Absolutely delicious. Our first time in there, the owner was very nice and welcoming. We were about order a ton of food to try, but he insisted that the dishes were large portion, and we would not finish. Boy, was he correct. I had never done this before, but I walked out of this restaurant after ordering my food. First, we walked in, and some random guy sitting in a booth at the back just yelled to us from his seat, "you can sit right there." What a host, haha. Then a lady came by and threw menus at us. They seriously seemed so bothered that we were eating at their restaurant (insert laughing crying emoji). I brushed this all aside, figuring maybe there were just some cultural differences I wasn't aware of. This is where I started getting frustrated. The owner was "serving" us. He got pretty impatient when we were ordering our food- I guess we took too long? He turned his back to me and walked away as I was addressing him. Then, the whole time he was taking our order, he was on the phone- had it on SPEAKER PHONE. It was extremely loud. We had ordered water right from the getgo. No one brought us our water, but we literally watched the owner warmly greet some customers who walked in way after us and immediately fetch them waters... what?! Mind you- this was a Wednesday night. It was not busy at all. That was the last straw, so we walked out, and he followed us out to our cars. I told him why we were leaving- the service was terrible. He kept insisting/arguing, so we left. Super disappointing- the food sounds sooo good! But I expect a little respect when I'm paying for food. read more

I had the Mantoo-very generous serving of 9 pieces-with a wonderful yogurt sauce topped with cilantro. After the change in ownership, I'm happy to report that this place tastes more authentic, fresh and amazing. The new owner takes the extra mile to serve only fresh food. My wife and I always start with bolani (flatbread) and/or sambosa, which is kind of like an empanada but with Middle-eastern spices. The tekka lamb kebabs are the highlight, tender and perfectly seasoned. The shami kebobs are legit. Chicken kebobs are surprisingly tender and flavorful. The rice is just the perfect compliment and the green dipping sauce is something I am always scraping to get every last drip of at the end of each meal. It reminds me of good Argentinian chimichurri. The baklava is also balanced and perfect here as they're topped with the crumbled pistachio. One of my favorite places to dine out in Boise. It's a travesty that this place is quiet. read more

First time to try this place. I love my ethnic food. I was given a to go menu when I walked in & asked to have it to go. I pointed toward the chicken kabob with (chicken, rice, spinach, naan bread, & sauce). What I got was not what I wanted. I only received the rice, chicken, salad & sauce. When I phoned the establishment and spoke to someone of my displeasure in what I received, I was repeatedly told everything is paid extra! So, I paid $13 for chicken, rice, & salad! Wow!! I told him if I knew what I was pointing at and requesting was not, what I would get. I would have asked for different. Not going back. My office was surprised at what I received as well. Wow. Just wow. I don't know if my wife and I were just really hungry (which we were) or the food was that freaking good (which it ABSOLUTELY was), but we finished everything. We licked the plates clean!! The naan was fantastic. Soooooooo big. I didn't know they offered a garlic and onion naan, but next time we come, we will definitely order it. The basmati rice was some of the best we've ever had. The chicken tikka masala was phenomenal. We were informed that the chicken in the masala was actually the chicken from the chicken kabobs. NO WONDER IT WAS SO GOOD. When (IF) you cut the chicken up and eat it with very little sauce, the chicken stands out on its own, but the chicken and the sauce together is a 20/10. The ambiance is great. We came a little late; 9:30, so it was empty and we got the best service ever. The owner greeted, seated, and waited on us. He was great. He made us feel like we were family. He gave us the best seat in the house, explained the food to us in great detail, and he took so much care when placing the food on our table. He lined everything up perfectly and placed it in a way that made eating very comfortable. I honestly felt like I was at an uncles house or brothers house.
