When they first opened they were great, but lately the flavor is just not there. The last two times I ordered take out they messed up the order. The last time I ordered they forgot the dressing for the salad, the garlic for the bread, the soup for one of the entrees AND they gave grilled veggies with one of the entrees instead of rice. It was all written correctly on the receipt. The gallaba with grilled veggies I ordered was very watery and the veggies didn't take like anything at all, like they hadn't been seasoned. read more

Had been there a number of times and never had any problems. We always just ordered a large fatoosh salad and baba ganoush, and it was always delicious. However, my girlfriend and I went there last night and they had a buffet...HUGE MISTAKE! I have since come down with food poisoning. I have had this before and know the symptoms.Sad to say that we won't be going there again. I really did love their fatoosh salad and baba ganoush but I won't risk getting this sick again.And just so everyone is aware, the place is ALWAYS empty. That should be a sign in itself. I would probably give 3.5 starts if that were an option. Food was good. I came for a lunch special though and was charged the dinner price and I pointed through and they didn't seem to care. Yuck! If you are accustomed to authentic, clean, appetizing middle eastern food... Skip this place. I ordered several dishes and they varied from being over and under seasoned, (I know an oxymoron) rice was undercooked, garlic spread was sharp, and did not taste fresh. The restaurant itself had that unclean feeling when I came to pick up a carryout order I'd placed based on "yelp reviews" however I went against my better judgement and didn't walk out when I stepped through the door, as I had placed a big order, and did not want to stick them with all of that food. The staff were pleasant, but that doesn't make up for food that lacked in taste, quality, and presentation. That being said... Yelpers PLEASE! Be real about reviews, make your priority about the flavor, and quality of the food. The good, or bad attitude of the server, and color of the drapes have no bearing on whether or not quality food is being served. Those things are secondary. Review food. read more

We were first timers here tonight, and we will be back. We ordered carry out, when I arrived to pick it up I was a little skeptical but everyone was extremely nice and really went above and beyond. I asked about a desert because I have never seen or heard of it before, the guy put one in my to go bag. The food was reasonable and great, we ordered a ton of it. The kabobs were the best kabobs I have had, the rice that came with it could use a little help though. The Greek and fattoush salads were not outstanding but above average from what you would get from anywhere else. Meat grape leaves were very good. Spicy hummus was a bit too spicy (and we love the spice) but we will for sure be ordering the regular hummus on our next visit. My girlfriend devoured the lemon rice soup and her daughter that doesn't usually eat middle eastern loved her kabobs. Oh and the bread they give you is so good and fresh and it was even still warn when we got home. Lastly the baklava is outstanding. We would Always order lunch from Kabob Castle and referred a lot of people to go there. Now We will NEVER order or refer them again! The delivery was almost an hour late, and we are 1 minute away (per google)! What is worse, is the delivery girl was More then Rude! Our food was spilled all over the bag! She replied with "good thing you have enough napkins" we were appalled and did not tip her. She said she would never deliver for us again and stormed out. We called the restaurant to complain, and the delivery girl Yelled at us and told one of my Stylist to "Keep you Americanized attitude to her self" Her Words! The chicken shawarma used to be good. Like many places, once they are discovered and busy, corners are cut. The price has good up and the chicken is mostly dark meat.The recipe also changed somehow and has some kind of nasty spice in it. Done with this place. Food is pretty good. Some things aren't spiced or made well. Other items are very good. They have a mentally challenged son who sometimes takes orders, if he does it'll be wrong every time. Do not let the son with the mental disability take your order and you should be ok. Inside this place is always filthy. The lentils soup was very tasty. Serving it with a lemon wedge would have made it even better. Garlic sauce was really good; not over powering like some places. Hot bread was a little salty for my taste. Sadly the chicken tawook with lemon oregano, my favorite dish, was dry and didn't have much flavor. Rice was also bland. The food was just not on par with other local middle eastern restaurants in the area. Staff was very nice and friendly. My last few visits here have been a little disappointing. The food just hasn't been the same high quality that it was for over a year. Based on my last few visits, I'm inclined to give it three stars, but I've had so many great meals here in the past that I cant knock it down to a 3 yet. I grew up in Sterling Heights so I've dined at a lot of Middle Eastern restaurants... Kabob Castle is definitely at the top of my list! Their hummus and puff bread is perfect, the side Lebanese salad that you get with your meal is enormous, and their chicken gallaba was awesome. I have to say though, their rice pilaf with almonds was probably the best I've had since my Armenian grandma could still cook the family recipe. On top of amazing food and top notch service, I was super impressed by the fact that they offer a $9.99 all you can eat buffet on Sundays! We will definitely be back for that. Yes, there are plenty of Middle Eastern restaurants in the area, but this is definitely worth the drive to the east side if you're not from this area. read more

I order from there and have it delivered , i'm handicap and don't drive , i order their KIBBEH NAYEE [ raw kibbee ] you do get more than other places give you , for the same price , and pita bread is fresh , i even tried their cheeseburger and fried , you get a lot of fried for the money the burger was very good , i even asked then to make the fries crispy and they did , the delivery person was very friendly and helpful , me being in a wheelchair they put the food and pop on the kitchen table for me , i am very happy with this restaurant , i will order from there again read more
