The food is good but this place seem to feel the need to fleece it's customers on little stuff. You go in the menu say one thing and they are charging you another. And that always give off broke vibes to me, like are you going out of business? I always come here and I ask for extra onions and tomatoes on my wraps when I've never been charged before. This last time they charged me 3$ (6$ total was padded onto my bill, disgusting!) per to just onions and tomatoes, it doesn't even cost anything for those things, but to charge an exorbitant rate for them is insane. And there been multiple times this happened where being charged one min something extra and the other I'm not. Even on the menu it says salad of your choice yet the have an upcharge for sharazi salad which tomatoes and cucumbers being overpriced. I ordered from there with Uber Eats as I was on a business trip. I ordered the mixed grill which comes with rice and pita bread and fries. The only good thing was the rice probably. The meat was undercooked, no spices used and no salt, so tasteless, the fries were saggy, not fresh at all and the pita bread was missing from the order. They charge 3$ for a coke and the cup is so small. This is crazy. This place shouldn't be in business. Sorry but you can do better. read more

What an awful experience here. I've been here before but today was a mess. The waitress wouldn't let me sit outside because it looked like rain and said no hookah could be smoked. I ordered food and drinks inside. The bar attendee seemed a little ditzy. She gave me an empty ketchup bottle. And took almost 10 mins to make my drink. I sat inside and About 30 minutes later they allowed someone else to sit outside. When I called them out on it a female told me it's because only one table can sit outside then I asked the man and he told me a different story and said I could go but if it started to rain no refund would be given. If you want hookah, you can sit in the outdoor patio right in front of the restaurant. It is located next to Red Pepper Taqueria on the right and a mattress store on the left. Parking is available in the back. We ordered a hookah, chicken kabob, chicken shwarma, and I forgot what the others ordered, but these were worthy of mention. Food was tasty, didn't feel stale. Lot's of rice, some garlic sauce, a chutney like sauce, and a side. Service in the am hours was also good. I have been coming here for YEARS now, I'd say late 2015 early 2016. My bestie and I would leave Sundaze at the W then come right over here for Hookah. The vibe is super chill, and the food is delicious and fresh. My go to drink is the European which is made with Henny and a few others. Loved it! Hole in the wall look, but with great food and even better drinks. The food was well seasoned and I could eat the white sauce with a spoon. It was so good that I was craving it the next day and wished I would have ordered an extra meal to go. When I visit Atlanta, I visit Kabob Land. The food is always great and I love that you can sit outside on their patio, have a glass of wine and smoke hookah. I always order the chicken kabob, which comes with rice and a side salad. The dressing is already on the salad, which I usually don't like, but they put just the right amount on the salad. I LOVE the sauces they give you with the kabob entrees. I have no clue what either of them are, but the green one is amazing and I always ask for an extra! As a man with allergies, I've grown into the annoying but necessary habit of asking the waiter what's in a specific dish before I order. Being this was my first time at a Mediterranean style menu restaurant, I asked the waiter specifically, "IS THERE ANY CURRY, JERK, TUMERIC or ALLSPICE in this dish." Because I honestly wasn't sure, this wasn't my restaurant pick. I made it clear that I am allergic to the taste of those spices and if they were in the dish I would just order a drink and eat at home, my family knows the drill. The waiter reassured me that those spices weren't in my meal and that it was just lamb with a yogurt based sauce. Boy oh boy.... Food comes out, LOOKS good. Salad was EXTREMELY basic and wet but okay I'll deal with that. Now about this overcooked well done lamb! One dip into the "yogurt sauce" and as soon as it touched my tongue I knew something was wrong. The last time I tasted this taste it triggered an asthma attack and my face was swollen for a week! Instantly I told my wife something was wrong, she tasted it and knew automatically it was some sort of curry sauce. I flag down "Lusine" our server according to the receipt, dark skinned average height male with an accent (he never gave his name so I'm not sure honestly) and I ask him "What is in this sauce? It taste like curry and I explained I am allergic to those spices." He tells me he will check with the kitchen, then comes back and says "they said it's a secret and they can't share what's in it and if you have allergies you shouldn't eat here" I LIE TO YOU NOT! I allow him to take my plate instead of causing a scene, order a Coke Zero and wait for my party to finish. Not only did we pay but we gave that mandatory tip