mood for Indian, Kabab is as authentic as they come. read more

I keep on coming back here for what's in its name, "Kabab"! The beef bihari kabab is the only thing that pulls me into this smelly, crowded, and messy spot. When you walk into the "diner", it looks like a s***hole, but fear not there is a seating area with table service upstairs with its weird decor and furniture. Don't even dare to enter the restrooms (unless you can hold your breath for the entire time). The food is fantastic. I've been coming to king Kabab for almost 10 years now. The price is great and there's nothing like those spices - incredible! I have tried their Chinese food and its SO good with a dash of curry in it. The best part is that its 24hrs - great for a late night carve or snack. If you are looking for authentic South Asian experience - I would recommend you going there. Its not a fancy restaurant and not the most spotless place you'll find in the area. But it does give you that Middle Eastern feel you won't get in a lot of these Americanize places. read more

I've tried this place a few times, and if it wasn't for our last visit, I would happily give them 4 stars. This is one of my favorite stops when I go to Jackson Heights, the Bangladeshi part of Queens. The kebabs here are very tasty and the price is good. My favorites are the bihari kebab and seekh kebab. So, what was different this time? Why am I not giving it 4 stars? Actually I'd like to give it 3.5 stars, but will default to 3 since the service was just OK. Also, the tandoori chicken was a bit burnt. When we mentioned it to our waiter, he just gave us a blank stare... This 2 story kebab house has tons of great options. The primary difference between this visit and previous ones: the quality of the meat seemed lower. I've eaten here enough times to notice the difference. The flavors were still spectacular despite the chewiness of some of the meat. Maybe this visit was a fluke, and if I get the better quality meat next time, then I am surely going to raise my rating. Goodness, and everything is so cheap and fresh! Ahh my mouth is watering... Also delightful to mingle with the folks from various countries and people-watch. For the newbies: make sure you don't just look at the dishes displayed behind the counter; look at what the other patrons are actually eating. Dirty and disgusting....why am I even here? Oh yes, because Mom was tired and hungry. The whole place was dirty, the tables were sticky and greasy. The bathroom was absolutely sickeningly disgusting! The naans were so thick and doughy and in every shape imaginable! The goat curry had no flavor, the beef nihari was greasy and tasteless. The okra curry was so slimy! Even the salad was awful, except for the fresh jalapenos...yes...out of all the food, I could only mention the fresh jalapenos! The chutney was....just yogurt mixed with water...no heat at all. The water jug was dirty. Never, ever again will I patronize this gross place! And to think how many people always recommend it!! Either they have a stake in it or they just have no care for hygiene. I already complained to the health department, I don't know how this place is even in business! I haven't been there in over 25 years, but after all the glowing recommendations, I figured well, it's been 25 years..maybe it is better. Hell no! Shame on the owners for having such a filthy place! And to top it off, the waiter asked if we left a tip! We left all the leftover food, we barely ate it...I usually love taking home the leftovers, but this time...I just left it there! REALLY GOOD! I had a samosa, which was standard : Fried, doughy, potato-ey and crispy deliciousness. It was very spicy so I asked for yogurt sauce. I also asked for a chicken kabob in naan with yogurt sauce. SO flavorful, so spicy, so delicious. Everything worked out perfectly from the fluffy break to the spicy kabob and the creamy yogurt. First time there. Terrible food. Ordered goat curry with nan. Both freezing cold. I think the nan was stale. Goat curry all bones no meat and very oily. I mean absolutely no meat. I ordered to go so couldn't go back to complain. Also ordered 2 pieces of tandoori chicken. For some reason that was hot and delicious. Very spicy the way I like. Had a cup of chi. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever seen. I waited nearly 45 minutes for my food after ordering. I asked the cashier and cooks why my food wasn't prepared after such a long wait time, and they didn't seem to care. I've never been to a food establishment with this type of poor customer service. I ended up leaving after 45 minutes. The restaurant is also unsanitary with the cooks wiping their sweat with the same hand they prepare the food with. Flies were also clinging to the menu posted on top of the restaurant. The back also had some homeless individuals that freaked out customers. I would give less than 1 star if I could. read more