also, even though it was just 4 of us. I get home and here comes the throat swelling, choked me out of my tiredness, now me and the wife are running around trying to find an open store with Benadryl. My brother in law comes over and brings some since all the stores were closed and going to the hospital in this pandemic is a last resort. Not only did my throat swell and my face blow up again, but I've had to take off work because of the resulted blurred vision! My issue is not that they serve food with those spices, my issue is not even the lack of covid precautions and terrible customer service because I chose to stay there. My issue is the complete disregard for human life. If a customer tells you they have a specific allergy, and you then tell the customer their meal does not contain that food/spice/etc...you could be signing a death certificate. Some people can literally die from their allergies, so if you aren't going to post that kind of info on the menu atleast educate your staff so they can help unknowing customers be informed. Plus this meal was not" to die for!" I left hungrier than when I arrived. I hope they read this so they can better educate Lusine and all other employees so they don't kill someone with this "secret sauce" dude acted like I asked for the Krabby patty formula, I'm trying NOT to kill over in this place, SMH. I even tried to order it to go and I still have to wait. It takes too long and it's not worth waiting for. The similarity probably just stopped there. When I received my chicken kabob and my friends received their orders, we were surprised. My friends went like they thought the chicken kabob should come in two skewers. They went on and said the last time they were there, the female staff served them some bread too. I looked at my order, a whole lot of rice and one skewer with just 6 small pieces of chicken meat. Sorry, based on taste alone, the chicken kabob was far from those at Ameer's. I went on to look at those pictures posted on yelp, yep just one skewer of meat. And charging a price like Ameer's and Agora's but in a smaller portion, that's called overcharging. The rice has nothing to rave about too. The lunch was a complete flop. The only server was so hard to get hold of when we wanted the check. My friends both said they would not be returning. What awful management. When I arrived to pick up an order placed by phone last night, the restaurant refused to honor the prices posted on their website. At around 9pm last night, I reviewed the Kabob Land menu on their website and called in an order for the "lamb kabob plate," listed at $14.95. Before I could confirm the total price, the employee hung up on me. I arrived at the restaurant after 15 minutes as my order was just coming off of the grill. The employee at the counter proceeded to ring up the order--for a total of $20.00. When I asked why the charge was so high, she explained that the prices had gone up, pointing to a new paper menu on the counter and looking at me as if it were my fault that there was a discrepancy between it and their online menu. I explained that I had placed the order based on the prices online--which, 15 minutes later, were still publicly posted. There was no indication--either from the website or the employee on the phone--that there was a new price. The employee just stared at me blankly, so I accessed kaboblandatl.com/menu on my phone to show her website to her and her colleague. The colleague kindly went to get the manager, who approached me then continued to walk past without acknowledging me. The colleague, watching her boss walk away, told me confidently that the new prices appear correctly on the desktop version of the website. Ok. So I hit "Request Desktop Site" in the Safari browser and showed her that it was the same. Unfazed, she changed tack and told me with the same confidence that it was the lunch menu. Ok again. I scrolled up to reveal the title of the page in big white letters, "Dinner Menu." At this point, I told the counter employee that if they were not going to honor their advertised price, I did not want the meal. So, I left it there on the counter and walked away sad and hungry. I had been fasting all day (my problem not theirs, of course) and was really looking forward to my first meal of the day, so one can imagine that it was not easy to walk away from a prepared meal, however incorrectly priced. Really, the issue for me was not that the price was high (it very much was), but that they had falsely advertised. I understand that it was a small mistake or oversight on their part, and they will probably update the site soon. But I, the customer, shouldn't pay for the establishment's mistake. More than that, I live the next block over and had hoped to make this a convenient, regular dinner spot. On my one prior visit, the dinner had been a study in mediocrity. But, hope springing eternal, I'd hoped that it was a fluke and tried to give them a second chance last night. I lived in Europe for eight years. After moving back to the U.S I've been trying to find a great doner spot in the ATL. I tried this spot out Saturday and was very disappointed.
